In Local News
Two men were shot and wounded at a Night club in Elizabeth in the early morning
hours. The two Irvington men were shot as part of a crowd of people leaving the
Envy Night Club at around 2 AM. Both men were taken to a local hospital, treated
and released.
Elizabeth Police continue their investigation but are urging anyone with information
or on what might have led to the shooting to contact Detective Beltran at 908-558-
2037.

A Scotch Plains couple was killed early Sunday Morning when their car slammed
into a parked tractor trailer on the westbound shoulder of Interstate 78 near
Glenside Avenue around 4 AM.
State Police had the right and center lanes of the highway closed for 4 hours as part
of the accident investigation. Authorities did not release the names of the victims or
their relation between the two.

In National News
An national uproar was heard over comments made by the NBAs Los Angeles
Clippers owner Donald Sterling while he made racial remarks to a girlfriend which
were captured on recording and obtained by TMZ.
Once the recording was released, NBA commissioner Adam Silver dropped the
hammer on Sterling, fining him over 2 million dollars, and banning him from any
interaction with the Clippers organization, or National Basketball Association in any
affiliation whatsoever.
Sterling is expected to fight the charges and seek a lawyer to appeal the charges as
soon as possible. Recent bouts with cancer have put Sterling in a precarious
situation in the future months ahead.

A home owned by former tennis star, James Blake was the scene of a crime over the
weekend. Blake, who was not home at the time, says the home is currently being
rented.
A family of four suffered gunshot wounds to the head before dying in a house fire,
set by heavy duty fireworks strapped to the bodies. The father of the family was
said to have purchased fireworks and gas cans in the days before the event.
Police are not ruling out any suspects in addition to the murder suicide.

In International News
The terrorist group Boko Haram have abducted over 300 school girls from Nigeria.
Officials fear the girls have been kidnapped and taken in to the dark world of human
trafficking. The helpless girls were taken from school while many did not know any
better.
Since the abductions, the girls have likely already been split up and taken out of the
country. Nigerian President Jonathan has credited the United States, Britain, China,
and France with offering an outpour of support amidst the tragedy. Military are
looking for any signs of any girls and have a strong possibility that at least one will
escape to eventual safety and offer a lead as to where the rest of the girls may be
located.

An earthquake rocked southern Mexico over the weekend. The 6.4 magnitude
quake was less than a month after some small tremors were accounted for on that
exact location. This is the third earthquake to hit Mexico in just over a month.
The larger quake last month registering a 7.2 on the Richter scale, however it was
said to have cause insignificant damage, unlike the smaller event today which
produced some minor damage also.

In Local Sports
The Rangers play host to the Pittburgh Penguins tomorrow night as they look to
take the lead in the series, currently tied at 1 a piece.
In Baseball,
The Mets had the night off and return home to Citi Field tonight at 7:05.
The Yankees lost their home and home series with the Cubs last night by a score of 5
to 3.
