It is IndyGos (Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation) mission to provide a customer focused, scally responsible and a diversied public transportation program that is safe, clean and reliable for citizens and visitors of Marion County. IndyGo is a Municipal Corporation of Indianapolis/Marion County whose funding is derived from multiple sources including federal assistance, state funds, local funds and passenger fare revenue.

IndyGos Fixed Routes primarily serve Marion County, using a hub-andspoke system that brings most routes into the downtown area. The Route 8 serves the Indianapolis International Airport every 30 minutes, seven days a week.

IndyGo offers Frequent Service on three routes Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Route 39 East 38th Street and portions of Route 8 Washington and 20 minute frequency or better Route 10 10th Street depart every 20 Mon. - Fri. 7 a.m - 5 p.m. minutes or better. IndyGos Open Door service is a reservation-based, curb-to-curb paratransit service for persons with disabilities. In order to use the Open Door service, individuals must apply and be deemed eligible by IndyGo staff. To apply, visit www.IndyGo.net or call customer service at 317.635.3344.
When half a block from your desired IndyGo stop, signal that you wish to exit the bus by pulling down on the cord that runs the length of the bus, just above the windows. If possible, please exit from the back door of the bus.
Plan your trip with a System Map to determine the best route to your destination, Route Maps to see the major stops and schedule of a specic route, Google Maps by clicking the transit icon as your mode of travel, the Quick Trip Planner at IndyGo.net, or our Customer Service Call Center at 317.635.3344. Go to an IndyGo stop at least 5 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive. Make yourself visible to the driver and signal you wish to board. If you need the bus to be lowered, ask the driver to kneel the bus. When boarding, insert money into the fare box, only single ride and day passes are on the bus. If you already have a pass, insert it into the pass reader to activate or swipe your pass if it is already activated. Once on board, take a seat or hold onto a rail while the bus is moving. Do not stand in front of the yellow line at the front of the bus and please leave the seats in the front of the bus for persons with disabilities, mobility devices, expectant mothers and the elderly. Personal belongings must be in your lap or on the oor clear of the aisle way and empty seats.
All IndyGo buses are ADA accessible with ramps or lifts. Once on board with a mobility device, the operator will assist you in securing your mobility device. An IndyGo employee must secure all mobility devices before the bus departs. The ramps and lifts are designed to accommodate a common wheelchair as dened by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The device should measure no more than 30 inches wide by 48 inches deep. The weight of the device when occupied cannot exceed 600 pounds.
If you are boarding with a bike (all IndyGo buses are equipped with a two or three-unit bike rack) tell the driver youre loading your bike rst, then pull down on the rack handle to lower the bike rack, lift your bike onto the rack putting your wheels into the front and rear wheel labeled slots and lastly pull out the support arm and lift it over your front tire. When exiting, use the front door and tell the driver you need to unload your bike. Please return the rack to the folded position if its empty.

animal is dened as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. 49 CFR 37.3 IndyGo Supervisors or any responding Law Enforcement Agency may remove passengers for not adhering to IndyGo procedures or policies. Riding privileges may also be revoked.
IndyGo Rules
Passengers are not allowed to joyride or stay on the bus for multiple trips, you may only make one complete round trip. If you exit the bus, you may be asked to pay an additional fare or swipe your pass to re-enter. Passengers must refrain from disruptive behavior including talking loudly on cell phones, shouting profanity or rude insults, solicitation of services or favors, threatening or hostile remarks and listening to loud music with or without earphones. Throwing objects from the bus, sticking anything out of the bus windows or leaving anything on the bus when you depart is strictly prohibited. Passengers must wear a shirt and shoes to be allowed on board. Strollers must be empty and collapsed before boarding the bus. Rollerblades and skates must be removed and carried onto the bus. The following items are not permitted on IndyGo buses: Explosives, Knives (Cutting tools required for work are permitted), Car Batteries, Compressed Gas Bottles and Fuel Storage Containers. Smoking is prohibited in IndyGo bus shelters and on buses. Food and drinks are not allowed on IndyGo buses unless they are sealed. Animals are only allowed on an IndyGo bus if they are in a leak-proof carrier or are service animals. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, a service
All IndyGo Professional Coach Operators possess a Commercial Drivers License, call out bus stops when the announcement system is not working, inform passengers of delays and detours, stop passengers from breaking IndyGo rules, stop at all railroad tracks, report farebox and maintenance issues to IndyGo for follow-up and instruct passengers of proper protocols in the event of an emergency.
Safety
All IndyGo vehicles are equipped with audio and video surveillance equipment. IndyGo also contracts full-time, dedicated police ofcers to help ensure the safety of all passengers.
IndyGo assumes no responsibility for items that are left on board. When items are found, they are typically available the next business day at the IndyGo Retail Center, located at 34 N. Delaware. Customer Service does not contact bus operators regarding lost items; you must wait for them to be taken to the Retail Center. To claim your property, you must appear in person between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., provide an accurate

description of the item, show your photo ID and sign a property claim tag with your name, address and phone number. Found items will not be held indenitely. Please visit the Retail Center within a week of losing your item.

Your comment will be entered into a database and investigated by the appropriate IndyGo department. For all comments, if a response is requested, staff will follow up within 10 business days. IndyGo is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in or denied the benets of its services on the basis of race, color national origin, age, sex or disability/handicap as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. If you believe that you have been denied services based on any protected status, please contact Customer Service and your comment will be entered into a database and investigated. The following services are available within 10 business days of request: Braille information, bus route cards for the visually impaired, interpreters for public meetings, including American Sign Language and non-English speaking, print materials in Spanish, audio transcribing and travel trainings (for groups of 15 or more).

Children age 5 and under ride for free with paying passenger (limit two). IndyGo offers half fare pricing to persons 65 and older, youth 18 and younger and persons with disabilities. In order to ride IndyGo using a half fare pass or to pay half fare on-board, individuals must show a valid form of ID to prove eligibility: IndyGo Half Fare ID Card (cost is $2 and an application must be completed and submitted at the Customer Service Retail Center), K-12 Student ID, or government-issued Medicare Card.
27 of IndyGos 31 fixed routes converge in the downtown area on The Loop Ohio Street to Capitol Avenue to Maryland Street to Delaware Street. Ohio Street at Meridian Street is the main hub for transfers. Almost all downtown attractions are walkable from the The Loop.
