Essay Directions: Answer the following questions.

Scenario: “Imagine if we wanted to find out Ice Cream flavor of all First Year students in

JRMSU Dapitan”.

1. Can we use the whole population? Explain.

Yes, we can definitely use the population, however we will take a broad parameter that

we might not be able to cope up with at the same time. By using the sample, it could give

us a reliable number of respondents to work on the research and will give us a quick

access to an urgent data.

2. Why do we use a sample?

We use a sample for practicality. Sample can be a representation of a whole population

and it could give the researchers an insights of the whole picture. By just taking a sample

it can be more manageable for the researchers since it is a much smaller group.
