    Leticia Van de Putte Speaks To Texas Travel Industry Association PAC

    San Antonio, TX Last night, the Texas Tourism Industry Association PAC welcomed Senator
    Leticia Van de Putte to address their membership.

    Senator Van de Putte shared with those present at the event:

    Texas is a beautiful state that offers something for everyone. From the vast high plains
    of the Panhandle to the beaches of the Gulf Coast to culturally rich San Antonio, there is
    much to experience in our great state. Tourism is an important segment of the economy in
    Texas, bringing over $12 billion in economic impact to San Antonio, and the industry
    employs over 112,000 local Texans. Unfortunately, this election cycle some Texas
    Republicans have been spouting off toxic rhetoric about immigration and our border
    communities. This hurts the image of our state and tears down our communities, in turn
    affecting our tourism and ultimately hurting our economy. I am committed to ensuring
    Texas remains a strong, inviting state with a vibrant economy.

    BACKGROUND: The Texas Travel Industry Associations mission is to unify and
    develop industry leadership that will support and influence the growth of Texas travel
    and tourism.
