    The real estate market in Livingston Parish saw an increase in new listings, closed sales, and median sales price in December 2013 compared to the previous year. New listings rose 18.3% and closed sales increased 30%. The median sales price was $159,450, an 11.8% rise from December 2012. Inventory levels and months of supply both decreased slightly from the prior year. Through the end of 2013, new listings and closed sales were up 14.7% and 18.5% respectively from the same period in 2012, while the median sales price increased 5.2% and days on market fell 11.9%.
