DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP SEGMENT (DIS) 2013 The year 2013 marked the completion of yet another successful summer internship process at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). The summer internship segment is called Development Internship Segment (DIS), as it is designed to primarily strengthen IRMA participants' exposure to grass root rural development interventions as well as atypical challenges of primary producer / other socially oriented organizations. They are expected to blend their understanding of theory of rural development interventions and managerial skills for achievement of goals of the targeted interventions. The Development Internship Segment is a seven-week module, which marks the beginning of the second year in the PRM curriculum. Under the guidance of faculty and the host organization, participants are expected to engage in activities such as organising and mobilising the community for collective action; performing functional management tasks in collective enterprises, undertaking socially beneficial assignments in other enterprises or such other tasks as assigned by the host organization. The DIS is scheduled during June-July every year, after completion of 3 classroom terms and one fieldwork segment.

We are extremely grateful to our recruiters who have overwhelmed us with their relentless support and co-operation. IRMA will continue to support rural enterprises in their endeavours by providing top-notch managerial talent.
