The continuous search for the perfect balance in design is represented by a white square, encapsulating ideas and themes behind each of our projects. The industrial background and the white space contradict, yet are harmonious. The paradox behind the perfect white square in its purity represents the ideal design in furniture and products.

History

A collaboration between father and son brings together a design synergy of past and present. Accupunto takes an ancient method of acupuncture and transforms it into living furniture. Its Ergonic series have received numerous international awards and publications. Ergonic utilizes an international patented system that forms the contour of the users. Innovation and development have always been the core beliefs of the company and it has carried the brand through its venture in introducing new and original products from Asia.

YOS S. THEOSABRATA

Yos started the furniture business 30 years ago and is currently the president of several furniture, exhibition contracting, and event organizing companies. He is also the president of the Indonesian Furniture Club.
LEONARD THEOSABRATA

Leonard graduated from the Product Design Faculty at the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA in 2002. His love for furniture has led him to build the Accupunto brand. Currently, he is the head of LTD studio, which focuses on interior and product design for clients such as TOTO, Aida, and Chamdani. Awards - Interior Innovation Award 2004 German Design Council for Category Best of the Best for Best Details - Good Design Award from Japan - Red Dot Design Award 2003 - Indonesia Good Design Award 2003 Grand Award winner

Design Concept

Styling can derive from different sources. In Accupuntos Ergonic series, it comes from pure functionwhere the frame is designed to support cushions structure. We do not hide it with a complex frame design. Even the aesthetics come from ergonomic practices. We try to carry through this same design principle in all of our products to seek the perfect white square balance.

We met through a mutual friend and right away I noticed his creative energy which I felt could complement my passion in design. We met in Bali, and over our chat, our mutual passion for design was immediately obvious. I like his spirit and business acumen. He has a thorough understanding of the production process in Asia, which is a place I love and am familiar with, and they know how to package my new works. I am honored to be involved in the growth of such a fresh and promising company.

We have felt the need to expand our brand for quite some time. To work with Michael Young in an effort to realize this vision is a bold yet obvious step. He knows what it is like to work in Asia, and he understands our work mentality, and thats very important. Its the friendship that has developed during the process that will sustain our progress.
