Nobby Nic is Schwalbes tire with the widest range of applications. Tour and All Mountain riders love them. Suitable for fast XC races and technical Enduro
competitions. Schwalbe now presents the third generation of Nobby Nic.
The new Nobby Nic is Tubeless Easy. It comes with a new monofilament SnakeSkin fabric on the sidewall. Therefore the tire is even better protected against
sidewall cuts, but most of all it makes tubeless conversion extremely easy.
The tread design has been completely revised. It is now even more versatile and is the complete tire for all conditions. To achieve this Markus Hachmeyer,
Schwalbes chief R&D engineer, optimized every single block on the tire. Size, shape, surface, position. Every detail has an influence on the riding performance
of the tire.
Its not the fastest Cross-Country tire, not the toughest Enduro tire and also not the most
grippy mud tire, but if you are looking for a tire that works in every situation, a tire that is
never the wrong one, when it doesnt matter what the weather is like, and no matter what
kind of terrain is awaiting you, there is no better choice than the new Nobby Nic.

Schwalbe is so convinced about the new Nobby Nic, that it will also replace the legendary Fat Albert tire. Despite all the improvements in riding performance,
weight and rolling resistance stay the same. Delivery will start in Autumn. in Autumn.
The vision was to make a perfect do-everything tire.

THE NEW SNAKESKIN
SnakeSkin is one of the most effective inventions that Schwalbe ever made for mountain bikes.
SnakeSkin fabric adds only ca. 40-50 g per tire. This makes it the most practical protection
against sharp rocks that can easily cut the sidewall of light racing tires.
Since this makes the tubeless conversion very easy, we call these tires Tubeless Easy.
Tubeless Easy now replaces the former Tubeless and Tubeless Ready versions.

THE NEW SNAKESKIN
MULTIFILAMENT FIBER
The old SnakeSkin is made from a multifilament fiber, as used in most
textiles.
MONOFILAMENT FIBER
The new SnakeSkin is based on a strong monofilament fiber. This makes
the sidewall even more cut resistant and also more airtight.
With the new SnakeSkin we improved our
cut-resistance by 18% which makes a TLE tire
85% more resistance than a LiteSkin tire,
without SnakeSkin.

CUT RESISTANCE
The new SnakeSkin fabric is made from a monofilament polyamide fiber. There are three big
advantages: Better cut resistance, enhanced Snakebite protection and most of all, it enables
easy tubeless conversion. Sealant is still required, but apart from that, fitting is just as easy as
with a specific tubeless tire. Time consuming conversions with several trials, intensive shaking
and repeated pumping are now a thing of the past.

Liteskin is the lightest version of Nobby Nic. It also has strong, tubeless
compatible beads. If a longer conversion process is not an issue then
these tires can also be made Tubeless by using a sealant.

VERSIONS
At its recent debut at the Enduro World Series in Scotland, Nobby Nic achived its first ever win. The
French Enduro rider Nico Lau, riding for the Cube Action Team rode Nobby Nic on the rear with the
aggressive tread of Magic Mary on the front, all set up on our new Dual Chamber System.
The win was also Nico`s first ever win at an Enduro World Series Race with hopefully more to come!
I decided to try Nobby Nic on my rear wheel and straight away I felt the low
rolling and great grip. The cornering was as predictable as the Hans Dampf that I
ride most of the time on the rear, but braking and climbing traction was just
insane. My tires gave me the speed and confidence that I needed to fight for
the win!
