Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics
of a facility. A BIM is a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility forming a reliable
basis for decisions during its lifecycle from initial conception to demolition. The concept of BIM was
started in the !"#$s. The %ong &ong Institute of Building Information Modelling (%&IBIM) was
established in '$$". Building(mart %ong &ong was inaugurated in %ong &ong in late April '$!). The
%ong &ong %ousing Authority set a target of full BIM implementation in '$!*+'$!,.
-ith the aim of introducing the education and training of BIM in I./0 as well as its de1elopment and
applications in construction pro2ects0 our 3/( is organising a (eminar on BIM 4e1elopment with the
