Assignment: Learning and Development & Its Benefits Webinar Reflection

Introduction
Learning and Development and Its Benefits Webinar strives to increase group and individual

performance by acquiring and enhancing skills and information. This is commonly referred to as

training and development, a component of an organization’s talent management strategy and it

is intended to match group and individual objectives and performance with the organization’s

overarching vision and mission. Also, it enables employees to continue developing their abilities

and becoming flexible and highly adaptive, as technological innovations and employment

concerns can occur spontaneously. Hence, utilizes diverse platforms to flourish and implement

the latest inclinations and developments.

Summary of Observation

 Connection of competency framework to the human resource management pillars.

 Benefits of learning and development in coping with the reality of life

 Knowing yourself more by giving honest assessment and filling gaps

Reflection

Numerous benefits of learning and development were presented which I agree with since they

are really happening like greater staff enthusiasm results to a financial gain, as well as an

expanded capacity for implementing new techniques and procedures. Increased innovative

techniques and products, as well as reduced personnel turnover, will help to strengthen the

knowledge and abilities of employees at all levels of the business, consequently enhancing labor

morale. Additionally, people will assist the business in determining its objectives where it helps

to improve a business' image. Also, knowledge, skills and attitudes (KSA) are not just the

capabilities of a person should possess we must also have the three K’s known as kaalaman,
kakayahan at kabutihan to perform our duties. I gave importance to the three K’s since for me it

is easier to inculcate it in my life as a future employee. I was stunned about the question “have

you done an honest assessment of yourself?” since most of the time I always focus on my best

capabilities that I already ignore my weaknesses where I should focus on improving myself so I

can allot a room for changes and development. Asking questions during webinars are very

helpful since it allows us students to self-reflect and assess ourselves more so a big thumbs up

for our speaker who made the webinar more conversational.

Conclusion

This webinar assists me in focusing on my objectives and acquiring new experiences that help

me develop my mentality and skill set for dealing with a variety of obstacles, while also

maintaining my sanity during this pandemic. All of these elements contribute to my general

health and well-being, which enables me to recognize my latent potentials and quit beating

myself up over a failed professional path. Also, broadening my skill set enables me to appreciate

my worth to a large number of individuals, which fosters contentment and mental wellness.

Moreover, self-reflection is very helpful also in assessing my learning process where I can get

insights to improved myself. I felt like I need to evaluate and become true to myself more that I

need to face the reality where I I am adulting and facing a lot of responsibilities. It helps me

gained back my passion to pursue my dream, it took me a while to overcome my fear of being a

failure after I graduate or pursue managerial accounting. I felt like I was released from the chains

that is wrapped around me, the amount of freedom and energy is amazing I will make sure that I

will not let those chains stop me from achieving my goals. I hope others also find the courage to

stand up and fight for their dreams like no on can stop them. Overall, we learned a lot from the

speaker I hope our school will conduct more educational and informative webinars that will help

us grow as a person as well as career growth.
