Our benevolent offering will be received next Sunday during both services for the Biblical Counseling Center. ANNOUNCEMENTS Choir Practice Begins Today! Calling all voices! Please join us at 4 PM every 1st & 3rd Sunday for choir practice beginning today. The holidays will soon be here and we would love to add your voice to our church choir! Fellowship Lunch - Fall has come and its time to celebrate the cooler nights and bright days with a Mexican theme. Tacos, burritos, rice and beans, fresh salsaCome and join us! Lets spice it up and have a wonderful fellowship meal on October 13! As usual, bring a main dish and a side or dessert.

ANNOUNCEMENTS Pastor Appreciation Weekend The weekend of October 11-13 is Pastor Appreciation Weekend. On Friday, October 11 the pastors and elders of our church, along with their wives will gather together for dinner and a time of fellowship. On Sunday, October 13 the pastors will be publicly acknowledged in our morning worship service and will be our guests of honor at our fellowship meal that day. How can you express your appreciation for our pastors? First, you can sign a card at the table in the gym today. Second, you can attend worship on October 13 and then be present at the fellowship meal, even if you do not usually stay for lunch. Doing these things will communicate your love to our pastors. Our Pastors Steve Igo, Mick Knierim, Micah Shin Chris Post, Ken Smith, Larry Johnson Cadet Council Wide Chuckwagon- On October 11 & 12, our Cadets will be camping Friday night and participating in a chuckwagon competition Saturday at Rush Creek Campground. Please see Tom Dykema to sign up for this event. 2014 Budget Process During the month of October, the Cedar Deacons will be preparing a draft Church Budget to distribute to the congregation in the month of November. Please see a deacon if you have any suggested line items for the first draft of the budget. Womens Conference 2013 White Chocolate Peppermint Popcorn. Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites. Salted Toffee Bark. All these yummy and unusual treats feature two main ingredients--sugar and salt. And that is exactly what God has called women to be--sweet and salty! How? COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS Basketball Coach Needed - Zion Christian School is looking for two basketball coaches: one for its boys JV basketball team and another for one of the boys junior high teams. The auction will feature many great items, including an iPad mini, a KitchenAid Mixer, an African Safari, tickets to the Detroit Lions, and a few fun surprises! The evening includes silent and live auctions, as well as a delicious meal. Zeeland Civic Chorus Invites You - The Zeeland Civic Chorus will begin rehearsals for the 74th performance of the Messiah on Sunday, October 13, at 2:15 pm at the First Protestant Reformed Church at 3641 104th Ave, Zeeland. You are invited to join the chorus! Blood Drive - Consider giving the gift of life by donating blood. Jamestown Christian Reformed Church at 1653 Riley St., Hudsonville is holding a blood drive in their Activity Building on Monday, Oct. 14 from 3-7 PM. Hearing assist units are available from the soundmen located at the left side of the auditorium. Please feel free to ask for one. For the benefit of those who would like to hear the service while caring for a little one, we have a cry room equipped with speakers located in the Teachers Lounge across the hall from the gym. You are welcome to use this as needed. Bibles and hymnals are available on a cart at the back of the auditorium. If you are new to Cedar or visiting, please stop by our literature table in the foyer for more information about Cedar and a gift for you. Please take time to let us know more about you by filling out the connection card included in the bulletin and placing it in the offering plate.
