Position Summary: The Executive Director is responsible for all operations of Minnesota Recovery Connection including ensuring compliance with all grant requirements. The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with all policies of the organization as approved by the MRC Board of Directors. The Executive Director serves as the MRC liaison with the Twin Cities recovery community, community organizations, volunteers, business and health provider communities and any other individuals or organizations assigned by the MRC Board. A. With the MRC Board, develop the business plan, financial plan and manage the annual B. C. D. E. F. G. H.
operational plan of MRC. Recruit, hire, train, retain and evaluate staff. Ensure consistent application of the agency human resources processes. Manage the daily activities and priorities of MRC and its staff and volunteers and compliance to policies and procedures. Manage the relationship with and work plan agreed to with Minnesota Department of Human Services for the Recovery Community Organization of the Metro Twin Cities grant. With the MRC Board, creates and communicate a compelling vision for the organization and opportunities for promotion of MRC. Maintain the coordination of MRC activities under the DHS grant with other RCO grantee organization(s). Establish relationships to enhance the visibility and success of MRC with the recovery community, county addiction programs, treatment programs, community organizations and resources, business community, foundations and local business community. Direct the recruitment, training and involvement of Peer-to-Peer Volunteer Recovery Coaches.

I. Direct the development of relationships and coordination with other programs and services to J. K. L. M. N. O. P. Q.
assist individuals and families achieve and maintain a successful recovery. Develop and implement a marketing, communication and visibility plan for MRC. Direct the creation and success of special events for the metro recovery community. Serve as an advocate for recovery within the community and with governmental bodies and committees. Secure additional funding including grants and grant writing. Ensure integrity and quality of programs and services through quality improvement, licensing and internal monitoring processes. Oversee preparation for all program audits. Ensure fiscal viability of program through effective use and management of MRC resources. Facilitate and maintain relationships with community/contractual partners. Develop and implement effective outreach and marketing plan.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Qualifications: Required:

A. Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience (Required); Masters degree (Desired but not B. C. D. E. F. G. H. I. J.
required). Knowledge of the addiction recovery field. Demonstrated experience in leadership of an organization or major role within an organization with a minimum of 3-5years of successful leadership as an executive or senior manager. Demonstrated experience in partnering with other external organizations and building relationships with other organizations. Demonstrated knowledge of standard business practices, fiscal management, personnel management and budget development and monitoring. Strong grant writing skills with demonstrated history of writing successful grants. Minimum of two years free of chemical problems. Knowledge of or experience with other segments of the Twin Cities community including treatment programs, community organizations such as foundations business, healthcare and social services. Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and relevant abilities working with and engaging in service delivery or community outreach with diverse populations. Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication.

Desired:

1. Relevant experience interfacing with and utilizing social media tools sets such as Facebook,
Linked-In, YouTube, Twitter, Blogging, mobile applications and widgets.

2. Ability to identify and monitor relevant and influential blogs/social media platforms; and when
appropriate, respond appropriately on behalf of the company, maintaining consistency of answers and minimizing legal and brand image risk. 3. Proven track record of effectively leading an advocacy organization with recognized credibility.

4. Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptive and innovative approach to organizational


management. 5. Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Compensation and Benefits:
