Piccadily

Saturday 16/2/13 So I meet a friend of mine at Piccadily Circus at 9pm, this is Traveller; the reason hes called Traveller? Because hes simply been every here, half !ustrian and Indian, he spea"s #n$lish, Spanish and %erman fluently, Traveller is very appropriate& 'e $o to the institute to pay the small fee of () *ust before +,pm to $et a stamp at this place, before the prices $et hi"ed to (-) at ++pm *ust for entry, classic ridiculous club prices in .ondon& 'e stay there for a minute or so before leavin$, $rabbin$ a bottle of ine from a tescos and al"in$ around .eciester S/uare and Covent %arden 0 drin"in$ until its $one& 'e head into a pub *ust off Trafal$ar S/uare and stay there for t o drin"s, have a $ood chat and catch up, until e head bac" over the institute& 1n re2entry e *ump the /ueue ith our stamps, $o strai$ht in& Its rammed at this point, and its pretty unpleasant in the main room because of this, but luc"ily anyone hos been here "no s its split over about four levels& 'e head ri$ht to the top *ust to $et ad*usted to the environment and its a bit /uieter so e can actually tal", I order us a round too& 'e end up $ettin$ in a conversation ith some stran$ers, and this $uy is the spittin$ ima$e of 3rodo, e play on that for a bit, he lau$hs as his friends call him that too& Immediately after e have a $irl hos employed purely on her loo"s try to sell us shots, I see this as a mini arm up of tal"in$ to stran$ers and "eep the conversation $oin$ as lon$ as I can& To be fair she as pretty cool, she as happy to chat and not *ust sell shots and move on& The reason? I sa thin$s from her perspective shes used to drun" $uys leerin$ on her and their only interaction is buyin$ shots from her, it probably feels lonely and borin$, ho ever you *ust s"ip that crap and $ive her some real conversation; she as happy to obli$e in this case& So after our first and only drin" in this place 4the prices are mad5, Traveller and myself al" around a bit to find $irls e ant to approach& 6e tries a couple of direct to the point openers, to test their interest, probably alon$ the lines of 76ey I thin" youre hot8cute8adorable, I anted to come and meet you9 but they dont really lead any here& Approach/wing 1 So e al" around a bit Im leadin$ the ay and $o to turn around to tell Traveller here e should $o& But hes a fe yards bac" tal"in$ to a $irl, its t o of them so I immediately $o and in$, hich as fine because she as attractive and I probably ould have approached her any ay& 76ey, ho s it $oin$? Ill "eep you company hile youre friend tal"s to mine&9 7:ot bad& But shes married&9 7.et her have her fun for the minute, shell en*oy the attention&9

She obli$es but also "eepin$ a close eye on her friend, I even move into the path of her eyesi$ht to bloc" the vie as shes shorter than me, but she carries on loo"in$ past throu$hout the interaction& ;no in$ Im on limited time, and also treatin$ this as an approach arm up I escalate thin$s /uic"ly, I $et close, theres a lot of touchin$ involved, hands on side shoulders, leanin$ in, stron$ eye contact; I do all this in the first <, seconds& So e tal" for a fe minutes I discover shes on holiday ith her friend, and it as the friend that dra$$ed them out that ni$ht& I tease her hilst escalatin$ thin$s and she reciprocatin$ e=actly the same ay& So thin$s are $oin$ really /uic" ri$ht no and a "iss is the ne=t natural pro$ression, and the feelin$s are definitely mutual, as there as so much se=ual tension bet een us& But then it all brea"s do n as /uic" as it escalated, she *umps out of the interaction pulls her friend a ay from Traveller shoutin$ 7shes married&9 She pulls her friend alon$ and they start al"in$ a ay, then as she passes, turns bac" to me and put her hand on my face sayin$ 7sorry, $oodbye&9 If her friend didnt happen to be married? 'ell I could honestly see myself leavin$ ith her, ithin the ne=t ) minutes, it asnt even late it as probably +-am at this point& So bein$ a tad shoc"ed at the success of the first approach8 in$in$, because hat I normally try and do is $et re*ected strai$ht a ay& There as only one thin$ to do& Approach 2 So e al" around to the other side of the club, and its fuc"in$ loud here and cramped& Theres a $or$eous blond here at the bar, ith a friend hos $ettin$ hit on& So I use that as my opener& 7>oure friends $ettin$ hit on isnt she9 7>eah, ho d you "no ?9 7Its pretty obvious, you loo" li"e a third heel9 She lau$hs and e end up tal"in$ in a stop start fashion for a fe minutes, but its hard because its so loud and she has a scouse 4.iverpudlian5 accent hich ma"es it even harder& I $et to "no her as /uic" as I can, and find out shes a sin$er, I say Im a $uitarist& !nd play around ith the idea of us in an ima$inary scenario ritin$ son$s and performin$ to$ether& !fter this the $uy sha"es my hand and al"s off, no idea hat happened and theyre lau$hin$& But after as"in$ about their lau$hter, the $irl ho as bein$ hit on, pretended I as her boyfriend; hich in my vie $ave me some "ind of acceptance8approval to han$ out ith them& So I mess around ith that dynamic, *o"in$ about the hard < years to$ether and 7remember our first fi$ht8ar$ument?9 !nd Traveller comes bac" over so I introduce him to the $irls& !t this point the $irl I as chattin$ too as $ivin$ me a bit of a yello li$ht, and this as even more apparent by bein$ a bit more touchy feely ith traveller, as"in$ about and touchin$ the nec"lace and bleached strea" in his hair& 6e also senses the lac" of direction the conversation ta"es, so I *ust decide to leave them some bait? 7:ice to meet you t o, ere $oin$ upstairs to $rab a drin"&9

71" e mi$ht come and *oin you&9 Approach 3 So e head upstairs and Traveller heads off to the toilet, I let him "no Im $oin$ to approach this $irl sittin$ on her o n in a chair& I sit do n, 76i, my friends *ust $one to the toilet can I borro some conversation for a second?9 76i, yeah $o for it& I *ust spilt a drin" on my dress, Im dryin$ off&9 'e tal" for a bit I found out shes out for a <,th birthday and I $uess shes -9 but shes really hot, so I try to avoid her frame of tal"in$ do n to me by bein$ 7only -<@ throu$h her eyes& I do this ith a simple comment of 7Aont let a$e distort your perception&9 In fact, hat Im capable of and demonstrated as chattin$ to her as easy Im used to han$in$ ith people in their late -,Bs and early <,Bs& So *ust as e $et into the conversation, I see the t o $irls from do nstairs come up spot me, sittin$ ne=t to this ne $irl and chattin$ to her, 7shitC9 I thou$ht to myself and this "noc"ed me off my thou$ht pattern for a moment, I as stuc" on hether to $o and tal" to them at the bar or see this interaction throu$h& So throu$h this indecision, I sa them al" past Traveller ithout sayin$ a ord, and $o strai$ht bac" do nstairs& So $uess I made the ri$ht choice to stic" ith it& NB: after talking to Traveller about this later on, I still have no idea if they came up to chat to me again, no other reason to simply go upstairs and straight down, plus I did half invite them too. So I tal" this ne $irl for a hile I *o"e and tease her, hile sharin$ e=periences and stories about the borou$hs e live in in .ondon 4because of this ell call her !n$el2D5& I feel this isnt $oin$ any here and the chairs ere sittin$ on are too bul"y to even ma"e a move, they ere li"e a cross bet een pod and office chairs& So I see Traveller come do n the stairs from the bar at the very top and use it as my /ueue to e*ect& !fter this theres no more success, or approaches& 6o ever theres one thin$ I ish I did? on the ay out e $rabbed coats from the cloa" room and I sa !n$el2D a$ain *ust in front of us, this as an hour after tal"in$ to her maybe& !nd that as to simply use The apocalypse opener& 'hich ould simply loo" li"e this? 76ey, !n$el2D9 76i 1lly Eo$er9 7'hat are you up to no ?9 7%oin$ home&9 7Ao you ant to come home ith me?9

'hy ould this or"? it as -?<,am, she as leavin$ on her o n 4so her friends couldnt *ud$e her5, I already demonstrated I as a real human bein$ by relatin$ places, people and e=periences to her& 'hat as there for her or I to lose? But I didnt, and I re$ret that so& But at least Ive realised that possibly for ne=t time& Overview: Im ma=imisin$ my attractiveness ri$ht no , hat I mean is, Im really loo"in$ after myself physically; Im eatin$ on a strict diet, bar one cheat day a ee", and I or" out F days a ee"& Im not near the physi/ue I ant to be yet but I am seein$ improvements, Im losin$ +2-lbs a ee" and I feel $reat because of my diet& Im startin$ to $et some definition on my arms and chest but no ay am I ripped, and I too" this to the test on Saturday& I ore a ell fitted plain hite t2shirt and the collar as simply dropped a bit, ith *ust blac" *eans and bro n shoes& The eyes I $ot ere the most Ive had in a lon$ time, and every interaction ent particularly ell, there ere no strai$ht out re*ections but I did only ma"e <, out of - of those I feel as thou$h I may have been able to $et a same ni$ht lay or one ni$ht stand& Im not sayin$ $irls are that shallo , absolutely not and I really love tal"in$ to and meetin$ ne omen for their individuality& But to $ive it an analo$y, loo"s are hat $ets your foot in the door, but its your conversation that slo ly lets that door open to let them invite you into their orld&

I left and said she 8ust missed a great oppertunity. !he giggled but said something irrelevant after, I can't really remember and I didn't really care. *y observing her from a little distance after I left I could see that she felt really sorry Man, I almost felt sorry for her, the poor girl *ut these were my very first approaches and I had to figure out why the numberclose failed. I left home and thought about it 0 revelation occured I had attraction sky rocketing, *-2... no comfort at all 2hat had to be reason for her refusal. !he must have felt like a slut or something by complying without knowing me. !he didn't even know my name, :.: 0nd that e;plained the reaction of H* %&' I decided she wasn't that pretty after all and began (0#< like( small talk and voila !he re6 engaged me several times by asking where I live etc. <onclusion' need comfort 2his night completely changed my style of gaming 2o hell with boring opinion openers. /irect suits me better. 0pocalypsing suits me best I feel like god 0 whole new world has opened for me. ,otta love it.
