Different Renewable Resources Present on Earth

The backbone of our civilization is undoubtedly natural resources. It includes all living and non living things present on the Earth. Although, the continuous usage of all the resources have restricted the practice because of over consumption or other reasons that have impacted on our lifestyle. The natural resources have been further classified in some classes. Those are: Agricultural land, freshwater fisheries, minerals, renewable non-mineral energies, water resources and many more. These resources are used for personal usage, aesthetic recreation or scientific purposes. Some resources are infinite and some are named as finite resources which are easily getting diminished because of unsustainable nature. Mineral ore and fossil fuels are examples of non renewable resources which are generated from geological processes that take long decades for building more stock as artificially production is impossible. The rising prices of fuels, environment devastation and political concerns are alarmingly acknowledging us to bend towards renewable resources. Resources like solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy and hydro power are renewable resources which are explained below. 1. Solar energy: This energy is derived from sun because the sun is always in service of the Earth. It heats the Earth, oceans and land that enable daily human activity. Photovoltaic panels are used to convert light into energy that requires very less Power Plant Maintenance cost after its installation. Moreover it does not contribute to pollution and easily applies in various sectors like agriculture, transportation or daily chores like cooking, heating and others. 2. Wind energy: Windmills are used from many years for energy production as like solar energy because of non contribution to pollution. The wind is converted into electric energy by wind turbines that are implemented in large areas having great flowing wind around the areas. Nevertheless, it is great invention but it is a great threat for flying creatures as moving parts can be fatal for them. Wind energy is sustainable energy that can be implemented for mechanical power like water pumping, drainage or sails to propel ships. 3. Hydropower: It is also been used to generate energy since ages, that is known as hydroelectric power. The energy is generated from churning water with the help of massive generators like dams, run-of-the-river or pumped storage. It affects the marine life and the aquatic ecosystem that pose bad impact on environment. 4. Biomass: Plants and trees contribute in creating biomass. The residual plants from paper making, methane gas obtained from decomposition process and plants grown specifically as a source of energy combines to create biomass energy. It is used for lighting and cooking. Nowadays, there are some crops that are specifically cultivated for generating energy. 5. Geothermal energy: The earth has huge store of heated energy known as geothermal energy. It can be present in any form like hot spring, sun-heated crust of earth or steam reservoir. The professional power project is implemented to generate electricity like heat pumps. Other resources are tidal energy or wave power that is extracted from high tides and wave energy. The advantages are innumerable as these resources will never going to deplete, naturally replenished and provides long way for future generations.
