Procedure/Flow

The purpose of this document is to define the process flow and the drive test procedures to be followed by Huawei DT and RF engineers to verify the functionality of the new sites in the rollout of Warids GS networ!" #loc! diagram of the steps to be followed on Drive Test $rocess is shown in Figure %"

Drive Test Preparation (General) Some preparation activities must be initially performed in order to set up the testing equipment. This step will prepare the test equipment and set the software and hardware details for the measurements. See the attachment How to connect/setup equipment

Drive Test Procedure

This step will perform the actual drive test defined for the site under test" 0ach drive test must be clearly documented" 1ll test calls should be terminated to Warid *etwor! test number provided for that purpose" MS1: configured to run on dedicated mode "Short call with duration of 22222"" Secs dialed "+n case of any bloc!3 dropped or time out dial immediately new call" MS2: configured to run on idle mode throughout the drive test #efore starting the drive tests the drive test engineer should contact the 4 ,-*4,-#S, shift engineer to ma!e sure the site is alarm and H-W or S-W problem free" 4nce the drive test team is on the site and before starting the measurements they should coordinate with the 4 , shift engineer and the DT coordinator to deactivate the ,ell #arring" a!e a call test in all / sectors immediately on reaching Site (22calls in each sector") Record this test also During the drive tests the engineer should ensure that there are no swapped (crossed) sectors problems3 all neighbors declared are present and all RF fre'uencies given are correct" During the drive tests the DT engineer should note all ma5or events (drop calls3 bloc!ed calls3 handover failures) and shall identify their main causes" 6pon completion of the DT activity the DT engineer should verify that all log files are not corrupted" +n case of any log file problems the DT team should repeat the test immediately" 1fter successful drive test3 inform the DT coordinator (RF-#SS-4 , 0ngineer) to #loc! the site" ,ar speed should not be more than 789mph in Rural areas" ,ar speed should not be more than :89mph in Dense urban-urban area" *o e;ternal antenna should be used for the test"
