The Sabah Computer Society, with the support of the Ministry of Resource Development th th and IT (KPSKTM), is organising the COMPUTER CAMP 2013 on 08 - 10 November 2013 (Friday Sunday) at the Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort & Spa (formerly known as Perkasa Hotel), Kundasang, Ranau. It will be a 3 days/2 nights stay-over camp. Our theme for this year is Social Communication in Mobile Device. With the ever increasing demand of mobile communication, smart-phone devices are here to stay. As the growing needs increased, we are here to provide some sharing to our Senior Citizens to share and to depart some knowledge in this mobile technology. This years program will be designed to serve the innovation of Android platform mobile telecommunication. The Samsung Note 3 will be selected as the device for this year training program. As this years Camp is held in Kundasang, preference will be given to the Senior Citizens of Ranau, Kota Belud and Marudu residence. However, those in other areas can submit their application and subject to selection from our Organising Committee. The Organisers reserved the sole right over the selection process of applications. Only short-listed participants will be notified within 2 weeks after the closing date of Registration either by

email, SMS or telephone.

Kindly refer to the Registration Form on its Pre-requisites and Terms & Conditions prior to your submission. Participation to COMPUTER CAMP 2013 FOR THE G-OLDIES is FREE and limited to 40 participants only. Priority will be given to 1st timer who has never participated in any of our previous Computer Camps. Participants must be over 55 years old (as per date of Camp). Good health and good command of the English language is a necessity. Selected participants will have to reach the designated Camp venue through their own arrangement as Transportation will not be provided. The completed form (as attached) must be returned to the Sabah Computer Society by faxing to 088-236206 on or before 20thOctober 2013. Terms and Conditions

1. Whatever appears in these terms and conditions, the term the Organiser shall mean the Sabah Computer Society, the Camp shall mean the activity named COMPUTER CAMP 2013 FOR THE G-OLDIES organised by the Organiser, the Participant shall mean the participant of the Camp. The venue for the Camp is at the Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort & Spa, Kundasang, Ranau, Sabah and the Camp shall be held on 08th, 09th & 10th November 2013 for 3 days and 2 nights. This is a stay-overnight camp whereby all participants will be provided accommodation at the Camp venue. Under no circumstances, all participants must adhered and comply to stay-in the venue throughout the Camp duration. Those who do not comply may be asked to withdraw from the Camp even though selected by the Organizers. Selected participants must reach the Camp venue by 2.00pm on 08th Nov for registration and shall depart home by 3.00pm on 10th Nov after the Closing Ceremony. Participation is free of charge and limited to 40 participants only. Participants should be restricted to Sabahans & Resident of Sabah only. Only short-listed participants will be notified and SCS reserved the right to select the criteria of participation from the applicants. Closing date for the submission of application shall be on 20 October 2013. The Applicant must complete the participation form and submit to the Organiser on or before the specified closing date. The Organiser reserves the right to reject incomplete application forms and or/forms received after the closing date. Only short-listed applicants will be informed in due course by the Organiser. The Organiser shall make available to the participants the required Mobile Device for use during the Camp on a sharing basis with other participants. However, all participants are liable to take good care of the DEVICE and forbidden to install any other software apart from those taught by the Trainer during the session. Due care must be adhered for the safety and usage of the DEVICE and participants will be liable for the cost to any damage on the assigned peripherals. Organiser shall provide foods and drinks to the participants throughout the 3 days Camp. However, participant shall bring along their own personal requirements like warm clothings, personal medication and any other auxiliary items deem fit by themselves. The Participants shall also be responsible for their own transport to & from the camp venue. The Organiser shall ensure adequate security measures during the Camp. However, participants participate at their own risks. The Organiser shall not be liable for any claim or whatsoever arising as a result of participating in the Camp. 9. The Participants are required to attend any briefings by the Organiser prior to the Camp. Notice on the briefing will be given through the participants contact number or by e-mail or SMS whichever is convenient.

10. Pre-requisites for all participants : Must be IT literate & have fair knowledge on Internet Access. Must have a fair knowledge in the English language Good and fit physical condition Possess some knowledge in the Mobile Device is an added advantage Priority will be given to 1st timer who has not participated in any of our previous Computer Camp for Senior Citizens. 11. There will be project/s assigned to all participants. Projects must be genuinely developed by the participants themselves. Details of the project will be assigned during the Camp. Participants will be required to present a 10-15 minutes presentation on their project. 12. A group of judges will be appointed by the Organiser to judge the project. A maximum mark of 100 will be given to the project. The judges decision is final. 13. All briefings, lectures, trainings and projects are to be in English language. 14. The Organiser shall have the full rights to all the output of the projects/activities during the camp. 15. Certificate of Participation will be awarded to each participant. Prizes will be presented to Winners, whose project has accumulated the highest marks.
