The students ability to read on level and understand what they are reading is being assessed. H. Reflection& Thoughts: Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest to teach? The easiest part of the lesson to teach will be instructing the students to read out loud in their groups. Students have done this prior to the lesson and understand what to do. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the most challenging to teach? The most challenging part of the lesson to teach will be having the students summarize the story. Many students want to copy sentences from the text. Reviewing that they are just summarizing may prove to be a challenge. What lesson or concept should be taught prior to this lesson? Students should know the vocabulary terms in the text, and how to summarize a story prior to this lesson. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? I will follow up this lesson by having students create a story map of the story. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? If students do not grasp the concept I will work with him or her in a small group while the rest of the class is working independently. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change?
