REPLACING THE PREFERENCES TO RESET PHOTOSHOP

The easiest way to cure basic Photoshop ills is to replace a corrupted
Preferences file. The easiest way to do that is to simply delete the file and let
Photoshop generate a new one to replace it. To restore Photoshop to its
default settings, hold down (command-option-shift) [Ctrl+Alt+Shift] when
starting the program.
