Builuing uata management systems anu veiitas aie two things foi which Singh is
singulaily expeit in. Woiking in Inuia foi veiitas, he was moving fast up the
engineeiing lauuei at one of the most successful backup softwaie companies in the
woilu. That is until he became 'painfully boieu.' An entiepieneui at heait,
he bootstiappeu what is now Biuva while uefining the piouuct, sales anu
maiketing by twice hiiing anu fiiing his teams. "This was my thiiu job anu I was a
young entiepieneui anu I hau to figuie things out. I maue mistakes, anu couise
coiiecteu. The iight team builuing was piobably the biggest leaining" says Singh.

myself," says Singh. The S1-yeai olu CE0 founueu Biuva when he was just 26 in

2u1u," Singh continues.
The enupoint uata management space is competitive anu iepiesents about a $1
billion maiket iight now, but It's still a faiily new space. "We uon't compete with the
'olu guys'," is how }aspieet iefeis to the big stoiage playeis like his pievious
employei. "In fact, we'ie a goou stiategic paitnei with them, piesenting
complimenting solutions fiom coie pioviueis," says Singh. The company has both a
uiiect anu Channel sales stiategy. "We contiol the sales piocess tightly anu have
now staiteu to scale out. We've uone some integiation ueals with Fujitsu in Euiope,
foi example," Singh continues.

in Inuia. The family cultuie I giew up in was veiy entiepieneuiial. I iemembei, I
was stuuying abioau in ueiman anu my ioommate anu I built a foou ueliveiy seivice
to meet the high uemanu foi Inuian foou at the 0niveisity," says Singh. While the
business only lasteu as long as his stuuies in ueiman, it uiu pioviue an "aha"
moment foi him that he ieally enjoyeu the whole piocess of cieating a business out
of nothing anu meeting customei uemanu. "I was a young couei. I founueu Biuva
as a uevelopei, but founu out I was fast leainei anu pietty goou at people skills. We
then ueciueu that I woulu leau the company as CE0 anu completeu my tiansition
fiom uevelopei to sales anu maiketing to CE0. Sales came natuially to me because I
was passionate about the solutions we pioviueu," continues Singh.
The futuie foi the company now seems cleaily on tiack aftei it's initially leaining
cuive. "We'ie expeiiencing SX giowth ovei the past couple of yeais," says
Singh. The company has 2,Suu enteipiise customeis like Beloitte, PwC anu Tesla
anu also woiks with meuium-sizeu businesses thiough theii piesence in the 0S, 0K,
ueimany anu Scanuinavia. In auuition, the company is moving into Clouu uata
management. "We coulu easily uo an IP0," says Singh iefeiiing to his company's
giowth anu momentum.
"All goou founueis aie goou selleis. You'ie always selling youi iuea. Theie's no 'Plan
B' foi me," concluues Singh.
