Document Usage

This chapter describes the relationship among different manuals
in the ZXG10 B8018 (V6.20) document set. It also explains the
method and order of using these manuals to obtain information
easily.
Relationship among Manuals
Each manual in the set focuses on different aspects of ZXG10
B8018 (V6.20) but are related to each other. Usage of these
manuals in appropriate way and correct order makes the system
configuration, installation, and operation easier and trouble free.
Figure 1 explains the relationship among manuals in the set.

The most important is Technical Manual that provides details
about the technical specifications and standards followed in this
system. It is helpful in understanding functionality of the whole
system and makes it easier for engineers to configure and
operate.
Installation Manual includes all the details of equipment
installation and instructions regarding how to make the system

work efficiently. ZXG10 B8018 (V6.20) complete installation
includes both cabinet and antenna feeder installation.

ZTE recommends reading the Documentation Guide first to
understand the documents architecture, purpose, contents, and
usage of the ZXG10 B8018 (V6.20) document set.

modules and boards. It also explains the connection relationship
of external interfaces, LED indicators, and DIP switch and
jumper settings.

Document Distribution
and Customer Feedback

This chapter describes the document distribution methods to the
customers and provides information regarding customer
feedback.
Document Distribution
Product manuals are distributed to the customers in the
following ways:
Printed manuals are shipped along with the equipment.
Manuals in PDF format on CDs are shipped along with the
equipment.
Manuals in word format are available on the ZTEs technical
support website, http://support.zte.com.cn
Follow these steps to download electronic product manuals
from the ZTE technical support website:
i. Log on to http://support.zte.com.cn and click English to
go to the English version homepage.
ii. In the Sign In field, input your username and password
and click Sign In.
For first time registration on the server, click on Register
and input related information by following the on-screen
instructions. A ZTE engineer completes the registration
process after confirmation and the customer is sent a
username and password for logging on to the website.
iii. Click on Documentation on the main menu, and then
expand the navigation bar on the left as Product
Manual GSM-BSS ZXG10-BSC ZXG10-BSS
Click on the desired document link. Another window
opens showing detailed information about the document

and click on the download link to download a RAR or PDF
file.
iv. Another option is to click on the Inquiry button on the
left navigation bar and search for the desired document
by providing relevant information. Also the Search By
