What is it: Csv2vcard is a program to convert files in the csv format (as exported by many databases and windows

apps) to the industry standard vcard, which can be imported by most applications that handle contact information. Csv2vcard is optimized for producing vcard files that a parsable for ximian evolution, but other apps should also be able to parse most of the files generated by csv2vcard if they are correctly implemented. How to use it: Load csv2vcard.html into your web-browser. Paste your CSV into the respective fi eld in the browser and click "Next". Assign fields from your CSV file to standar d vcard fields by clicking on the respective labels. Click transform when your r eady. Copy the vcards from the browser and paste them to a new file. Using the ruby script: Csv2vcard is very talkative. If you start it with commandline options, it'll run non interactively - try the --help option for more about that. If you run it without arguments, it'll try to launch the gui. If all requirements are met (see above) it'll lead you through the translation procedure.
