Chapter One The Problem and Its Setting The problem is that when people go into the military, they are unprepared for what they are about to face. In order to train them for the real battlefield, they are taught special combat and how to shoot a target. When it comes to missions, they go through diagrams and models of the mission. But after all that training, there are times where the mission fails or it doesnt go smoothly. Introduction Statement of the Problem The problem that this project will try to correct is the issue of missions failing and other types of attacks from the enemy. This is an important problem because depending on the mission, it can affect many lives. An example would be to defuse a bomb. If the mission to defuse a bomb fails, then peoples lives will be in danger. My project will decrease the percentage of failed missions by developing a military simulation that will go through missions, combat training, marksman training, and more. This needs to be done because soldiers need to be trained for the battlefield and missions need to go smoothly. This project will help out many families since many lives are lost due to surprise attacks from the enemy. This project will also help make the USA safer since other people could use the program for the combat training if they are being bullied by other people.

Background of the Problem

There are times where training the soldiers work and there are times where training the soldiers doesnt work. Practicality has always been an issue with training military members: scheduling for ranges, transportation to the sites, acquiring necessary equipment such as ammunition, and most importanttime. (army.mil) It takes time to try to train someone and when it comes to target practice and grenade practice, military training facilities have to wait until the producers make the ammo and then ship it to them. In order to address this issue, the military simulation will have the programs needed to train the soldier. The best part is that it can save money. The bullets in the simulation are just like the bullets in the real world but just virtual. Another problem would be the failed missions/missions that dont go smoothly. An example of a mission would be the mission to eliminate Osama Bin Laden. There were parts of the mission where things didnt go smoothly. An example would be the helicopter and the time. The pilot didnt land in the area properly. The military simulation would have a program that can teach the pilot how to land in the dark. Purpose of the Study The purpose of the study is to help prepare soldiers for what they will face later on in this life. The combat will also teach self-defense to people who are bullied by others. The military simulation could also have flight simulations. This can help people learn how to fly helicopters and jets. The program could have driving simulations but for the vehicles used in the army like tanks. In the end, the simulation will teach the soldiers what they need to know when it comes to driving, flying, and what to do on the ground. Goal of the Study

My goal is to create a military simulation that will help teach soldiers what they need to know when they are on the ground, in the air, or in the water. Research Questions Introduction to Research Questions Questions are necessary in order to correct mistakes and explain the full understanding. Since there is information that is potentially left unexplained, questions basically answers all the curiosities that are created while explaining the project. In agricultural purposes, questions could be vital to the understanding of how agricultural aspects work Research Questions Related to Hypotheses or Engineering Goals 1. How will you put bullet drop in the simulation? 2. How will you program the damage in the engine? Purpose Jargon, or words and terms used in a particular profession that are difficult for others to understand, tends to be either typical words that take on different meanings or special terms of which many have never heard. Definitions 3D Modeling- the process of developing a mathematical representation of any three-dimensional surface of object via specialized software. Artificial Intelligence- technology and a branch of computer science that studies and develop intelligent machines and software. Significance of the Study

This study is important is to help people get use to the battlefield. It also teaches people how to fight due to the combat training part in the simulation. Importance of Military Simulation This simulation can help make missions go smoothly and help train people who are being bullied. How Important the Study is This study is very important. There are times where the missions fail. This program will help make sure the percentage for failing a mission decrease. The combat part of the program will help people who are bullied. The program will teach people how to fight and protect themselves. An instructor must be there so the person doesnt get carried away or hurts someone.

Summary This military simulation will not only help the soldiers and pilots, but will also help children who are bullied. The children can learn how to protect themselves and the soldiers will learn what to do on the battlefield. The pilots will learn how to fly and the drivers will learn how to drive the boats and tanks.
