City of Petersburg Community Corrections Probation Officer

Petersburg, Virginia April 2013 July 2013

Monitored individuals placed on Local Probation through the City of Petersburg and County of Dinwiddie General District Courts. Compiled data for monthly reports for cases coming from other localities. Conducted urine drug screens on clients to insure that they were in compliance with the conditions of probation and court orders. Conducted screenings that determined which programs were best suited to meet the individual needs of the client. Wrote letters to the court and other agencies to update the clients compliance or noncompliance while on supervision. Tracking and monitoring drug treatment participants to ensure compliance with Drug Court Regulations. Identifying and Coordinating Housing in environment that are lease likely to cause relapse. Performing criminal background checks on individuals interested in entering the program. Imposing sanctions on individuals violating rules of the program in accordance with guidelines set by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
