Information Booklet: Residential Camps conducted by Swami Dhesikan Stotra Paata Goshtee under the guidance of Sri U.Ve.E.S.Mukundan Swami. About Sri Mukundan Swami:Sri Mukundan Swami is conducting these Residential Camps and teaching children for the past 10 years at Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune. The main aim of the camps is Satsang -. Imparting moral education and strong traditional values among children is an important aspect which Sri Mukundan Swami has concentrated all these years. Swami has conducted 17 + Residential Camps, 68 + Day Scholar Camps for Children in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Ahobilam from the past 10 years. All the Residential Camps have been runway hits gathering the attention of Parents and Media. Last year Swami was instrumental in conducting Vaalmeeki Raamaayana quizzes in Schools. An Online Quiz series of Vaalmeeki Raamayana was also conducted at our site which saw participants participating from all over the world. Swami Dhesikan Stotra Paata Goshtee started by Sri U.Ve.P.V.Pranathaarthiharan Swami, has completed 20 years devoting service to the society under the guidance of Sri Mukundan Swamy.! 2. Recitation competitions in Swami Dhesikan Stotrams were conducted every month which got a great response in Hyderabad. 4. In the year 2012 (October)-2013, (October) an online quiz series on Thirunangur divya desams has been conducted which received a great response. This special series was to enlighten children on different Divya Desams (108 Holy Shrines in Sri Vaishanava Philosophy). 5. Annual Thiruppavai Celebrations and competitions were conducted in which 470 students from 10 schools participated in Sloka Recitation, drawing and Swami Dhesikan Charitam quiz competitions 6. This year by the grace of Swami Dhesikan, students of Swami Dhesikan Stotra Paata Goshtee recited slokas and Bhajans in presence of HH Srimad Parakala Swamy, (HH Jeer of Sri Parakala Mutt) and HH Sri Ranganatha Yatheendra Maha Dhesikan Swami, (HH 46th Jeer of Sri Ahobila Mutt). About the Residential Camps The residential camps conducted by Sri Mukundan Swami are simple but beautiful. Emphasis on teaching Swami Desikan Slokas, Moral values, Mythological stories from Vaalmeeki Raamayana, our History and Tradition to children in these camps. Students are also taught Sandhyavandhanam also. Apart from these, basic Sanskrit, team activities through Skits, Singing, Bhajans, Math puzzles, drawing, quizzes are also included in the curriculum. Children are also shown Devotional movies such as Little Krishna. All these activities are aimed at Self Development and our children getting familiar with our culture and traditions. Empowering a child ethically and spiritually so that he can be confident enough in every situation is very important. The students who attend these camps will surely increase their confidence in various aspects. These camps always draw praise from parents as they see enormous change in their wards.

The topics to be covered in this camp are:Ramanuja Charitam, Dhesika Charitam, Dhesika Stotrams, Alwar Charitam, Divya Desams, Raamayana (Any changes will be informed 1 week prior). Other than these, Spiritual games, Bhajans/Skit, Math Puzzles, and Storytelling/Computer Education (Basics) * (tentative) would also be covered in this camp. What Students get by attending this camp: Importance of our culture and tradition. Reciting Swami Desikan Stotrams he/she increases mental abilities along with their Self confidence Team Building Skills Positive Attitude Moral and ethical values Enhanced Physical/ Mental and spiritual development of the child. Things to be brought to the camp: Each student shall bring: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Dress sets for the week : Parents can wash and bring on alternate days Stationery : (2 blue ink ball point pens, 1 sketch pen set ), Steel plate and glass/bottle For food Toiletry & personal care Kumkum, Sri Churnam / Thiruman Towel and two light bed sheets It will be quite hot in Pune Temple will supply notebooks, drawing charts, crayon boxes for the puzzles / exercises during the camp 7. 7. Temple will also organize prasadam / bhajan for the participants either directly from the temple kitchen or with the help of Sri Vaishnava volunteers. 8. A TV set with DVD player will be of great help. If any of the participants parents can lend one for that week, it would be very much appreciated. The same will be returned on the last day of the camp. 9. Sri Mukundan Swamy will bring DVDs on Krishna Leela, Ramanuja drama, skit on Swami Desikan etc. Any other VCD (on related topics) which may be of use to children can be supplied by any member.
