Girona is situated in the Northeast of Catalonia in Spain. There is a population of over 97,198 people. Barcelona is 99 kilometers Northeast of Girona. Girona is a very historic city. The motto of Girona is; Girona menamora Which means I fall in love with Girona.

Girona has a total area of 39.14km2. the landscpae varies from the sandy beaches along the Mediterranean and the mountainous land of the Pyrenees Mountain Range. Girona is at the confluence of the rivers Ter, Onyar, Galligants and Guell.

 There are food, textile, paper, chemical, machinery,

and other industries in Girona.

 Santa Feliu; A famous church with 14th century

gothic style. It contains the tomb od lvarez and the chapel is dedicated to St.Narcissus who is one of the earliest bishops. Santa Pere de Galligants; The Benedictine church of Sant Pere de Galligants is in early Romanesque style.
