The Coming of the Spirit

When the time for Pentecost was ful-
filled, they were all in one place together. And
suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a
strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house
in which they were. Then there appeared to them
tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest
on each one of them. And they were all filled
with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in
different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to
proclaim. Acts 2:1-4

Come Holy Spirit! In any discernment
of Gods call, we need to call on the Holy Spirit
to come to fill and inspire us. Do we think to call
on the Holy Spirit? Pentecost reminds us to do
this not just on one day during the year, but
every day.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Pedro Umaa, OFM

IN THE DIOCESE

In Loving Memory of the Unborn: Across our
nation, millions of mothers, fathers and family mem-
bers experience the unresolved and often undefined
grief associated with the loss of a child through abor-
tion. One common need of families of aborted chil-
dren is for a unique place of healing.
a place where loss and grief can be shared with
others who have suffered similarly
a place where unborn children can be honored and
remembered in a tangible way
a place of closure
Soon there will be such a place, a memorial monu-
ment at the San Luis Obispo Cemetery, dedicated to
healing many generations pained with the loss of a
child through abortion. Join local Pro-Life groups in
fundraising efforts to erect this memorial monument.
Donations may be made to CCMEC Memorial; P.O.
