KSSR Content Standard: 4.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to enjoy and appreciate rhymes, poems and songs, through performance. KSSR Learning Standard: 4.1.1 Able to enjoy action songs and jazz chants through non-verbal response. Cross-curricular Elements: Contextual Learning, Multiple Intelligence- musical intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence Moral Values: Appreciate all the occupations in the world, work hard, never give up on your dreams. Behavioral Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: (a.) identify at least 5 types of occupations. (b.) pronounce at least 3 new words found in the lyrics of the song correctly. (c.) sing the song Occupations with the tune Are you sleeping. (d.) match at least 5 occupations with the tools related to the particular occupations. Prior Knowledge: 1. Pupils know some examples of occupations.

Set Induction (5 mins)

Getting to know students.

1. Teacher asks about the students ambition and what they want to be in the future. 2. Teacher chooses a few students to tell the class more about their ambition. 3. Students guess the topic they are going to learn.

PreActivity (10 mins)

Riddle games.

5. Teacher then invites students to play riddle games and explain how the games will be played. Teacher gives students some clues regarding the

occupations and students will have to guess the answer. A total of 5 to 10 riddles will be given depending on the students response. If their response is good and they enjoy the game, more riddles will be given. Once students are able to give the correct answers, picture cards about the occupations will be pasted on the board. WhileActivity (35 mins) Learning the song Teacher distributes the song lyrics of Occupation to every pupil. Teacher reads the lyrics with correct intonation, rhythm and stress. Teacher explains to students if there are any words they dont understand. Singing the song Teacher sings the song and asks the pupils to sing along to the tune they are familiar with Are You Sleeping. again, with actions this time. A few students that follow along and perform well will be asked to stand in front together with teacher and perform the songs with actions. Teacher distributes a worksheet for the pupils to complete in class. On the worksheet, pupils are asked to match the occupation with the tools that are related to the occupation. (e.g. Doctorstereoscope) Discussion Teacher discusses the answers with the pupils and explains the occupation further more. PostActivity (5mins) Reflection on students interest Teacher asks students to speak about their interests and suggest occupations that might be suitable to them. Teacher asks the
