Simple Future Tense S + will/to be going to + V1

Fungsi Menyatakan kegiatan yang akan dimulai di masa akan datang. Contoh I will start studying Korean next month.

Pola kalimat future juga bisa menggunakan tenses lain: Present progressive biasanya untuk kejadian sudah direncanakan dan sudah pasti, terutama dalam waktu dekat I am leaving for Indonesia next week Simple present biasanya untuk kejadian yang sudah pasti dan tidak ber ubah The museum opens at 10 oclock tomorrow.

Pola Positive S + will+ V1 S + [to be] + going to + V1 Negative S + will not + V1 S + [to be] + not + going to + V1 Question Will + S + V1? [to be] + S + going to + V1? Wh-Question + will + S + V1? Wh-Question + [to be] + S + going to + V1? Contoh I will clean the house tonight. I am going to clean the house tonight. She will not clean the house tonight. She is not going to clean the house tonight. Will you return the book tomorrow? Are you going to return the book tomorrow? What will we do after class? What are we going to do after class?

Will not = wont

Menyatakan keputusan yang spontan pada saat bicara (reaksi) Contoh: A: You have an email from John B: Okay, I will reply his email Menyatakan janji. Contoh: I will buy you a new computer if you get good grade this semester. Menyatakan prediksi di masa yang akan datang menurut apa yang kita pikirkan atau percayai. Contoh: I think it will rain later so take an umbrella with you Menyatakan penawaran atau permintaan tolong (voluntary action). Contoh: A: I lost my wallet. B: I will help you to find it

Going to
Menyatakan keputusan yang sudah diambil sebelumnya Contoh: A: You have an email from John B: Yes, I know. I am going to reply his email after lunch. Menyatakan niat atau rencana Contoh: I am going to visit my grandmother. Menyatakan kegiatan di masa akan datang yang berhubungan dengan masa sekarang atau yang kita bisa lihat sekarang. Contoh: The sky is dark. It is going to rain.

Future Progressive Tense

e.g. I will be singing in the party tomorrow.

Fungsi Menyatakan kegiatan yang akan sedang terjadi di masa akan datang. Contoh I will be studying Korean tonight.

Future Progressive Tense

Pola Positive S + will be + Ving Negative S + will not be + Ving Question Will + S + be + Ving? Wh-Question + will + S + be + Ving? Contoh I will be taking nap in the afternoon. She will not be playing guitar during the party. Will they de doing the exam next Monday?

Will not = wont

Future Perfect
e.g. We will have finished the exam by 2 oclock.

Fungsi Menyatakan kegiatan yang akan telah dilakukan di masa akan datang Contoh We will have left home by 10 AM.

Future Perfect
Pola Positive S + will have + V3 Contoh I will have finished this task by tomorrow morning. She will not have finished her homework tonight. Will you have finished reading this book by next week? What will you have achieved when you are 40 years old?

Negative S + will not have + V3

Question Will + S + have + V3? Wh-Question + will + S + have + V3?

Will not = wont
