VADEA is pleased to announce the second in a series of swap meet professional development days at Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design on Tuesday 22nd October, 2013. This professional development day involves Visual Arts teachers joining together to share program ideas, units of work and resouces while also gathering inspiration to take back to their schools and classrooms. The day will be structured around a series of short 20 minute presentations from experienced and newer visual arts educators from a wide range of schools. The focus will be on sharing strategies, ideas and resources for Stages 3-6 on topics that include (but are not limited to) photography, visual design, ceramics, printmaking, art history and criticism, animation, digital technology and painting. Each participant is requested to bring along a unit of work, program or an extract from one of these that they are willing to share with a small group of collegues. We invite participants to focus on innovative ways they address practice, the conceptual framework and the frames in the classroom.
