Forging new paths in cross-border traffic will require knowledge and mastery of Europes certification procedures. This applies to initial certification as well as to upgrades and retrofits. Thats why you should rely on a strong partner: Thanks to more than 25 multi-country certifications for the Eurosprinter and Eurorunner locomotives, successfully completed in 16 European countries, Siemens has a wealth of experience from which the Vectron now also benefits. Powerful variants for strictly AC, strictly DC, or for flexible multi-system applications support the use of four different voltage systems. Vectrons innovative and intelligent concept ensures current and future flexibility in European systems, and is designed for cost-effective ERTMS migration. Adding or removing train protection systems is not a problem with the right preliminary equipment package. While you benefit from simpler, faster certification procedures, Vectrons pioneering country package concept ensures low costs for future upgrades or retrofits for use on different European corridors. Retrofitted vehicles are quickly ready for new applications with minimal time and effort required for certification.
