PROJECT EXPO

GENERAL GUIDELINES:
The projects to be submitted can be Software or Embedded projects. Projects based on social cause and green computing will be preferred. Participants should mail their full project details and the abstracts preferably in '.doc' or '.pdf' ' format. A detailed report of the project highlighting its important aspects should also be submitted. Report is also considered for judging. The documentation have to be mailed on to the project expo mail id: **********@gmail.com Subject of the mail to be sent should follow the format: < Department Type Domain Title of the project> Participants are required to present a prototype / working model. The full project details with the abstract should be of text typed with Times New Roman font of size 12 excluding the first sheet containing the title and the last containing the references (if any) with the title in Upper-case Bold type. The first sheet should only contain title of the project, names of the team members and their respective institutes. The last sheet may have a list of references - websites, books, journals and so on which amply support the ideas or solutions implemented/proposed. The selected entries will be informed via e-mail and they would have to send replies confirming their participation. Teams will be provided with space for setting their model/design at the venue of judging.

RULES & REGULATIONS:


A team can have a maximum of 4 members. Papers only in the prescribed format will be passed to the first level screening. Only the participants who qualify in the screening round based on judging of the documentation shall be invited to Campus for the final round. Qualifying participants will have to make a presentation before a panel of judges explaining the salient points of their idea/innovation. Teams will be given a space to set up their model/design at the venue for judging. A detailed report in support of the design and highlighting the important aspects should also be brought. The report will be considered for judging.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Participants should bring all their requirements; if anything is required it should be specified along with the abstract. The decision of the judges shall be treated as final.

The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit. Any change in the rules, if any will be highlighted on the website and notified to the registered participants.

SPECIAL CARE NEEDED FOR EMBEDDED PROJECTS:


High-voltage equipment MUST be shielded with a grounded metal box or cage to prevent accidental contact. Large vacuum tubes or dangerous ray-generating devices MUST be properly shielded. High voltage wiring, switches, and metal parts MUST be located out of reach of observers and designed with an adequate overload safety factor. Electric circuits for 110-volt AC MUST have an Underwriter Laboratories- approved cord of proper load carrying capacity, which is at least nine feet long and equipped with a standard grounded or polarized plug. All wiring MUST be properly insulated; Nails, tacks, or staples that are not insulated MUST NOT be used to fasten wiring. The only power to be supplied will be standard 230V AC.
