Infosys has a unique business model and a dynamic and robust nancial model, enabling Infosys to provide key technology solutions at globally competitive prices to its clients. One of the key strategies at Infosys is to become a Trusted Transformational Partner to its clients by winning large deals, nine of which have been won the previous quarter (Quarter ended Dec 31, 2007). Infosys has added 47 clients this quarter, 4 of which are from Fortune 500. From a service, geo and client perspective, Infosys is expanding and increasing the addressable market size through its new service lines, thereby increasing its brand recall across various segments of clients across various geographies. Scalability has always been a large part of Infosys agenda. We have set up a scalable recruitment and human resources management process which enables us to attract and retain high caliber employees. Currently we have around 88,600 employees working for Infosys worldwide and 31,000 employees were added this year. Infosys focus is also on non linear growth: New service lines such as a SAAS- based platform for social computing etc that have been brought into the market. During FY07, Infosys derived close to 91% of its revenue from the IT services with the balance being generated from BPO operations and software products. Region wise, about 98% of its revenue was generated from exports, with North Americas contributing 63%, Europe contributing 26% with the rest being generated from rest of the world regions. Top exporting countries of the company are the US, UK, Australia, Switzerland, Germany etc to mention a few. During FY07, Infosys registered a y-o-y growth of 46% in total income.
Recent Developments
In Nov 07, Infosys and Microsoft entered in strategic business alliance with increased focus on seamless collaboration. Infosys established a dedicated a 400 seats vendor offshore facility (VOF) and a Microsoft dynamics concept centre at Bangalore. The centre would initiate development of architecting and deploying business intelligence (BI) platform built on next generation Microsoft BI technologies for Microsoft to analyse and provide important feedback on customer interactions to product teams.
