VERBAL/LINGUISTIC

a) Create a poem about the events of the story or the main character. b) Present a one-two minute speech to the class detailing the plot and themes in the novel. You must also recommend the novel to 2 3 students in the class giving reasons supporting your argument. c) Rewrite the ending of the story, giving it a different outcome.

LOGICAL/MATHEMATICAL
a) Create a timeline that describes the important events in the story. b) Create a pie graph of the main characters emotions throughout the novel. Annotate your graph with one example or quote for each section. c) Create a quiz so that others may find out which character from the novel they are most like. Test it out on at least 5 of your classmates.

VISUAL/SPATIAL
a) Draw your favourite character from the novel. Around your picture, add words, phrases and quotes from that describe them and their personality. b) Create a Venn Diagram contrasting yourself with the main character of the novel. c) Create a piece of artwork that depicts a scene from the novel. This may be in any 2D medium and up to A3 in size.

MUSICAL/RHYTHMIC
a) Write a rap or song that tells your favourite part of the story. You may either record it or give a live presentation to the class. b) What are the main themes in your novel? e.g. love, friendship, forgiveness. Choose one of these and find a song that reflects this in its lyrics. Print off the lyrics and share your choice and reasons with the class. c) Summarise the novel in one page or less. Then create a sound story to accompany it as you present to the class.

INTRAPERSONAL
a) Imagine that you are the main character in the novel. Write at least 5 diary entries detailing some of the main events, and how you feel about them. b) Write a description detailing how the story would be different if it were told from a different characters point of view. c) Research three other novels written by the same author. Write a paragraph about the book you would most like to read next, giving reasons based on plot, genre and authors style.

a) Write the script for and record a TV commercial for your novel. Be sure to include events and characters that would entice others to read it. b) Learn everything you can about your favourite character from the novel. Make notes about this in your book. Then volunteer yourself for the Hot Seat at the next Sharing Our Reading session. c) Bookmark your three favourite passages in the story. Share them with the class.

INTERPERSONAL

a) Using recycled objects, create a 3D scene from your novel. Tell about why the scene is important either orally or in written form. b) Design a charity that the main character from the novel would patronise. Give its name, its mission statement, where in the world it works, and what people can do to support it. Go beyond the obvious: Give us your money! c) Create a holiday for the main character that focuses on green practices and responsible tourism.

NATURALIST

a) Create a dramatisation of one scene from your book. b) Design a freeze-frame of a key scene in the novel. Organise costumes and props and gather some of your classmates to create and photograph it. When you print the picture, write a brief caption or make speech bubbles/thought clouds to accompany it. c) Make a diorama of the scene that in your opinion is the most important in your novel.
