MACHU PICCHU

Machu Picchu is a city that it is located at 130 km from Cusco in the cordillera central of the Andes. Machu Picchu was the lost city of the Incas. The discovery is attributed to an American Professor Hinram Bingham in 1911. Machu Picchu city was founded in the XV century by Pachacutec, who was the first Inca emperor. Machu Picchu could be populated between 300 and 1000 people; they were Incas and settlers from all over the empire who worked as farmers. During the times of Inca empire, the city was surrounded by a complex agricultural which they depended their feeding. During the spanish conquest, the Incas abandoned the city, it was rediscovery later in 1911. Today, Machu Picchu is a place visited for many people around the world, it is a great city for three reasons: the main street of the town is full of bars and restaurants, so many people visited it, the weather in Machu Picchu is generally hot and humid with temperatures that vary from 8c to 22c, and Finally it is a famous touristic place.

The first reason, the main street of the town is full of bars and restaurants, so many people visited it. If you want to travel to Machu Picchu you have to arrive to Cusco and take bus or train to get to Machu Picchu: The hotels offer international and local food their guests. when you are in Machu Picchu city you can find economic restaurants, Pizzerias and Peruvian restaurants, the typical food offered by the place is very delicious, for example: Timpo, Chuo Cola, Queso Kapche, Pepin de Cuy, Chicharrn con Camote, Huminta, Tamal, Saralawa, Adobo, Olluco con Carne. The price menus are normal and accessible to people who visit the place, also the most popular drink in Machu Picchu is Pisco Sour, and this is a cocktail made with Pisco and lemon juice. In the city there are also accommodation and 3 star hotels, it is very comfortable to rest.

The second reason, the weather in Machu Picchu is generally hot and humid with temperatures that vary from 8c to 22c. Machu Picchu weather is subtropical and has a height between 2000 and 6300 meters above sea level. The climate has variability, between 8C and 22C; this weather is very nice for people. They can visit the ruins in good weather. The wet season in Machu Picchu is from December to March, these months are not suitable for visitors, and because the rain is constant to daily this is a problem to visit the wonderful buildings of Machu Picchu. After you can visit in the rest of the year because the climate condition is stable.

The third reason, it is a famous touristic place. The city of Machu Picchu has several building and ruins that are attractive for people, the ruins can be visited from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. this time you can enjoy the wonderful of the city. If you go to the ruins at 6 a.m. you can see the new dawn city without anyone walking between the buildings. The ruins are well maintained and every day the workers are in charged in the cleaning, this allows taking photo in a good condition. The buildings in the city are divided architecturally: Plaza Sagrada, Intihuatana, Piedra Sagrada, Templo Del Sol, Zona Del Condor. All these buildings are really fantastic.

In conclusion, the city of Machu Picchu is very nice, it has old buildings that were made by the Incas, and the construction of Machu Picchu is very mysterious. Machu Picchu is one of the new wonders of the world. If you want to go to Machu Picchu, you must travel to Per and then arrive to Cuzco, there are three ways to get there by: train, bus and helicopter. It is an amazing place.
