FESTIVAL PROGRAMME SCREENINGS

Film screenings of all the work produced by Film and TV and joint honours students will take place throughout the day in the build-up to the evenings showcase and awards ceremony. The screenings will take place in the Antonin Artaud Building (AA001).

11 a.m. First year fictions and non-fictions. A programme of short films produced by students on the film theory
and practice module. An eclectic mix of adverts, fictions and experimental films. Films screened include: Drink Responsibly, Leech, British Stammering Association Ad, Treat Yourself This Christmas, The Interview, Alternates, Apocalypse Proof, Cancer Research Ad, Crash, GHD Ad, Stop the Stigma, and a few tantalisingly untitled films.

11.45 a.m. Second year short fiction films. A programme of films exploring the short film form produced on the video production module. Romance, horror, thriller and murder are all represented.
Films screened include: 36 Hours, Betrayal, The Great Art, La Mariee, Never Let Go, Paranoia, Relapse, Lamour fou, 30 Minutes or Less, Bad Trip, Change of Place, and a tantalisingly untitled project.

12.45 p.m. Open Call. This programme strand showcases student films produced outside of their university course.
Subjects range from Charlie Chaplin to tackling the problem of self-harm. Films screened include: The Greatest Show (Francesca Floris and Kristijonas Dirse, 2012) Hidden Harm (Izzy Khatkaur, 2013)

1 p.m. Break
1.30 p.m. Third year documentary films. A programme of wide-ranging documentary films exploring varied subjects. They take you from a barber shop in Uxbridge to a retirement home, from the issue of Iranian migration to performance poetry. Films screened include: The Barber Shop, The Land of Freedom, Poplars Care Home and Poetry in Motion.

2.30 p.m. Third year alternative video practice films. A programme of films exploring the relation between film, art
and experimentation. Be prepared to have your horizons widened. Films screened include: Lucid Dreamer, Perception, Locus, Lenses and Selfie. The screenings will end around 3.15 p.m.

SHOWCASE The BUFF 2014 Showcase and Awards Ceremony will take place in the Antonin Artaud Building (AA001). Films shortlisted for awards in the Experimental, Fiction and Documentary categories will be screened, alongside highlight of 1st and 2nd year films and the work of students in Games Design. 4 p.m. for 4.20 p.m. start Experimental Film Screenings:
