OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL

NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL
AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE
PROHIBITED.

2. Eligibility. Sacramento & Co “Dream Wedding” 2008 Contest (the “Contest”) is open to
unmarried Northern California residents, 21 years or older at the time of entry, limited to
residents of the following counties comprising the Sacramento/Stockton/Modesto DMA
as defined by Nielsen: Plumas; Butte, Colusa, Sutter, Yuba, Yolo, Placer, El Dorado,
Solano, Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tuolumne, and Mariposa.
Employees of KXTV, Gannett Co. Inc., With a Twist Wedding and Event Design as well
as participating advertisers and each of their respective affiliated companies, subsidiaries,
advertising or promotional agencies, and other agents, and the immediate family
members of, and any persons domiciled with such employees, are not eligible.

3. Entry. The Contest will begin at 12:01 a.m. PST on February 25th, 2008 and all entries
must be postmarked by March 10th, 2008 or dropped off at KXTV by 5:00 p.m. on March
10th, 2008 (the “Contest Period”).

Entrants must first visit the Sacramento & Co “Dream Wedding” 2008 official
registration page on the Sacramento & Co website, www.sacandco.net and download the
registration/application form pursuant to instructions. Entrants must then enter the
Contest by submitting the completed application form along with either a five minute
VHS videotape of the entrants telling their story and making a case as to why the entrant
should win the Contest or a selection of five to eight pictures of the couple. In the event
entrant submits pictures, the entry must include a one page summary of why the entrant
should win the Contest. Entries may be mailed to or dropped off at KXTV News10’s
Sacramento & Co., 400 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95816 Attn: Sacramento & Co

One (1) entry per couple, as identified jointly on each official Contest application.
KXTV and each Sponsor (as identified below) will not be responsible for incomplete,
lost, late, post-due, misdirected or illegible entries.

All entrants must be willing to, among other things, make themselves and their wedding
party (where applicable) available to be interviewed and videotaped by KXTV for
broadcast on KSDK; allow KSDK to conduct a background check on the bride and
groom; make themselves available for multiple appearances on Sacramento & Co. and
for related publicity and promotions.
4. Prizes and Odds. Four (4) couples will be selected as finalists by a committee
comprised of KXTV representatives on or about March 11th, 2008. One (1) Grand Prize
Package will be awarded to one couple (identified jointly on the Contest application)
chosen by viewers of KXTV through an interactive voting procedure on
www.sacandco.net March 11th through March 31st, 2008. For purposes of this Contest
and the official Contest rules, the winner of the Grand Prize Package shall be a couple
consisting of two (2) adults, one male and one female (“Winner”). The Grand Prize is
one (1) wedding package themed “Enchanted Garden”, valued at approximately $?????
and includes the following items:

• Wedding for up to 100 to be held at TBD. The approximate retail value is $5,000.
• Hair and makeup for the bride and the mother of the bride from TDB. The
approximate retail value is $350.
• Honeymoon from TBD. The approximate retail value is $3,500.
• Wedding cake from TBD. The approximate retail value is $500.
• Gown from TBD. The approximate retail value is $800.
• Bride’s and groom’s wedding bands from TBD. The approximate retail value is
$1,500.
• Photography of wedding from TBD to include three hours of service and photo
album. The approximate retail value is $799.
• Wedding invitations from TBD. The approximate retail value is $500.
• DJ service from TBD to include three hours of DJ service. The approximate retail
value is $595.
• Reception dinner OR LUNCH for 75 at the (LOCATION) provided TBD. The
approximate retail value is $5,000.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All expenses not
specified as part of the Grand Prize package are the sole responsibility of Winner.
Honeymoon trip may be subject to blackout periods, and other restrictions may apply.
Winner is responsible for any costs over and above the prize value amounts identified
above. The Grand Prize package does not include alcohol; however, winner may choose
to include this solely at their expense. Winner is solely responsible for obtaining an
individual to perform the ceremony as well as any associated costs. The Winner must be
available to be married on June 2nd, 2008. KXTV will record the wedding LIVE on June
2nd, 2008.

5. Winner Notification and Acceptance. Finalists will be notified by telephone

prior to the announcement on-air on or about March 12th, 2008. Winner will be notified
by telephone prior to the announcement on-air on or about March 31 st. Winner may waive
its right to receive the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize is non-assignable and
nontransferable. No substitutions allowed, except that prizes and individual components
of Grand Prize package is subject to availability and Sponsors reserve the right to
substitute prizes of equal or greater value. The winner is solely responsible for reporting
and payment of any taxes on prizes. The winner may be required to complete an affidavit

 of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which
must be returned within twenty-four (24) hours after receipt. Failure to sign and return
the affidavit or release within 24 hours, or to comply with any term or condition of these
Official Rules, may result in the Winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her
interest in the prize, and the award of the Grand Prize to an alternate winner. Except
where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s consent to the
publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for
any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation. For
name of the Winner, (available after March 31st, 2008), send a self-addressed, stamped

6. Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and

the decisions of the judges. Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify persons found
tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by
Sponsors. In the event the Contest is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human
intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which
corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the
Contest, Sponsors reserve the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate
the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date,
Sponsors reserve the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the
termination date.

7. Limitations of Liability. By entering the Contest, entrant agrees that (1) any and all
disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or
any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class
action, and entrant waives his or her right to a jury trial for such disputes, claims, and
causes of action; (2) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-
pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no
event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to
obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or
consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise
increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses.

8. Construction. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity,

interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of
any contestant and Sponsors, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the
laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of
law rules or provisions (whether of California, or any other jurisdiction) that would cause
the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than California. The invalidity or
unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or
enforceability of any other provision. If any such provision is determined to be invalid or
otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as
if the valid or enforceable provision was not contained therein.

9. General Release. By entering the Contest, contestants release KXTV, Gannett Co., Inc.,
and all Sponsors, participating advertisers, any other promotional sponsors, and each of
their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives,
partners and agents from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or
damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or with the
acceptance, possession or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs,
injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or
destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false
light).

10. Sponsors. The Sacramento & Co “Dream Wedding” 2008 Contest is sponsored by
KXTV, With a Twyst Wedding and Event Design, (add other participating sponsors once
determined) (collectively, “Sponsors”), whose decisions regarding the selection of
winners and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects.
Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in
these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Contest. If you have any
