(877) 545-0070 Lodging: Holiday Inn Express Laurel, MD (301) 206-2600 Airline: Southwest Airlines (800) 433-5368 **Group will travel as one unit on the same flights in both directions MEET in the HIGH SCHOOL LOBBY by 3:30 A.M. for a group departure to Omaha IF you are meeting the group at the airportbe at Eppley by 4:00 A.M. Flying out of Omaha on Friday, March 21 at 5:50 A.M. (Flight 185/947) St. Louis Stop ARRIVAL in D.C. at 11:35 A.M. **Be ready to gono hotel until evening! Flying out of DCA on Monday, March 24 at 6:45 P.M. (Flight 1194/391) St. Louis Stop ARRIVAL in OMAHA at 10:55 P.M. **Get up and get to school on Tuesday! Chaperones will consist of 6 Adults (Staff Members at Tri-Center) Students: Please get your schoolwork done ahead of time in all classesunless otherwise indicated by your teacher. If you are in poor shape academically (failing grades or work not turned in) then you shouldnt be going on a trip that takes you out of school for two days. Take responsibility for your work and grades now and maintain them before and after D.C. Should your behavior become a serious problem before the tripyoull forfeit the money and you wont go. Should your behavior become a problem while on the trip, you will be dealt with accordingly while on the trip and when we get back.

TRAVEL NOTES: You must have an I.D. with you at all times (drivers license) Wear and/or bring comfortable shoes (BIG walkabout ) Bring gum on the flightit saves the eardrums Aspirin, first aid, toiletries, etc. Make sure any liquids/gels are in one quart-sized plastic bags (containers must be 3 ounces or less) if you carry them onget this done Bring formal wear for Arlington Cemetery: LadiesSkirt, dress, or slacks and blouse, polo, or sweater. GentlemenDress shirt/Polo shirt, sweater, khakis/dress pants and shoes. (remember the belt and please no tennis shoes) LUGGAGE--Limited to ONE carryon bag and ONE big suitcase per person. The BIG suitcase will need to be 50 lbs. or less The carryon bag needs to be able to fit in the overhead compartment Money for spending (dont put it all in the same place) Breakfast is provided each morning at the hotel. Students will have to purchase their own lunch each day. Dinner meals are provided in the package. Small purses and fanny packs--backpacks Cameras/Cell Phones/Headphones/Your responsibility to keep track of these ALL clothes must be in good shape (jeans, sweatshirts, shoes, jackets, etc.) No holes, rips, or sloppy looking attire will be allowed Plan for sharing some items in your rooms (hairdryers, curling irons, etc.) Munchies (if you have room pack some--they will be cheaper here) Traveling clothes should be comfortable--but nicewe wont get to hotel until the P.M. on the first day so prepare accordingly Put an extra set of clothes in carryon bag in case big suitcase gets lost!!! Pack for layered weather---hot to cool and vice versawatch the weather

OUT: Flight 185/947 5:50 A.M. Leave Omaha and Arrive DCA at 11:35 A.M. (Change planes in St. Louis) 6:45 P.M. Leave DCA and Arrive Omaha at 10:55 P.M. (Change Planes in St. Louis)

BACK: Flight 1194/391

**IF you are being picked up in OMAHA upon our returnplease let chaperones know. EVERYONE will need to check in at the Flight Counter to get a boarding pass. You will check your luggage here. It will cost you NOTHING to check a bag at both ends. You can carry on ONE piece of luggage that will stow overhead or under your seat and another small bag/purse. **DO NOT LOSE YOUR BOARDING PASS**

Two sponsors will take 20 students at a time to get through the check in counter and security gate once baggage has been checked in. Once you have cleared the security gate, go to GATE assigned to our FLIGHT and wait. COLORED BAG TAGS from Brightspark Tours must be on your bags and BAG TAGS from Airline tags will also be on anything that is checked. All bags must have I.D. tags. Those who have flown need to HELP those who have not--be patient and please understand that we have only so much time to get boarded. Stay together and do not go solo anywhere during the time we are on the trip. Always move with the entire group when possible and in other situations stay in groups of no less than 3 people. Dont underestimate the possibilities of a new or strange environment. Washington, D.C. is not Council Bluffs/Omaha or Des Moines. Who is meeting the group at the airport on Friday morning and who is being picked up at the airport Monday night? Please let Mr. Nanninga know by Friday, March 7th.
