The Maliheh Free Clinic The Maliheh Free Clinic was established in 2005 as a healthcare organization that provides free medical services for Utahs uninsured and low -income families. The clinic was named in honor of Maliheh Abdollahi, grandmother of clinic benefactor Mr. Khosrow Semnani. Maliheh served selflessly to lighten the burdens of others and the clinic stands as a tribute to her. Because medical insurance can be expensive many families do not receive the medical care they need. The Maliheh Free Clinic offers quality healthcare to those who have no other options. Donations are the primary source of money that keeps the clinic in operation. We are confident that our patient stories will provide another fundraising tool to make healthcare more accessible for the underprivileged. Nature of Clinic Needs Due to financial circumstances many healthcare services are sought after symptoms of illness have reached profound levels. We understand that services provided at the Maliheh Free Clinic are not supported by any federal or state grants. This means that medical care can be administered under the direction and time standards of clinic physicians. However, treatment at later stages can be costly and without money supplies can be limited. Supporters have often inquired of patient experiences prior to donations. The increase in success stories has inspired the clinic to implement patient interviews to further benefit fundraising capabilities. In order to boost funding the clinic needs volunteers to record and archive patient stories. Our Purpose The objective of our visits will be to inquire of patient experiences that are later evaluated and utilized by the Maliheh Free Clinic. By conducting interviews with clinic patients we will provide an additional resource for fundraising purposes. Designated time and materials have been established to complete our objective within thea four week time window prior to any major fundraising events. We propose that our writing services will be an effective means to manage and archive patient stories. It is our goal to aid the clinic Maliheh Free Clinic in reversing the cycle of poor health due to poverty by providing clinic supporters with patient stories.
