Remembering what Our Mighty Lord has done this past year compels our hearts to rejoice in the great and living hope we have in Jesus. This year was certainly memorable for our first PCM Choir coming to America. Our children got to smile, share, and sing with thousands of us. God has been so faithful to PCM this year and we hope you will enjoy looking through this annual report that testifies what Jesus has done. Thank you for the gift you are to this ministry. HOPE IS RISING!!! Can you hear it? You can hear it. Children laughing, children playing, children singing, Can you see it? You can see it. Hands reaching, knees bowing, hearts rejoicing Can you taste it? You can taste it. Tears of joy, A banquet of love Served by the King of Kings. How great is our Hope! PRAISING HIM NOW & FOREVER! With much love, Epa and Kiconco
WAs iT A DreAM? As we look at the shining faces that blessed people all over Texas back in April and May it is hard to believe that they were actually here. These same children whom we met five years ago barely surviving without clean water, food, or beds were actually in our churches, staying in our homes, and laughing with our children. How could God allow us such a privilege? Our first PCM Uganda Childrens Choir came to Texas for the month of April and first part of May with a beautiful message. It is the message of Isaiah 61, which is our ministry theme verse. God has given us a beautiful exchange. The Spirit of the Lord anointed these children to bring the Good News to the hurting people of Texas. As we looked out at the crowds of people pouring in to see the children and the joy that radiates from them, we prayed for God to bring healing to the hurting people in our communities. We did not realize it at first, but WE were the hurting people. God sent His precious children to minister to us! And because of these children our lives have been forever changed!

There are some special people on two different sides of the world whom God has brought together for a mutually edifying relationship. The relationship between a sponsor and a family is so much more than a friendship but not quite adoption (although some children may call you mom or dad). It is an opportunity to give a small piece of yourself to help a child who may have otherwise been forgotten to realize his God-given potential to impact the world. However, it is also a reminder of how much they do with so little while we sometimes choose to do so little with so much. God is using these sponsorship relationships to shape us and our sponsored children into people more closely resembling Him. Leading into 2013, we had been blessed with over 500 families sponsoring 750 children. This was a very exciting progression, but we were blown away by the response of many new families during the choir tour. In less than a month we sponsored 130 children! Now as we head into 2014, we are hoping to sponsor our one thousandth child. Thank you for allowing God to use you to be a blessing in the life of one of His precious children.

This past January, a group of men from Michigan got together to raise awareness and support for a special need: Cafe for Katyazo. We are grateful for the live auction that this PCM Team 27 conducted raising nearly $40,000. This new open air cafetorium will allow our children to sit down in a dining hall for all their meals during the day, plus serve as a worship center to Jesus in the evenings and on weekends. Way to go PCM 27 also for washing the feet and putting a brand new pair of shoes on the feet of every single PCM Uganda employee and holding our first PCM Christian business conference. Webale Yesu for the work you have done.
Girls conference
The first all girls team held the first all girls conference at Katyazo. Over 100 students from P5P7 at Mbarara and the secondary classes from Katyazo came together to learn a biblical view on Confidence, Character and Courage. Through the studying of scripture, plays, small groups and recreation, we hoped to encourage these young ladies to stand firmly in their identities in Christ so that they could face the challenges of this world with confidence and courage.
Shoe project
OperATion UBunToniA In June, 20 muzungus received the blessing of a lifetime! A project that began as a partnership with Childrens Emergency Relief International (CERI) came to fruition when the team placed socks and shoes on the feet of 1,558 children at six different schools. The outpouring of love between the team members and the children was so rich and tangible as we saw the eyes of over 1, 000 of the children light up with pride because of their first pair of shoes. What a humble blessing to be a part of that moment over and over again.
WhAT Does iT MeAn To Be seLF-susTAining? A big lesson we have learned from our family in Uganda is that there is no such thing as being self-sustaining. If anything, that is a word that Americans have made up to pretend that they dont need anything from anyone. The Ugandans have shown us how to truly rely on our Heavenly Father as the giver of all good things. In light of that reality, our goal as PCM USA is for our Ugandan family to rely on us less and be able to use their Godgiven talents and resources to provide for their communities. This year we have taken a giant leap forward in this effort. With the addition of 85 acres of farmland and a new tractor, PCM now has the resources to grow more of our own food for our schools, keep cattle to provide milk and protein for the children, and employ many Ugandan farmers to provide for their own families. Overall PCM now has over 100 acres of land for growing food and maintaining our PCM animals consisting of cows, goats, chickens, pigs and fish. We also have a fully functioning food distribution center called By His Grace that helps us buy the food we need but are unable to grow at wholesale prices.
WATER WELLS
Over the past five years we have had over 300 Muzungus step out in faith, take a couple of flights, and enter into another world where the needs are many, but Christ is Lord over all. One sight that sticks out in all of our minds is the view down the hill behind Mbarara of the muddy Rwizi river. The same water that we would never dare allow our children to bathe in, much less drink, was the main source of nourishment for our Ugandan children. With stories and memories of disease and death fresh in our minds, this year we have taken a giant step to providing clean, safe water to many of our children and their families. Partnering with Living Water International, you helped us drill five new wells to change the lives of entire communities! Our children understand the refreshing love of Jesus as our living water.
KATE Clinic
It is difficult to visit Uganda and not have your heart broken by the obvious effects of not having adequate medical care. Since our first trip down these dusty but blessed roads, we have had a tremendous desire to help with the health needs of these children, but we knew that the first priority was providing clean water, nourishing food and an education. Finally, after five years of God meeting these basic needs from one school to the next, and thanks to many of you who have shared this passion, we have completed and opened our first medical clinic! The Kate Clinic is not an American run clinic but rather a Ugandan clinic, inspired by Ugandans, and run by Ugandans to meet the needs of their people. In just the few short months that it has been open we have seen God meet many needs both physically and spiritually. Our goal this next year is to complete a maternity wing, finish the pediatric Rose center, and develop the farm land around our clinic.
This past December, PCM entered a new world of hosting large pastors conferences that help equip pastors of not only in Uganda but also neighboring Rwanda, Tanzania, Burungi, and Kenya. Over 300 pastors came to the small town of Mbarara with the hope of being equipped to better lead their churches. This conference opened the floodgates to other pastors hungry for education and encouragement for their individual churches. In September, we offered two more pastors conferences; one in Mbarara and one in Kampala. We were overwhelmed with the response in both areas with 550 pastors registering in between the two cities and over 1,000 showing up! Despite our growth into new areas of ministry in Uganda, evangelism is still a main goal of PCM. This year PCM held crusades in various locations of Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and one near the Congo border for refugees. We are grateful for Jesus not only discipling the precious children at our schools, but also adding new believers to the Kingdom every day!
