A young girl in her teens said:
“My father and mother live
separately; I do not know why
they have separated. I live with
my mother and my father lives
alone. I am fond of my father and
meet him sometimes and wish
that he could stay with us. I am
looking for a job and carry on
with my life. I also have a
boyfriend who says that he is in
love with me. But what disturbs
me most is that he has eyes for
others girls as well and tells them
that he is interested in them.
Once, one of my close friends told
me that my boyfriend had sent her
a message on her mobile phone
asking her to accompany him to
a holiday resort to spend a couple
of days with him. This made me
furious and I asked my
boyfriend’s mother about this
matter. She told me that most men
were like that. What should I do?
Can you give me some advice?
We are glad you decided to
share your problem with us.
It is indeed sad that your
parents have separated and you
stay with your mother. It is also
sad that your dad has to stay
separately, all by himself. Have
you ever wondered why they
separated? It would be a good
idea to ask your mother the reason
for this separation.
You may also ask your father
why he is living away from you
and your mother, when you meet
him the next time. When your
mum and dad give you their
answers for the reason of their
separation, it will give you a clue
of your own well-being and your
future.
Your boyfriend says he loves
you and yet has eyes for other
girls. It looks like he is quite a
lady’s man. He has also asked
your close friend to a resort. Be
very careful in all your dealings
with him as his mother too has
told you what to expect.

relationships and take full
advantage of each and every
situation and put the lives of these
girls into trouble and misery.
Your boyfriend sending a
message to your close friend
should serve as an eye opener to
what he is capable of. The first
step you need to take is to break-
off all ties with him and tell him
that you will not meet him again.
Continuing this friendship could
spell further trouble for you.

as a mature and strong person to
be able to stand on your own.
Then, you may make friends with
whom you can take wise
decisions together. At that point
in life you may not be helpless,
or taken for a ride.
These are a few steps that you
need to take:
1) Make Jesus your best
friend and invite Him into your
heart and make Him your
heavenly Father.
2) Read the WORD every
day. A chapter of Proverbs will
give you wisdom. Read the
Gospels and draw strength.
3) Ask Jesus for wisdom
and direction in your day-to-day
life (James 1:5 and Proverbs 3:5-
6).
4) “Commit your works to
the Lord, and your thoughts will
be established”. (Proverbs 16:3).
5) Get a good job and do
your work as unto the Lord.
Money answers all things
(Ecclesiastes 10:19).
6) Pray for your parents to
reunite.
7) Wait on the Lord.
You need to share your
decisions with your parents,
pastor, elders and friends; as in a
multitude of counselors there is
safety (Proverbs 11:14). Do not
rush into any friendship with any
boy.
Pray for a steady life-partner.
Ask Jesus for the person He has
planned for you from the
foundations of the world.
When you meet him, you will
know that he is the prince-
charming, you have been waiting
for!

I rejoice at Your word as one
who finds great treasure. Psalm
119:162.
Imagine this hypothetical
situation: You are asked to sift
several tons of sand from one pile
to another, by spooning it through
a hand-held strainer. Without a
doubt you would consider that
kind of a task to be futile and
boring. However, what if you
were told that while doing this
you were guaranteed to find a
gold nugget every hour, and as
you continued sifting through the
pile you would begin finding
them every minute. In addition,
whatever treasure you found
would be yours to keep. No
longer would the task seem futile
or boring. The pile of sand would
take on a whole new meaning to
you because of the value that was
hidden within. The same analogy
can be made of Bible study. With
very little effort, great riches are
ours to discover and keep, as we
carefully sift through the Word of
God each day. With access to
such great spiritual treasure, we
can relate to the words the
psalmist wrote in Psalm 119:162.

Pray for our country today. Pray for
the missions that you know working
among people who have not heard
of Jesus Christ. Pray that His name
will be proclaimed in north, south,
east and west.
Oct 3: Pray for the leaders who
rule the nation. Apostle Paul makes
a case for praying for kings and all
those who are in authority in 1
Timothy 2:2. The reason is twofold:

country. Parched agricultural
grounds, reports of suicides among
farmers, proposed 30% cut in water
supply to Mumbaikars and other
woes have risen due to shortage of
water in India. Pray God will supply
all our needs.

of our God through Ephesians 5:22-
33 concerning marriage is followed
in every Christian home. Let
believing Christian couples (not film
stars or sportspersons) be the role
models for their children. Pray that
Christian couples impact their
children’s lives positively and are
able to point to the Lord Jesus.
Oct 7: Pray for your pastor. That
God will give him more grace (James
4:6), spiritual revelation through the
Holy Spirit (John 14:26), anointing
(Isaiah 10:27) and holiness (1 Peter
1:15,16).
Oct 8: Pray for the unsaved family
members. Remember every family
has a few of them. God wants them
to be saved, too. Pray to God that like
Joshua we are able to say: ‘But as
for me and my house, we will serve
the Lord.’ Joshua 24:15.
Oct 9: Pray for the FMPB

today. God has been faithful to this
ministry in the past 50 years since
they started. Pray that through them
several hundreds will continue to be
met with the Gospel every day in this
nation.

time and skills for the various
ministries available with us. Pray that
God opens new doors for us in the
areas of village ministry, medical

blood. Claim the promise found in
Deuteronomy 28:6 – ‘Blessed shall

such as chain snatching and robbery.
Pray that these youth are gainfully
employed. Pray for mission agencies
that work among rag pickers,
unemployed youth, and destitute
women.

Christian counselors today. They
have released a new book on
counseling, titled Counsel for Crisis
Times. Pray that this book not only
counsels its readers but also shows
them the way to salvation.
Oct 16: The US reported a sharp
increase in the incidence of domestic
violence in recent months - and
recession is being blamed for
American families becoming more
violent. Recession has also hit the
agencies that fight domestic violence
as their funding has virtually dried
up. Pray that true believers will rise
up and face the challenge to show the
love of Jesus Christ to those hurting.

wife jailed for
baby’s death
A Christian homeopath and his
wife, both of Indian origin, were
jailed recently in Australia after
their untreated eczema-stricken
baby daughter died of neglect.
According to reports, Thomas
Sam, 42, and his wife Manju, 37,
were convicted in June of the
manslaughter of their nine-
month-old baby Gloria by failing
to seek proper medical treatment.
The couple were accused of
‘gross criminal negligence’ by
failing to get the treatment,
instead mainly relying on
homeopathic remedies.
Baby Gloria died in Sydney in
May 2002 from an infection her
body could not fight. She was
malnourished despite being
properly fed. Doctors inferred
that was because all nutrition had
gone into coping with her severe
eczema.

God did unusual miracles through
the hands of Paul. Diseases were
healed and evil spirits left the people
in an instant when Paul’s
handkerchiefs were put on their
bodies. He nurtured many church
leaders and his writings have deeper
revelations. God does not show
favoritism to anyone. Paul was used
in an unusual way because his
commitment was an unusual one. He
was in prison and stood at the
threshold of death several times.
Difficulties only caused him to
rejoice, sing and praise God; he never
grumbled. God richly compensated
him by using him in such a powerful

healing. Jesus prayed for the maimed
they were made whole. Their hands
grew and the fingers which did not
exist appeared in the hands. He is the
one who created you. He can recreate
absolutely any part of your body
today! Do not worry! No matter what
Jesus will heal you, restore you and
He will honor you.

children of God have no mind to
resist sin. Those who call on God’s
name indulge in all activities like
pornography, adultery etc. to satisfy
the lust of the flesh. Sin is pleasurable
for a season as the bible declares but
its consequences are drastic and
tragic. Generations come under curse
because of one sinful man. Sin is not
worth forsaking the joy of His
presence.

God’s compassion springs out of
His unfathomable love and mercy.
We never sought Him, He sought us!

thought about you. Jesus Christ died
for us while we were yet sinners and
enemies of God. It is His compassion
that prevented Him from dealing with
us according to our sins.
We are living in the period of grace
and mercy. He is soon coming as a
righteous judge; a judge without
partiality. No mercy or compassion
will be shown at the judgment seat.
Compassion is now, not during the
judgment.
Therefore REPENT TODAY!
Turn to Christ and you will not be
ashamed on the day of His judgment.

from the Lord is that he has not dealt
with us according to our iniquities.
Though we deserved punishment His
Love, mercy and compassion
prevented Him from dealing with us
according to our sins. The devil tricks
us into comparisons and
complaining. Stop comparing
yourself with others; stop
complaining and start praising Him
now! Your praise will bring your
miracles.

dying world. Man can have his way
with God through prayer! In life more
battles are won on knees than by any
other means. A praying person truly
has God in his stride!

connect with God in prayer. The
Spirit of praise and the Spirit of faith
are twins. It takes faith to praise God.
God dwells in the midst of the praises
of his people.
Praise is the cannon that blows
away the enemy who hinders the
answers to your prayers; praise paves
the way for your miracle. Therefore,
begin your prayer by praising Him
and end your prayer by praising Him
too.

Our heavenly Father instructs us,
corrects us and rebukes us because
we are His beloved children. He cares
for us and makes us a blessing for
multitudes. Don’t be discouraged,
His mercies are everlasting!

Grace is God’s favor bestowed on

underestimated grace yet it is more

conceived it to be. We were God’s
enemies because of our evil and
sinful nature within us. We were lost
and couldn’t save ourselves but He
chose to send His only Son Jesus
Christ to die on the cross in our stead
as a propitiation for the sins of
mankind. The love which He
displayed on the cross is
unfathomable, unending and
undying. Grace springs out of this
great love of God. You are precious
to Him. Trust him! He’ll never let you
down.

We are living in the last days,
satanic deception and influence has
corrupted minds everywhere. It is
extremely shameful that the devil has
managed to pitch his tent right in the
middle of several churches. He has
been welcomed and patronized by
those with selfish motives. The only
role model we have is our Lord Jesus
Christ and none else. Never have
another man as your benchmark. The
only sure thing that does not change
is God’s written word – the Bible.
Read it daily, meditate on it every
minute and obey it. Never deviate
from it. The Bible is your only
protection during these end times
when deception is rampant.

of the power of the Holy Spirit. The
world does not need more speakers
but more number of people who can
bring down God’s power of healing
and deliverance. Not everyone can
bring down God’s power; only those
who have submitted themselves to
God’s will, only those who have
overcome their flesh will succeed in
bringing down His power.

In our path of life, we face
unpleasant circumstances because of
jealous people; we walk through the
valley of tears many a time with no
one to comfort us. Joy is what we all
yearn for. We cry out to God for
deliverance. God does not replace
our sorrow with Joy but He
transforms our sorrow into joy.
Something precious is imparted to
you only in your brokenness. You are
not only comforted but you are
transformed to be a comforter. He
who has not walked the path of tears
cannot understand the pain and
agony of others. You are a chosen
vessel. Cheer up!

Jesus Christ repeatedly spoke to
His disciples about His death, burial
and resurrection. Sin was imputed on
Him; the sinless Lamb of God Jesus
Christ was crucified and died a
gruesome death on the cross. He was
buried and on the third day rose alive
again from the dead.
The women who went to the tomb
and saw the Lord Jesus Christ risen
and alive; reported to the disciples.
But Thomas refused to believe until
he saw the Lord and felt His wounds.
A little later risen Lord Jesus
appeared to them. Many of us like
Thomas follow Jesus but we do not
fully believe His words. Trust Jesus,
believe His words. You will be
blessed.
Prayer: Dear heavenly father, I
believe your words; cause me to see

Oct 29: We must obey God rather
than men. Acts 5:29
The devil is the enemy of mankind.
He hates each one of us. He is all out
to steal your joy; he seeks
opportunities to kill each one and
prowls to destroy every family. Many
families have fallen apart and
innocent children have become the
victims of separation. The devil
doesn’t make himself known. He will
use a trusted friend or a relative to
give his counsel and advice to destroy
the plan of God in your life. Beware
of the words of people. Be careful in
choosing your friends. Pour out your
heart to God in prayer and not to man.
Fleshly counsel will destroy you.
Prayer: Dear father in heaven,
give me the grace to discern the
source of words that reach my ears.
Help me to follow your Spirit and
glorify you. In Jesus name I pray.

Man did not evolve out of nothing;
man was created by God. Even the
sun, moon, stars and other celestial
bodies that seem to float endlessly
in outer space have a very, very
definite purpose attached by their
creator, the Almighty God. He had a
purpose in creating you and me.
Heaven is a real place; the abode of
God, His angels and saints. Hell is a
real place too, with a lake of fire
prepared for satan and those who
follow him. Whom will you follow?
Make a decision today!!

forgive me for living life my own
way, I decide to pursue your plan and
will for my life. Give me your grace

Samuel was dedicated by Hannah
in the temple serving the Lord. The
boy was alert to Eli’s voice and was
quick to obey the priest, Eli. The
Lord God almighty saw that Samuel
was faithful to Eli’s voice.
The Lord called Samuel by name
and spoke to him; The Lord
continued to groom Samuel and
made him one of the greatest
prophets in Israel.
Being faithful in small things
prepares you for bigger things.
People may fail to take notice of your
sincerity. But Lord will reward you
openly for your faithfulness. He will
entrust bigger responsibilities to your
care.
Prayer: Dear heavenly father,
Give me your grace to be faithful in
every little thing that I do and glorify
your precious name. In Jesus name I
