(A Bi-annual multidisciplinary journal of Osmania University Centre for International Programmes)

About OUCIP Osmania University Centre for International Programmes (OUCIP), Osmania University, Hyderabad 500007 (A.P.), India, came into existence when the University was formally given charge of the erstwhile American Studies Research Centre (ASRC) by the UGC in 2006. It has since been a Centre catering to research activities and collaboration with universities across the globe. Its vast library is popular among scholars of all ages belonging to different disciplines. It has hosted a number of International Conferences. Eminent scholars from reputed universities worldwide give lectures at the Centre regularly. The Centre also arranges training programmes such as Refresher Courses, Research Methodology Workshops, etc., often jointly with other institutions. OUCIP has also been offering Pre and Post-doctoral fellowships with funding from the US consulate in Hyderabad. The Journal The launch of journal should be understood in the context of globalization that is drawing various social, economic, political and environmental processes together in the present day world. It defines the field

of International Studies as largely multidisciplinary. It connects International Studies integrally to all social sciences. OUCIP Journal of International Studies, initiated with the support of Jim Roach Endowment, is a multi-disciplinary publication of Osmania University Centre for International Programmes, Osmania University, Hyderabad 500007, (A.P.), India. It is a refereed Journal that publishes analytical articles on International Studies from the broad fields of Social Sciences. It is a bi-annual journal published in June and December. The first volume of the Journal is scheduled for publication in December 2013.

Submissions
OUCIP invites research contributions in International Studies pertaining to the broad fields of Social Sciences (i.e. economic, political, social, historical, media, legal, administrative, environmental and comparative studies). The Journal publishes three categories of contributions: articles of about 2,000 3,000 words; special articles of about 5,000 6,000 words and Jim Roach Memorial special article/articles on American Studies. Besides these, the Journal also carries a few brief book reviews. All articles are subject to review by referees at the discretion of the Editorial Board, before being considered for publication. Contributors are requested to follow the guidelines given below. All submissions should be addressed to The Editor, OUCIP

Guidelines and Style


All categories of contributions should be composed using MS Word 97-2007. A hard copy (A4 size) should be sent along with the CD/DVD and a soft copy should be sent to the email address mentioned above. Special articles should contain an abstract of about 100 words summing up the main arguments. No endnote references should be included in the abstract.

All categories of contributions should by accompanied by a signed declaration of originality and conformance to research ethics; also, that the article has not been sent to any other journal for publication and a brief resume of the author in about 50 words.
