Houston is one of Americas largest cities, but fortunately downtown is a fairly compact place. Its only about one mile both east and west and north and south. But when walking isnt the preferred mode of transportation, you have options.
One is Greenlink, a free bus service that circulates on a 2.5-mile loop that links Frank downtowns major venues. lin St. The buses run weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. every 7 to 10 minutes. Another option is the B-cycle bike-share program. With a swipe of a credit card, check out a bike from the George R. Brown Convention Center, City Hall and Market Square.
t.
Another choice is the Six in the City taxi program a flat $6 fee will take you anywhere downtown. Co

It has a number of restaurants and businesses, as you might expect from any thoroughfare so named, but perhaps its biggest virtue is the new rail system that runs down the middle. Known as METRORail, it offers fast connections to points south such as the Houston Frank lin St. Hermann Park, Miller Outdoor Theatre, Museum District, Texas Medical Center and Reliant Park.
