Night Antarctica

Scene opens in a mist/blistery Antarctic habitat. With a polar bear cub stumbling over a hill/dune of
snow. With a sad expression
Soundtrack playing in the background
The Camera follows the Polar bears desperate footsteps, with the snow aggressively being dragged
behind the cub. Zoom shots on paws smashing the snow
Camera pans out to show the vast scenery of the Antarctic
Desperation on the cubs face
Title fades in from the centre
Camera follows cubs vision, frame shakes with the footsteps
Wolves howling are heard, Camera focuses on profile of cub
Cub responds to sound
Desperation on cubs face once again, panting, exhausted
Cub comes to abrupt halt at a cliff, high angled camera to the right
Wolves panting still, intensifies
Camera on cubs face, scared expression
Behind shot of cub, fur covered in snow and ice
Cub jumps reluctantly and plummets below, camera still behind.
Loud thud, screen blackness and howling is once again heard

Howling becomes muffled almost dreamlike, watery and echoing
[Long period of this shot]
Camera becomes cubs eyes. Blurred opening vision


Day Tropical Jungle
The next scene opens in a rainforest. Birdseye view of the cub on a beach/river bed
Camera pans up as though cubs vision shows a daunting deep forest. Various jungle sounds are
heard
The cub slowly and reluctantly walks into the vast jungle. The camera starts off behind the cub. It
transitions to a side shot of the cub walking, bright colourful foliage is behind the cub
Long shot ahead of the cub, different animals heads popping out a different heights looking at the
cub, still long shot but slightly behind the cub, with head and shoulders seen. With every step
different animals heads come out of view and run away
A pack of wolves at least 12 strong come out of the foliage to the left, the cub scared darts to the
right into the bush camera follows him and his body seizes and becomes strained
Camera showing cubs face. Scared and on edge, deep breathing expressions on his face. Cries can be
heard
Cub pokes his head out of the hedges and sees a baby wolf alone, the cub is reluctant to take a
closer look
He looks up camera pans with his vision, too see Chimps looking at him, they realise and turn away
Pans back down to the lone wolf
Camera becomes slightly blurred, as a flashback occurs, cub is once again in the arctic, running from
the wolves and humans being pulled along, with his mother. The mother is shot and goes down, but
screams in agony Run. The camera shows the cubs face and fear reluctant to go, he looks at his
mother in pain, then up at the approaching human ready to finish the job, the other humans and
wolf continue the pursuit and direct towards him, cub crying and frozen runs and leaves his mother.
Cub runs with the camera in front of him showing the pack, still crying and breathing heavily tired.
The camera and cub turn to see wolves and the humans, the wolves are craving the cub. The camera
zooms in to a wolf; this then fades back into the baby jungle wolf.
The cubs face once again, fear and sadness can be seen, and he begins to walk off, camera high
Birdseye view showing cub and wolf.
. Large rustling can be heard and a large grizzly bear comes out of the shrubbery, camera cuts to the
cubs face. Inquisitive to the sound he runs back and pokes his head out of the shrubs; camera above
his shoulder. The camera cuts to the terrified baby wolf; then a cut too the bear in realisation of the
baby.
The camera now on the cubs face, flash back again to wolfs above his dying mother with
approaching dark human figures, then to a cut of the baby wolf. Then to the cubs face once again,
the cub then runs towards the giant bear and the wolf through the shrubbery, camera behind the
cub, camera cuts to the paws of the cub, quick movements then to the cubs face determined
expression.
Cut too bear preparing for an attack on the wolf, baby wolf attempts to run off, just falling on the
ground in state of shock and panic.
Camera cuts to the right of the wolf, into the thick overgrowth. The cub leaps out and grabs the baby
wolf by the scruff of the neck. The pair then dart into the left with camera following. The bear
follows.
Cub holding wolf by its scruff runs through the trees and under roots and obstacles. Camera snaps
between cubs paws, face and upper shoulders and head.
Camera cuts to the cub running forward with the bear behind. (Wolf begins louder cries)
The chase continues, young cub is losing distance and the bear is catching up. Camera cuts to a
panicked cub. Baby wolf still crying, howling is heard camera pans up as though cubs vision to higher
ground, where the pack of wolves are (the babys pack)
Bear is oblivious and continues the chase, other animals can be seen as camera cuts back to the
bear, and chimps in the trees snakes dangling down too see the commotion, birds of paradise. All
see the help the outsider (the cub) is doing. Chimps begin to throw things at the bear to deter. It
only angers it. Camera cuts to the bulging bear and then to its large paws thudding the ground
below, dragging up material as it does so.
The camera cuts to the cub, then to a log in front of him, then back to the cubs face, the cub
attempts to jump it camera behind him. He misses, and scrambles to get over. Bear close behind,
camera is now in front of the cub, with the bear taking a stride about to attack, the whole pack of
wolves jump out of the hedges, attacking the bear, the camera cuts to slow stills of the leaping
wolves, and then them attacking the great bear.
Cut to the cub tired, dragging the baby to safety near a large tree. The cubs paw is hurt from the
impact with the log.
Camera cuts to the bear, overwhelmed with the wolves lose momentum and plod into the left
hedge. Camera then pans back to the cub. The baby wolf in thankfulness is licking the cubs wound.
Camera zoomed only showing the wound and the small wolf. From the left comes a tongue also
licking the wound. Camera pans out too see the babys family also helping the cub. The cub looks up
(camera in front) in shock sees the wolf and then all the other animals closer to him than before,
accepting him.
