PSL*andthe"Investmentsforthe Future"programme
Withinthe"InvestmentsfortheFuture"programme,21.9billionare tobeallocatedtohighereducationandresearchprojects.PSL*was constitutedasawaytopoolforcesandreapbenefitsfromthis programme,soastopromoteitsexcellencescienceandtraining tradition.PSL*hasansweredalmostalltendersorganizedbythe ParisDauphineUniversity FrenchMinistryforHigherEducationandResearch,notably:the Excellencelaboratories(Labex),theExcellencefacilities(Equipex), theCarnotinstitutes,theResearch&TechnologyInstitutes(RTI)andtheVehiclesforTechnologicalTransfer Acceleration(VTTA).Theresultsofthesetendersareannouncedfollowingdifferentschedulessincetheend ofJanuary2011.

Excellencefacilities(Equipex)
OnJanuary20,2011,theFrenchministerforHigherEducationandResearch,ValriePcresse,unveiledthe selectedEquipexprojects.The52laureateshadbeenselectedbyaninternationalcommittee,under chairmanshipoftheCanadianPhilippeLePrestre.TheEquipexgrantsareintentedtofundcapitalintensive facilitiesforadvancedscientificresearch,inallacademicfields.TheoverallallotmentfortheEquipexisof 340million,ofwhich260immediatelyusableand80milliontemporarilyblockedasanendowment.[2] Theselectedprojectswillbeawardedbetween2and10millioneuros. PSL*institutionshaveobtained7ofthe10Equipextheyhadappliedfor.Theyrepresentallacademicfields, fromhumanitiestolifesciencesandphysics.Mostofthetime,scientistsbelongingtononPSL*institutions havebeenassociatedtotheseprojects.Conversely,PSL*scientistsmayuseEquipexfacilitiessupportedby otherinstitutions.[3]ForPSL*,theselectedprojectsare: DFIH(DatabaseFinancialmarketsinHistory).
