Spotlight on Sam N.

Clements
The Month of October was Pastor Appreciation Month. The Pastors Booster Team would like to thank everyone for being so cooperative and participating to make this the best Pastor Appreciation ever. There was special singing and wonderful dances of praise from After His Heart Dance Ministry and new comers, Destiny and Sabrina. We were blessed to hear from Brother Anderson who spoke so eloquently the first Sunday. The congregation experienced the sound of the Shafer for the first time. Sister Llewellyn being anointed by God spoke to our hearts with great compassion. The fourth Sunday the Lord used Brother Smith to share his personal testimony. He had the congregate thoroughly engaged and we thank God for his passion to soldier on. The Pastor Appreciation Luncheon was delicious. Because of the saints generosity, there was a great abundance of food. Thanks to all that prepared, cooked, set-up and cleaned. The Pastor and Sister Sterling thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the special attention given to them. Also, a special thank you goes to Sister Fox for cleaning, varnishing the pews and alter; and to Sister Anderson and her special helpers for redecorating the vestibule, it is fabulous! It is both an honor and a privilege to welcome a man of distinction, The General Presbyter of North America, Sam N. Clements to our church. Bishop Clements will be our guest speaker November 24, 2013. Let us seek God for his anointing that Bishop Clements is used to deliver a message that tends to our needs. Then, immediately following the service let us fellowship together at our annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Dont forget to invite someone. Expect a Blessing!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT FROM PASTOR STERLINGS DESK Finding Good in the Bad Wish good for those who harm you; Wish them well and do not curse them. ROMANS 12:14 It would be hard to find someone worse than Judas. Some say he was a good man with a backfired strategy. I dont buy that. The Bible says, Judas was a thief (John 12:6). The man was a crook. Somehow he was able to live in the presence of God and experience the miracles of Christ and remain unchanged. In the end he decided hed rather have money than friend, so he sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver Judas was a scoundrel, a cheat, and a bum. How could anyone see him any other way? I dont know, but Jesus did. Only inches from the face of his betrayer, Jesus looked at him and said, Friend, do what you came to do (Matt. 26:50). What Jesus saw in Judas as worthy of being called a friend, I cant imagine. But I do know that Jesus doesnt lie, and in that moment he saw something good in a very bad man He can help us do the same with those who hurt us.
