COURSE DESCRIPTION : This course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of an individual in PC Operation in accordance with industry standards. It covers basic and common competencies in addition to core competencies such as operating a wordprocessing application, using e-mail and searching the web by the use of browsers, operating a spreadsheet application and operating a presentation package. SUMMARY OF LEARNING OUTCOMES: Upon completion of the course, the trainees/students must be able to: 1. Participate in Workplace Communication 2. Work in a Team Environment 3. Practice Career Professionalism 4. Practice Occupational Health and Safety Procedures 5. Apply Quality Standards 6. Operate a Personal Computer 7. Operate a Word-Processing Application 8. Use E-mail and Search the Web using Browsers 9. Operate a Spreadsheet Application 10. Operate a Presentation Package ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Trainees or students should posses the following requirements:

Must be physically and mentally fit Must be of good moral character Can communicate either orally or in writing Must be a high school graduate Must pass the trainability/aptitude test
