Easy to Make Delicious Sugar Cookies made Simple

I love sugar cookies, but most sugar cookie recipes are complicated and require
refrigerating the dough, and ingredients, like buttermilk, that most of us don't
readily have on hand. I have found a very simple sugar cookie recipe that is so
easy to make that even young kids can measure and make with little supervision.
SIMPLE SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE ingredients:
1 cup softened butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder

In large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla extract, until blende

These Simple Sugar Cookies are great with or without frosting. Food coloring can
be added to the dough before cooking to make sugar cookies of all colors. This
recipe doubles and triples well, so you can make dozens of Simple Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
1 stick (1/2 cup) softened butter (salted or unsalted)
3/4 cup light or dark brown sugar
1 large egg
1-1/4 cup flour, all-purpose, self rising, or bread (lightly spoon the flour int
o the measuring cup and level off. DO NOT PACK DOWN FLOUR WHEN MEASURING!)
1 cup chocolate chips (any kind your prefer or have on hand)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Mix the butter and sugar together until completely combined.
Add the egg and mix until incorporated.
Stir in the flour then the chocolate chips until combined.
Scoop into mounds about 1 TBSP each onto ungreased cookie sheets (you can use a
silpat or parchment paper to line your sheets). Do not put more than 9 cookies p
er sheet.
Bake at 350F until just set on the edges and middle still looks undercooked. Abou
t 8-12 minutes. (if you did not use brown sugar the cookies will not brown becau
se of the lack of baking soda and baking powder)
Allow to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before removing. Cookies will c
ontinue to cook on the sheets for a few minutes.

7Take bits of your mixture and put it onto your hands and roll it into a ball.
