he essence of the behaviourist approach is that all behaviour is learned. The reason you tend to be aggressive or loving or interested in football or good at exams or suffer from a mental disorder can all be explained in terms of the experiences you have had, as opposed to any inherited dispositions. Behaviourists believe that we are born as a blank slate. They also believe that behaviour is all that should concern psychologists there is no need to search for the mind or analyse thoughts and feelings.
