Noah and the Flood


This is the second Circulating File in a series on the Old Testament. The first, A
Theory of Creation, parallels the story of Creation given in the Bible.

In the first pages, an approximate historical date of the Flood is given. This flood
is pointed out as being a turning point in the souls continuing experience in materiality.

Assurance is given that the deluge was not a myth, but a purposeful happening to
require mans return to dependency, mentally and physically, upon God.

This compilation continues with the life reading of Noah, who was of the lineage
of Adam and a man perfect in his generation.

Life readings of eight members of Noahs family are included. The regrouping of
souls in cyclic patterns is shown in this study, and can be seen reflected throughout the
readings, in families of all sizes.

There are also two life readings for individuals who had incarnations at the time
of the Tower of Babel.

Included in this file is an Index which gives a quick overview of main thoughts
for each excerpt.

There are also two special features which broaden the understanding of the

NOAH - 1. Noah, rest The name is explained in Gn 5(29) by a play on niham, to comfort; but
perhaps the reading supported by the LXX should be adopted, This same shall give us rest. In
one tradition Noah is the hero of the Flood, and answers to Ut-napishtim in the Babylon legend.
See DELUGE. Ut-napishtim was translated to immorality; and this is perhaps referred to in 6(9b)
(cf 5[24] and see ENOCH). In another tradition he is the discoverer of the art of making wine
(9[20-27]). Elsewhere in the Bible, besides the references to the Flood, Noah is mentioned in 1
Ch 1[4], Ezk 14[14,20], Lk 3 [36], 2. No ah (Nu 26[33] 27[1] 36[11], Jos 17[3]. One of the
daughters of Zelophehad, of the tribe of Manasseh. They claimed their fathers inheritance
because he had died leaving no sons. It was given to them, on condition that they were not
married into another tribe.

DELUGE. - 1. The Biblical story, Gn 6[5]-9[17] [6[1-4] is probably a separate tradition,
unconnected with the Deluge (see Driver, Genesis, p. 82)]. The two narratives of J and P have
been combined; the verses are assigned by Driver as follows: J 6[5-8] 7[1-5, 7-10, 12], 1[6b],
17[b], 22 ,23 8[2a-3b], 6-12,13[b], 20-22; P 6[9-22] 7[6], 11,13-16[a], 17[a], 18-21, 24, 8[1],
2[a], 3[b]-5 ,13[a], 14-19 9[1-17]. J alone relates the sending out of the birds, and the sacrifice
with which Y is so pleased that He determines never again to curse the ground. P alone gives the
directions with regard to the size and construction of the Ark, the blessing of Noah, the
commands against murder and the eating of blood, and the covenant with the sign of the rainbow.
In the portions in which the two narratives overlap, they are at variance in the following points.
[a] In P one pair of every kind of animal (6[18-20]), in J one pair of the unclean and seven of the
clean (7[2f], are to be taken into the Ark. (In 7[9] a redactor has added the words two and two to
make Js representation conform to that of P). The reason for the difference is that according to P,
animals were not eaten at all till after the Deluge (9[3]), so that there was no distinction required
between clean and unclean. (b) In P the cause of the Deluge is not only rain but also the bursting
forth of the subterranean abyss(6[11]); J mentions rain only (v.12). (c) In P the water begins to
abate after 150 days (8[3]), the mountain tops are visible after 8 months and 13 days (7[11] 8[5]);
and the earth is dry after a year and 10 days (8[14]); in J the Flood lasts only 40 days (7[12]
8[14]), and the water had begun to abate before that.
2. The History of the story. Efforts to establish the historicity of the Flood by
archaeological discoveries are futile. Stories of the finding of remains of the Ark on Mount Ararat
crop up every now and then, but even if the finds themselves can ever be authenticated, there is
no evidence to connect them with Noahs Ark. Usually, indeed, the stories refute themselves by
presupposing things archaeologically impossible. More respectable claims have been made for
the thick layers of clay found in Babylonian excavations, particularly at Ur and Kish. That these
were deposited by flood is unquestionable, but they were not deposited by the same flood, since
they are demonstrably from different periods, and other sites in the region have no such deposits
from any of these periods. The inundations in question were, therefore evidently of a local nature.
The modem study of geology and comparative mythology has made it impossible to see in the
story of the Deluge the literal record of an historical event. The fact that marine fossils are found
on the tops of hills cannot be used as argument, for, though it proves that some spots which are
now at the tops of hills were at one time submerged, that is not equivalent to asserting that a flood
ever occurred which covered the whole planet-apart from the extreme improbability that the
submergence of mountains was within the period of mans existence. All the water in the world,
together with all the vapour if reduced to water, would not cover the whole earth to the height of

Mount Ararat The collection by Noah of a pair of every kind of animal, bird, and creeping thing,
which would include species peculiar to different countries from the arctic regions to the tropics,
is inconceivable. And no less so the housing of them all in a single chest, the feeding and care of
them by eight persons, the arrangements to prevent their devouring one another, and the provision
of the widely diverse conditions of life necessary for creatures from different countries and
climates. From every point of view it is clear that the story is legendary, and similar in character
to the legends which are found in folk-lore of all peoples.
3. Other Flood-stories.- Such stories are found principally in America, but also in India,
Cashmir, Tibet, China, Kamschatka, Australia, some of the Polynesian Islands, Lithuania, and
Greece. In the great majority of cases the flood is caused by some startling natural phenomenon,
which often has a special connection with the locality to which it belongs; e.g. the melting of the
ice or snow, in the extreme N. of America; earthquakes, on the American coastlands where they
frequently occur; the submergence or emergence of islands, in districts liable to volcanic
eruptions; among inland peoples the cause is frequently the bursting of the banks of rivers which
have been swollen by rains. Sometimes the stories have grown up to account for various facts of
observation; e.g. the dispersion of peoples, and differences of language; the red colour, or the pale
colour, of certain tribes; the discovery of marine fossils inland, and so on. In some cases these
stories have been coloured by the Bible story, owing to the teaching of Christian missionaries in
modern times, and often mixed up with other Bible stories, and reproduced with grotesque details
by local adaptation. But there are very many which are quite unconnected with the story of Noah.
(For a much fuller discussion of the various flood stories see the valuable article Flood in
Hastings DB ii.). It is reasonable, therefore, to treat the Hebrew story as one of these old-world
legends, and to look for the cause of it in the natural features of the land which gave it birth. And
we are fortunate in the possession of an earlier form of the legend, which belongs to Babylonia,
and makes it probable that its origin is to be ascribed to the inundation of the large Babylonian
plain by the bursting forth of one of the rivers by which it is intersected, and perhaps also, as
some think, to the incursion of a tidal wave due to an earthquake somewhere in the South. This,
among a people whose world was bounded by very narrow limits, would easily be magnified in
oral tradition into a universal Deluge.
4. The Babylonian story.- (a) One form of the story has long been known from the
fragments of Berosus, an Egyptian priest of the 3rd cent. B.C. It differs in certain details from the
other form known to us; e.g. when the birds return the second time, clay is seen to be attaching to
their legs (a point which finds parallels in some N. American flood-legends); and not only the
hero of the story, Xisuthros, and his wife, but also his daughter and the pilot of the ship are
carried away by the gods.
(b) The other and more important form is contained in Akkadian cuneiform tablets in the
British Museum, first deciphered in 1872. It is part of an epic in 12 parts, each connected with a
sign of the Zodiac; the Flood story is the 11th, and is connected with Aquarius, the water bearer.
Gilgamesh of Uruk (Erech, Gn 10[10]), the hero of the epic, contrived to visit his ancestor Ut-
napishtim, who had received the gift of immortality. The latter is in one passage called Adra-
hasis, which being inverted as Hasis-adra appears in Greek as Xisuthros. He relates to Gilgamesh
how, for his piety, he had been preserved from a great, flood. When Bel and three other gods
determined to destroy Shurippak, a city lying on the Euphrates, Ea warned him to build a ship.
He built it 120 cubits in height and breadth with 6 decks, divided into 7 storeys, each with 9
compartments; it had a mast, and was smeared with bitumen. He took on board all his
possessions, the seed of life of every kind that I possessed, cattle and beasts of the field, his
family, servants, and craftsmen. He entered the ship and shut the door. Then Ramman the storm-
god thundered, and the spirits of heaven brought lightnings; the gods were terrified; they fled to
heaven, and cowered in a heap like a dog in his kennel. On the 7th day the rain ceased, and all
mankind were turned to clay. The ship grounded on Mount Nisir, E. of the Tigris, where it
remained 6 days. Then Ut-napishtim sent forth a dove, a swallow, and a raven, and the last did

not return. He then sent the animals to the four winds, and offered sacrifice on an altar at the top
of the mountain. The gods smelled the savour and gathered like flies. The great goddess Ishtar
lighted up the rainbow. She reproached Bel for destroying all mankind instead of one city only.
Bel, on the other hand, was angry at the escape of Ut-napishtim, and refused to come to the
sacrifice. But he was pacified by Ea, and at length entered the ship, and made a covenant with Ut-
napishtim, and translated him and his wife to the mouth of the rivers, and made them immortal.
The similarities to the Hebrew story, and the differences from it, are alike obvious. It
dates from at least 3000 B.C., and it would pass through a long course of oral repetition before it
reached the Hebrew form. And herein is seen the religious value of the latter. The genius of the
Hebrew race under Divine inspiration gradually stripped it of all its crude polytheism, and made it
the vehicle of spiritual truth. It teaches the unity and omnipotence of Y"; His hatred of sin and His
punishment of sinners; but at the same time His merciful kindness to them that obey Him, which
is shown in rescuing them from destruction, and in entering into a covenant with them.
5. It is strange that, apart from Gn 9[28] 10[1, 32] 11[10], there are only two allusions in
the OT to the Flood, Is 5[49] and Ps 29[10] (the latter uncertain; see commentaries). In the
Apocrypha: 2 Es 39[f], Wis 10[4], Sir 44[17f] (40[10] in LXX, but not in Hebrew). In the NT: Mt
24[38f], Lk 17[27], He 11[7], 1 P 3[20], 2 P 2[5].

For as has been given from the beginning, the deluge was not a myth (as many would
have you believe) but a period when man had so belittled himself with the cares of the
world, with the deceitfulness of his own knowledge and power, as to require that there be
a return to his dependence wholly - physically and mentally - upon the Creative Forces.

(Q) In relation to the history of Atlantis as presented, at what period did the flood as
recorded in the Bible in which Noah took part, occur?
(A) In the second of the eruptions, or - as is seen -

two THOUSAND - two-two thousand
and six [22, 006?] - before the Prince of Peace, as time is counted now, or light years -
day and night years. Not light years as the akashic records, or as the esoteric records, or
as counted by astrology or astronomy, in the speed or the reflection of a ray of light; for,
as records are made, the akashic records are as these:

Activity of ANY nature, as of the voice, as of a light made, produced in the natural forces
those of a motion - which pass on, or are upon, the record of that as time. As may be
illustrated in the atomic vibration as set in motion for those in that called the audition, or
the radio in its activity. IT passes even faster than time itself. Hence LIGHT forces pass
much faster, but the records are upon the esoteric, or etheric, or akashic forces, as they go
along upon the wheels of time, the wings of time, or in WHATEVER dimension we may
signify as a matter of its momentum or movement. Hence as the forces that are attuned to
those various incidents, periods, times, places, may be accorded to the record, the
CONTACT as of the needle upon the record, as to how clear a rendition or audition is
received, or how clear or how perfect an attunement of the instrument used as the
reproducer of same is attuned to those KEEPERS - as may be termed - OF those records.
What would be indicated by the keepers? That as just given, that they are the records
upon the wings or the wheel of time itself. Time, as that as of space - as inter-between.
That inter-between, that which is, that of which, that from one object to another when in
matter is of the same nature, or what that is is what the other is, only changed in its
vibration to produce that element, or that force, as is termed in man's terminology as
DIMENSIONS of space, or DIMENSIONS that give it, whatever may be the solid,
liquid, gas, or what ITS FORM or dimension!

3. In interpreting the records made by the entity, it is with the desire and hope that
these may be applied in the present in such a manner as to bring peace and harmony, and
the answering within of the desires and purposes for sojourns through material
experiences.

4. Then in the presenting more of the activities of the entity through the Atlantean-
Egyptian experience, something of the background - or that might be called history of the
period or time - would be well; that the entity might see as to how those experiences may
be said to fit that as the entity finds about self even in the present.

5. For if time and space become nil when the spiritual purpose of an entity is
considered, then we are what we are because of what we have been.

6. And if that has been constructive, or of a creative nature in the experience, and
carried a conviction or purpose in which self has been spent, then such may still be a
portion of the real entity in the present.

7. For only good, or purposefulness, lives on; for it is a part of the eternal oneness
- or at-onement with the purposes of Creative Energies or Forces.

8. In that sojourn, then, we find that Assen-ni was of the children of the Law of
One; with the children of Belial as the negative influence or force among the children of
men.

9. And there was the realization by Assen-ni that those who had been born were
through no fault of their own being used as creatures for exploitation; and that through
the very influence and power of the children of Belial the Creative Energies were being
used for destructive purposes - or as cloaks behind which their activities might be carried
on.

10. Thus those disintegrations were brought about that were so well given in the
injunctions later written in the admonitions to Abraham, to Jacob, to Moses, to Elijah, to
Joshua, to all the children of promise - of which we have records.

11. And if the entity will interpret the admonitions of Moses, much of that which is
THE INNER BASIC PRINCIPLE of the entity may be found.

12. With the realization of the children of the Law of One that there was to be the
final breaking up of the Poseidian-Atlantean lands, there were the emigrations with many
of the leaders to the various lands.

5. But first let's begin with that premise from which there is a reasoning. And, as
is well or better understood by the entity, owing to its material experiences through the
sojourns in the earth of such a varied nature, all must answer to a something within -
before it may be made a part of the entity and the entity's experiences.

6. Each soul as it has entered and does enter into material manifestation is to fulfill
a purpose, with the Creative Forces or God. For He hath not willed that any soul should
perish, but hath with every temptation, every fault, prepared a way, a manner, an
opportunity for the entity to become as one with Him.

7. For that is the purpose of the soul's being in the beginning. Hence without
beginning, without end.

8. Hence as we find, when souls sought or found manifestation in materiality by
the projection of themselves into matter - as became thought forms - and when this had so
enticed the companions or souls of the Creator, first we had then the creation in which
God breathed into man (God-made) the breath of life and he became a living soul,
with the abilities to become godlike.

9. Hence we find the first preparation or estate, or manner in which those souls
might through material manifestation acclaim - by the living, by the being - that which
was and is and ever will be consistent with the purposes of creation - was given into the
estate of man. [Atlantis?]

10. The entity was among those first who through those channels came into
consciousness, awareness of the relationships of the material man to the Creative Forces;
that came into material activity during the early portions of man's CONSCIOUSNESS of
being an independent entity, or body, in a material existence. [Atlantis?]

11. Thence we find the entity passing through those experiences, becoming rather
aware, with the sons of those activities in the experiences when all thought forms in
matter were put away - through the experience of Noah. [2nd destruction of Atlantis
portion by flood?]

4. Those things as concern each individual should be set forth in the literature that
may be sent to all such individuals; for many will be interested - many will laugh at such
endeavors; yet same was true even when Noah was called into the ark.

1. [Life Reading Suggestion: You will give the relation of this entity and the
universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent
and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving
time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development
for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and
how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we are given the records here of that entity now known as or called
[2547].

3. In giving the interpretations of the records here, for this entity the greater
portion in the present would be as counsel to those responsible for the training, the
developing of those abilities - spiritually, mentally - that are apparent in the activities of
this entity; that it may better fulfill those purposes for which it entered this experience.

4. Fortunate indeed may be those who have a part in the formulating of the ideals
of this entity in the present. For he will formulate ideas for many, no matter in what turn
the activities may be. But if these are guided in those channels through which the
activities of this entity have been in the earth plane, we will find the GLORIFYING of
the Christ-Consciousness in manifested manners of spiritual activity that has not been
seen since the entity in its expression in the earth gave counsel to the many.

5. Astrologically we find little influences in the experience of this entity. For, the
activities in the earth have so outweighed, outnumbered those. And no individual entity
save the Master himself has given greater material demonstration of the activities of the
spiritual forces in the earth of EVERY nature.

6. Astrologically, then, we find only the latent dreams of the entity. For, the
manifestations in the earth plane have been so outstanding; in the period before this as a
reformer, a Scotchman.

7. Hence we will find unusual, characteristics in the care the entity takes of certain
things about it, and in others as an extremist in his expression, in his words, in the
contemplation of his activities.

8. But these need spiritual guidance, - not that the entity is to be PROMPTED. For
the entity will do most of the prompting, if it is guided in those activities that are to be the
formulated ideals of the developing mind.

9. Thus it should be trained in spiritual truths. Most of these the entity will give
expression to, in the attempt to direct. And little may be told the entity of the stories of
the Scripture that it cannot tell you more than you will tell the entity! But there should
not be a forcing of the issue; rather let there be a NORMAL development.

10. DO NOT QUESTION the entity as to the sources of his information. DO NOT
CORRECT the entity as to that given, but keep a detailed record of what is given.

11. Do not impress or give the impression that the entity is different from other
individuals.

12. DO have the development physically AND spiritually as one.

13. In giving this interpretation, then, these are the activities of the entity in the
earth plane that we would give as the background; not appearances in great number.
Thus the entity is a dreamer, and at times quite talkative, at others very quiet.

14. The entity does not know the meaning of stranger, yet is one that analyzes
every individual it meets.

15. As to the appearances in the earth, then, - these, as indicated, have been few.

16. Before this the entity was in the Scotch land. The entity began its activity as a
prodigy, as one already versed in its associations with the unseen - or the elemental
forces; the fairies and those of every form that do not give expression in a material way
and are only seen by those who are attuned to the infinite.

17. Then the entity in the developing was in the name Thomas Campbell, the
reformer in the land of the present nativity; which, as combined later with Barton Stone,
brought into activity that known as a denomination.

18. The intent and purpose was to UNIFY all Protestant thought, speaking where
the Book spoke, keeping silent where it kept silent upon the activities or associations of
individuals in relationships to groups or to masses.

19. Hence the entity throughout its experience was not disposed to be other than a
speaker.
20. And the abilities as a speaker, as a minister, will be a part of those faculties,
characteristics, that should be considered as the entity develops normally.

21. Do not allow the entity, in the first ten to twelve years, to get away from the
spiritual truths in the Old and the New Testaments; not as an ism, not as a cult. For it will
be easy for a cult, an ism, to be formed about the entity and its prognostications. But
rather let it be as one glorifying the truths that are promised in the thirtieth of
Deuteronomy, and in the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th chapters of John. These impress.
Accredit the entity's abilities to these sources. When there are questions as to the source
from which the entity obtains its information, agree that it comes from the infinite. For,
these are the developments.

22. For, before that the entity was that one upon whom the mantle of Elijah fell, -
who in his material activity performed more unusual acts, or miracles, that are only
comparable with the Master himself.

23. The entity then as Elisha brought into the experience much that was of the
unusual in expression.

24. So in the present, in the experiences of this entity, there may be expected just as
unusual expression; as those coming to the entity to receive the blessings from the
handkerchief, the photograph even, or those things that the entity may touch or bless.

25. But let these be as NATURAL sources, NOT as something unusual. For,
remember - those that have the training - those whom the Lord would honor He
chasteneth.

26. These, then, are the manners: Let each day be an opportunity - not in coddling,
not drastic measures, but loving - as an honor, as a privilege to be appreciated and active,
- in that there may come those blessings to the entity.

27. Here we may see a demonstration, an illustration of that which has been
indicated or intimated through these channels, as of a PERFECT channel being formed
for the advent of an entity-soul that would bring blessings to all - IF there is the directing
of the developing years.

28. The responsibility, then, rests with the mother, the father, for the next eight
years. There will then be given, here, those studies. For, it will be easy to teach him
Greek. It will be easy to teach him those things that were portions of the activity.

29. For, before THAT the entity was that one to whom was entrusted man's advent
into the world - Noah.

30. From this we find those weaknesses. Then, not as one refraining from those,
but beware ever of any strong drink or fruit of the vine passing the lips of THIS entity -
through these early periods, especially.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal
forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present
life, also the former appearances in the earth plane; giving time, place and the name, and
that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities
of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the
questions, as I ask them:

3. Yes, we are given the record here of that entity now known as or called [2627].

4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, many phases of
the entity's development through material sojourns, as well as the activities of the soul
entity in the interims, must be taken into consideration - if this would be a helpful
experience for the entity.

5. But these we choose with the desire and hope that this may enable the entity to
better fulfill that purpose for which it chose entrance in this special experience.

6. For, in the present, there are the needs - such needs - for soul or spirit evaluation
in the daily application of what may at times become burdensome associations with
individuals in various phases of material experiences.

7. In interpreting the activities, the information as may be of help is - as in thine
own experience - to minimize the faults in others, magnify their virtues. For, with what
measure ye mete, with what judgement ye condemn or laud, it is measured to thee again.

8. For, as ye do it unto thy fellow man, so ye do unto thy Maker.

9. In the latent and manifested urges that arise in the experience of this entity,
those sojourns that are termed astrological aspects become a part of latent urges,
opportunities, periods when activity - from the determination in spirit - has found
lodgement in those faculties of an individual entity, that may the easier find expression.

10. Thus, there are those accredited influences from the zodiacal experience or
planetary influence. These do not surpass the will of an entity, and - as indicated in the
experience of this entity - naturally or innately, as well as manifestedly:

11. One who analyzes from those experiences produced in self or others from the
activities.

12. One that finds the needs of direction, but desires to choose the more often its
own experience. For, being an Atlantean as well as an Uranian, we find extremes at
times play the greater influence in the urges, the desires, the choices even made.

13. Not that the entity becomes too highly emotional, but DOES at times become
involved in the PROMPTING of the emotion; whether - as to whether same is of self,
selfishness, or that it may be well-spoken of by others. This IS well if there is innately, in
the determined factors of the entity, a basic principle upon which such choices, such
emotions in their material expression, may be founded.

14. Astrologically, or from the planetary forces, we find Mercury, Venus, Jupiter,
Uranus and Saturn all have a part. Not combined, yet oft as a complementary influence,
as well as the abstract in other experiences.

15. Those about the entity soon learn this from the manner in which the entity
reacts to conditions or problems in the entity's experience, and it is oft observed when the
entity is not aware that there has been such a manifestation.

16. In Mercury we find the high mental abilities.

17. We find in Venus the appreciation of beauty, of nature, of nature's storehouse,
those products of the soil; those that combine good, beauty AND its effect FROM nature
in the activity of the mental forces of the associates.

18. In Jupiter we find the benevolent influence for the entity. And when there are
those astrological aspects that indicate Leo or Libra is in conjunction with the forces as
indicated upon earthly influences from the Jupiterian, then act; not when they are in
Saturn or Uranus. One will cause to overdo, the other to underdo those opportunities or
possibilities in the material activities.

19. The Jupiterian influence brings the associations with others; as Uranus brings
those extremes that have an influence upon the manner of the mental reaction of the
entity, as well as the filial, as well as martial relationships in the entity's influence.

20. Saturn brings the many changes that have been in the present experience, as
also indicated in such a VARIED activity as the entity has manifested in the material
world; bringing what might be called an old soul, for it has manifested not only in those
influences in the earth for good but in those that have been questioned by man. Yet the
intent and purpose, the hope, the desire never began in such a purport - or purported
activity; influenced rather by circumstance.

21. Thus that extreme that arises in the necessity, then, to reason with others,
counsel with self. Oft turn to that spiritual import as so well applied, especially in the
associations when the earth depended much upon the activities of the entity, physically as
well as mentally and spiritually, for what it would become.

22. For, the entity was among those eight souls saved for a definite purpose, and
brought that influence in the earth that is today that source from which spiritual and
mental advance has been kept toward that more commonly termed the more civilized of
the groups or individuals.

23. But, as to the appearances in the earth, - these, as indicated, have been quite
varied, and at times questioned. Not all of the appearances are given here, but those that
apply in the present to those associates, those activities needed for the entity to find self
and its relationships to groups, to individuals.

24. Before this, then, the entity was in the land of the present nativity, but in the
southern portion - or Louisiana.

25. There, as the brother of Jean Lefitt [Lafitte - see 2627-1, Par. R1], the entity
became so involved as to bring not only condemnation to self from many, but
disappointments in self. For, though the world looked on the entity as piratical, or a pirate
in some respects, these grew out of circumstance, and not of purpose in self.

26. Hence the entity finds in the present that SELF is the greatest combating factor,
as to the abilities to choose directions in the activities in relation to conditions and its
relationships to others. Not of choice of associates, not of its purpose as it desires to do,
but manner of application of that purpose.

27. Hold fast to that purpose as prompted the first activities in that land; the use of
the soil for those developments in its supplying the needs to man, not as man to be
complied by same, as eventually became the material activity.

28. In the experience the entity gained, the entity lost, the entity eventually gained
again - though through material suffering, through material hardships.

29. Thus the entity has chosen those environs in which, as will be seen,
circumstance has brought the entity into relationships again with many with whom the
entity was associated AS an influence for (mentally called) evil; while spiritually much
was and is a cleansing.

30. Hence we find abilities of the entity will and should have to do with the things
of the soil, with the products of nature, for not only sustenance - not merely sustenance;
but look upon same as upon the supply. For, that which in nature aids the individual man
to FULFIL HIS purpose towards the Creative Influences, or God, is fulfilling its mission
in the material world. As the product, the fruit of soil, - its purpose is to supply the
physical strength for man's sustenance, and is in spirit of the same source as the spirit of
man.

31. Then, give that import as ye supply that which aids the plant, the animal, the
tree, nature itself, to better give greater sustenance, greater strength, greater purpose for
its MATERIAL manifestation in the earth. This will enable the entity to keep that
balance. For, know - the silver and the gold is the Lord's, the cattle on a thousand hills is
His. These are lent to thee that ye may use that substance as unto GLORY of God, not
gratifying of self-indulgence nor of self-glorification.

32. Before that the entity was in the Roman, Palestine, Grecian and Archean (?)
land; that one who truly, it may be said, gave the emphasis to the statement: He that
serves Rome the better is the greater Roman of all.

33. It was during those activities in that period of the expansion, when Caesar
Augustus made those attempts to UNIFY the service for peoples in every land; following
closely in purpose that as had been the ideal materially of the emperor Xerxes and Midias
(?).
34. This was that there was innate in the soul of man the ability to rule himself and
his household, either for weal or woe, but the privilege of such, of doing such, should be
the privilege of groups, of masses, - yea, of the individual.

35. Thus the entity in its service, in its activity, made those expansions in the
correct directions. However, these brought disturbing to many - for some groups, whose
purpose, whose ideals were self-indulgence, self-laudation, that it might be the better
spoken of, or considered the greater influence for those activities that made their
impressions upon groups. These brought some disturbing factors in the lives of many.

36. The entity served as that counselor to those placed in authority in the varied
lands, for the gathering of taxes; not as taxes, according to the entity's purpose, but that
the various groups might contribute to that purpose that was the prompting of the entity's
emperor.

37. The name then was Philo, and the entity brought great advancements; yet, as
indicated by the next appearance, fell - by circumstance - into that very slough of despair
that it attempted to point a great empire away from.

38. Hence the extremes that have been, the ability the entity will find in the present
to become a leader, a director of groups who would make the application of spirituality in
a practical, everyday life; as may enable groups to induce the soil to supply that which is
its privilege - a blessing to its Maker.

39. Before that we find there was the experience of the greater period of
development for the entity in the material world.

40. For we find the entity, as the son of Noah, chose the better way for transmitting
in fact, in activity, to his peoples after the sojourn in the ark, not only the needs for the
establishing of homes but of home altars, and the uniting of those home altars in a group,
a nation, a national activity.

41. The name then was Japheth. In the experience the beauty of the
companionship, of the entity's activities, not only before but after the period of
preparation and throughout the sojourn, found its expression and activity in that channel
through which the hope of the world did and has come again.

42. Thus in the present may the entity, with those associations, those
companionships, bring - has brought - an activity which may add to that harmony in the
material world, that will again SING - as the entity did through that period of activity -
the realm of the infinite made manifest in man's heart, man's purpose, man's joy.

43. Leave aside, then, those things that would easily beset, knowing thy purpose
and thy ideal, thy IDEAL, - physically, mentally, spiritually. Know that all that takes
place or that takes form in the mind is prompted either by the spirit of truth or the spirit of
rebellion. Which WILL YE choose?

44. Know the ideal, then, must be as was manifest in Him, who gave, If ye love
me, ye will keep my commandments - and I will come and abide with thee. That
promise is in spirit, is in truth.

45. Hence those as this entity may bring, with its companionship - as did bring, as
did keep the home fire bright to the altar of the Lord - may bring again to man, in those
activities in the earth, that of a joy. Not easy from the material angle, unless that ideal is
held aloft in spirit, in mind, in material things.

46. Before that the entity was in the Atlantean land, when there were those periods
of necessity of the groups being separated, owing to the upheavals as were being brought
by the sons of Belial - in using spiritual forces for self-gratification, self-indulgence.

47. The entity was among the children of the Law of One, and among those that
went first to the Pyrenees, then to the Egyptian land; where there were, with those periods
of purification, the attempts of the teacher or leader to unify the activities.

48. And under the varied groups that bound themselves for a single purpose for the
establishing materially of the things that be of God, the entity joined there in a service
that brought the abilities of that land to produce those products that became the activities
which have preserved the records later of that land.

49. The name then was Ash-tep.

50. As to the abilities of the entity, then, in the present, and that to which it may
attain, and how:

51. First, study to show thyself approved unto thy ideal, rightly dividing, rightly
emphasizing the words of truth; keeping self from condemnation, of self or of others.

52. In those fields of service and in the activities with the soil, with the products of
the soil, with those groups that would make practical not merely by theory but by
LIVING practical spiritual evolution, do we find the abilities of the entity in the present.

53. Ready for questions.

54. (Q) In farming, what should my emphasis be on?
(A) Each product is to supply certain elements to the body of man; not by man's
changing same, but that purpose the Creator gave it as food, as a supply to man's physical
need IN even a changing world. Thus the stress should be upon each product being given
ITS opportunity for fulfilling its mission in relationship to man; or the study of the soil as
to how BETTER to produce grasses, vegetables, fruits, berries or the like; or to supply
the elements in the animal kingdom - as of the pig or the cow; that its flesh, its milk, may
have those elements NECESSARY for supplying to man that which has its spiritual value
and not in a cantankerous or a diffusing manner. For, as man assimilates in the mind, so
it assimilates in the spirit. That is why the entity in its experience with its associates
when leaving the ark, found it necessary for taking these things into consideration - as to
those very necessary elements.

55. (Q) What have been my associations in the past with, - first, my wife, [2425]?
(A) The greater experience, the greater advancement is in that innate or soul
urge from that period in the ark.

56. (Q) My son, [2607]?
(A) These will best be found by paralleling. But in the Roman experience the
son was then rather one in authority over the entity. Also there were associations in the
Atlantean-Egyptian experience, as well as in a Persian experience not urging the entity in
the present.

57. (Q) My mother, [2174]?
(A) In the Roman as well as the Egyptian-Atlantean. Counseled together oft;
sat upon more than once, but proved worthy. Do so again.

58. (Q) [2615]?
(A) Closest association in the one before this, from which there may be found
at present great differences, - but spiritual purposes and ideals may be one.

Let thy meditation oft be that even as ye did upon the hills in Ararat:

9. In choosing the interpretations here, the desire is to awaken more those abilities
latent, - that arise from the entity's own spiritual or soul development.

10. Know that the power lies latent within self, and may find expression through
whatever channel is chosen; for the response is found in self through the expression of
the sensory or emotional forces of the body.

11. Hence these activities, of whatever nature, must be interpreted within self, and
not imposed upon others, - any more than would the growth of the flower (as the symbol)
in shedding its aroma, its seed, for WHATEVER source that may choose to benefit
therefrom.

12. Then, in interpreting the records, two channels of urges arise - as indicated -
that are related to material experience.

13. The body in analyzing itself finds a physical, a mental and a spiritual body.
Thus there may be the questioning as to why two phases of urges arise. These, as will be
seen, are as the cause and effect in materiality, or the body and mind - choosing from
SPIRITUALITY.

14. For, the ideal that is chosen - in whatever consciousness an entity may find
itself - is acted upon by that embraced, as well as that done ABOUT that conceded as
truth.

15. Thus we find the astrological sojourns of the entity-consciousness, as well as
the material sojourns from which the physical urges arise, have their phase. By
astrological sojourns we mean those phases of our - or the entity's own - sun's environ.

16. Thus to each consciousness there has been accredited certain influences in
which the astrological aspects become a part; not because of this or that position of a
planet at the entity's birth, or any particular phase of the consciousness or of the urges,
but because of the environmental force in that consciousness.

17. As we find, then, - the entity is influenced by Uranus, Mercury and Venus;
Jupiter and Saturn, with Mars.

18. Hence the high regard for the occult and mystical forces, or the influences or
development of psychic abilities; as well as the high mental abilities from Mercury.

19. Thus the entity is a reasoner within self's OWN right, yet with the environs of
Mars at times it is easily upset.

20. The influence of Jupiter is rather the not caring, but influenced BY what the
great consciousness of masses may think or do.

21. Hence at times - rather at those periods when the influences of Saturn's forces
have been or are a part of the experience - the entity finds it does consider what others
say.

22. Venus brings the great love life. For, as has been and as will be the experience,
all who come in contact with the entity will learn much of the benevolent, beneficent,
beautiful influence of love and what it may do.

23. Many, even from the consciousness of meeting the entity, may be able to
interpret some phases of their own physical as well as mental and spiritual love life. For,
remember, love - as a soul, as an entity, yea as a physical body - IS! For, is not God
love?

24. Hence, - dependent upon their material, mental, spiritual or soul development, -
it finds many phases or states of consciousness, or being - that called love.

25. In the entity's experience this is a great part of its consciousness, its experience.
From the latent influences, there is not always the peace from same, not always the joy;
yet it is an influence that may be made to be the greater motivative power in its present
experience of the entity.

26. Abilities as a home maker, as an artist in many senses, abilities of
companionship, abilities as a speaker and as a writer, all arise from that phase of the
entity's character - or being, rather.

27. Then, in giving the urges which arise from the material sojourns, - it will be
found that these will at times appear to conflict with the latent or soul urge. Thus, by
many students of occult science or force, it may be indeed said that the entity is an OLD
soul; though all souls, to time, are as one, - even as love, as life, is one. And in physical
consciousness, it is according to what an individual entity has done or does do about such
an awareness, such a consciousness OF this state of being in any or all of these, that gives
even the words to say, or to be classified in any such manner.

28. Thus it may be determined that the entity has used the material as well as the
astrological sojourns as an active entity, and we find same manifested in the very BEING
of the entity in the present.

29. For, whether it is to the senses of the physical being as arise from the
awarenesses of the sensory forces, or from the deeper inner consciousness, the entity is
ever aware, alive to the awarenesses about the entity.

30. Hence it may be said that the entity is supersensitive to its environs, physical, -
just as experienced in the sojourn before this in the material plane.

31. For, the entity before this was in that land now known as Delaware, during
those periods when there were activities in which there were the political factions and
factors having to do with this land of the entity's present sojourn coming into being as a
separate or as a definite country, or government.

32. The entity in its present sex, though not outspoken in activities, was among
those who wielded an influence in the affairs of those about them, that prompted the
associates, the friends of the entity to be among the first to declare themselves FREE and
independent.

33. The name then was Margaret Weiss. In the experience the entity was not only
a home builder, but a state and a nation builder.

34. Hence we find in the present experience of the entity that it takes very sudden,
very definite stands as to its beliefs in this or that activity in which others may be
engaged; not merely respecting the home or the state or nation, but as to associations
even and their influence or activity in relationships to questions, - whether they be
pertaining to a mental or a material development for others.

35. Before that - which has again come as an urge in the present experience of the
entity - we find that the entity was in that land now called by some the Promised Land,
during those days when there was the looking forward to the channels through which
there was expected to be the coming of the Messiah.

36. The entity was among those of that group chosen as ones to present themselves
as a channel worthy of acceptance to be such.

37. Hence in its youth, as well as through those periods of girlhood, motherhood,
the entity knew many of those who were so active - as was the entity - in those periods
for a DEFINITE religious experience, as would be called today.

38. The entity then was of that sect or group known as the Essenes, and of those
who were of the house of David, but of the kinship little to Joseph or Mary - and yet of
those same groups.

39. The entity was among those who saw that vision on the stairs, when the first
choice of the maidens was made. The entity knew then of the voice of the unseen forces
as were aroused within the groups, that made for the speaking with the unusual tongues;
not unknown yet unusual tongues, or the ability to make known their wishes to many in
many tongues.

40. Throughout that experience the entity gained, though - as many that were of
definite groups that set metes and bounds for their activities in relation to groups or
masses, or even individuals - there were periods when the entity doubted.

41. But with the advancing of the activities which brought about the fulfilling to
the entity of the various experiences, that answered to all phases of not only the material
but the spiritual and mental phenomena, the entity was a believer, and among those who
in the last day stood at the Cross.

42. The name then was Sophie.

43. As to the activities in the present, - let those things which have and do come be
controlled by what thy ancestors have given as religious experiences, and not merely
phenomena. For, phenomena - or phenomenon - is but an awakening to that in which
there ARE to be choices of activity upon the part of the self, and is as an assurance and
not to be boasted of, nor to be other than that of the ANSWERING to that within. For,
thy body - as ye experienced then - is indeed the temple of the living God, and there He
hath promised to meet thee. There His awareness - even as then - may be seen, may be
heard, may be felt, may be tasted - yea, experienced in all manners; but the reality is to
self, not to others.

44. For, of thyself ye may do nothing; but as His spirit, His truth may work in and
through thee, ye may indeed be a channel, a blessing, a way for others to become aware
of THEIR relationship also to that divine experience.

45. Before that the entity was in the Persian land, during those activities when the
entity came to know of the teachings of that teacher in the city in the hills and the
plains.

46. The entity asked for and sought the meanings of those undertakings there. In
those periods the entity became aware of those activities as tenets that were made
practical experiences in the lives of many.

47. Then in the name Zanzeba, the entity gained, the entity lost. The entity gained
in the seeking, the entity lost when the application was turned to that of self-gain for
position or for fame.

48. In the present experience, let that lesson be practiced, Seek and ye shall find,
knock and it will be opened unto thee. But know the ideal, and that the application is for
others rather than for self.

49. Before that the entity was in that activity when there were those preparations
for changes being wrought in the relationships of Creative Forces with the sons of men.

50. The entity was among those, or that one chosen by Japheth as the companion in
the ark.

51. With the relationships to that activity, the entity finds within self the visions of
changes, in the relationships that are again soon to be established by and through the
elements themselves in their dealing with man and Creative Forces or God's laws.

52. The name then was Rezepatha.

53. To be sure, many other experiences in the earthly sojourns may at times
become a part of the entity's awarenesses or consciousnesses; as there is caught the vision
in some. But these are here given that there may be the greater awareness of thy purposes
to fulfill that He would have thee do.

54. As to the abilities in the present, then:

55. These lie in whatever direction the entity may choose; and these should be
rather chosen as definite activities, - a home, a teacher, a writer, an artist. This fourfold
life should be the outlets, as it were, one with the other; that there may be the greater
appreciation of the abilities, - yea the virtues of the entity, - without the self growing
weary in any.

56. Study then, first, to know what is thy ideal, - physically, mentally, spiritually;
the ideal relationship of God to man, of man to God; the ideal relationship of home, of
neighbor, of friend, of foe. These not as to what others would be, but thy relationship in
each of these phases of man's experience.

57. And then know that these are that activity in which ye shall judge thy own
relationship to others.

58. Study to show thyself approved, then, unto God; a workman not ashamed but
rightly interpreting, rightly placing the accent, the emphasis, upon the various phases of
thy endeavor; and keeping self so attuned to Creative Force and Law that others may
never find aught for which to censure thee.

60. (Q) Is there any reason I should not conceive a child now? What can I do to
help me in this?
(A) No. This, as we find, needs only that care, that attention which was given
as a part of thy development through that Palestine period; that is: a body strong in the
activity of accomplishments in physical strength, a mind attuned to Creative Forces, and
an attitude of:

(A) Thy body is the temple. THERE He hath promised to meet thee. Be not

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the
universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in
the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the
name and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving
the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer
the questions as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we are given the records here of that entity now known as or called
[5367].

3. In giving an interpretation of the records, there is much from which to choose.
These we choose with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the
entity enabling it to better fulfill the purposes for which it entered this sojourn.

4. There may be many unusual inferences in this experience for the entity, for the
entity was a man in the experience before this and hence in many respects has most of the
characteristics - not as mannish - but in the ability to be self-sufficient in itself. These are
commendable provided they are not allowed to run to such measures as to be
disregarding of others' feelings, of others' love, or other's hopes, of others' desires for
good.

5. In analyzing the experience, then, of the entity and the urges which are latent
and manifested, these arise, not only from the urges from the experiences in the earth, for
to the entity there have been many, though not all will be indicated here - only the
pattern.

6. Also urges are indicated from those experiences of the entity in the interims
between the sojourns in the earth, and thus we find an entity who - not double-minded -
yet has a great deal of trouble at times discerning between that which may be as the
dreams of the entity and that which is reality, and yet an individual who is sensitive, and
this entity is supersensitive at times, as will be seen from the application of self in
relationships to spiritual things, mental things, and material things. While the entity
ordinarily would be called rather material-minded, yet the entity deep within itself is far
from being a material-minded individual.

7. Abilities in certain directions are indicated especially in the experiences of the
entity, not only from the sojourns in the earth, but from the experiences in the realms
between same. For astrologically, we find Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Uranus,
Saturn all are parts of the experience. Not as is ordinarily termed in astrological aspects
but rather from consciousness of the soul-entity, and remember the soul never forgets.
For it is eternal. For the entity finds itself when it begins to analyze self, a physical being
with the attributes of a physical body, with the emotions of the body regarding
procreation, regarding relationships with individuals; those tendencies, urges and feelings
which arise from a purely mental-body, as well as something deeper still, a soul-body.
Thus each of these have their attributes. They have their limitations in materiality, no
limitation of the soul or mind in spirituality but in materiality they reach limitations
because of lack of means of expression.

8. The entity is especially gifted in ability to write. Do write. Write those
interesting experiences of the realm of the spiritual, in the realm of the unusual, but not
spiritualism or spiritism, but spirituality and the working of the spirit of truth in the mind
and in the hearts and in the lives of individuals, in the lives of groups, in the lives of
families, in the lives of nations. These should be the character of the writing of the entity.
Not as of any specific groups, as a mystic or as a Rosicrucian or a Unity, or as a New
Thought, as Divine Science, but rather the soul as a corpuscle in the body of God. This
the entity may expand upon the rest of the next four years and then find itself famous if it
would apply it in its daily dealings with others as it writes such. For in the beginning
God said, Let there be light. Ye, [5367], are one of those sparks of light with all the
ability of creation, with all the knowledge of God. Will ye claim it and will ye apply it in
thy daily life? Not, then, as one to mystify but to show love. Even as He, who hath not
willed that any soul should perish, for it is the spark of the corpuscle in the body of God,
as thyself. So are thy neighbors, so are thy enemies; so are thy friends, treat them as
such. For they have the abilities even as thou; not as much light may have been shed on
them or perhaps they have not used such, but rather abused the privilege.

9. Thus may the entity accomplish; thus may it give to its fellow man an insight,
not knowledge but an insight into the knowledge which may be attained in just being
patient, in just being kind, in just being longsuffering, in just being consistent. For that is
the fault in the entity, as in every soul who has sought, who seeks gratifying only of an
earthly appetite.

10. As to the appearances in the earth, these again mean little, though many have
been the experiences of the entity, as:

11. Before this we find the entity was in the opposite sex and in those periods when
there were those preparations for maintaining and carrying on the attempts of a nation, of
a people, to free itself from oppression, and that has been and is a purpose in the entity's
self in the present; free from want; free from persecution; free from jealousies; free from
hates. These the entity seeks innately deep within itself, as it did in the experience before
this as Samuel Gospweed. In the experience the entity supplied much which was
strengthening to the man called the father of this country. These again may the entity
use as the background of this, thy soul, a corpuscle in the body of God, as the man who
knelt in the snow to pray that God would take those poor, ragged men, supplied by
Samuel Gospweed, and that as food was supplied by him there might be that purpose to
give strength, and it did.

12. Thus does the entity find itself favored, and yet in same hath given up the
ability in body to reproduce, save when in association with one in the opposite sex in the
experience before that. These lacks become problems in the entity at times, yet these in
themselves should give the entity the ability to visualize for others that their souls are but
an atom, a corpuscle, in the body of the universal God.

13. Before that we find the entity was in the Holy Land when there were those
teachers who were following in the footsteps of the son of man, even one Jesus of
Nazareth.

14. The entity was one who in the period was used by others to interpret for men
seeking material gain who were rebuked by Peter. Thus the entity was healed from the
body being used by other influences outside of self for gain. Thus the entity was purified
for a purpose, and became one who supplied in the laying on of hands, healing forces to
others.

15. Keep away from thy interpretations, then, that it would tend to be of prophecy,
but rather that which brings mental and physical healing because of the deep purpose
within thy soul.

16. The name then, as would be called in the present, was Elen.

17. Before that we find the entity was in those periods when there were those
judges in Israel, when there was one chosen of the entity's own sex who was the
interpreter for Barak. The entity was then a sister of the one who aided in keeping the
children of Israel in the way of the Lord, and the entity gained from the experiences that
which brings within its powers in the present of memory, of vision, of color, as of
pictures of places, of scenes of peoples who were of its sister through that experience.
The entity was then in the name Shammar.

18. Before that we find the entity was in the land when there were those who
gathered about the ark which had been placed in the Nile. The entity was then a maid to
Pharaoh's daughter and one who was given the privilege to be in the household of Moses'
mother during the rearing of the babe who became the lawgiver to the world. For, this is
the basis of the activity. Thus the entity, in the name then Tanai, heard the prayers, not
only of Jochabed but Miriam, as this entity saw the child grow and knew that for which it
was destined, that there were those forces, those influences such that indeed the soul of
each entity is a corpuscle in the body of God.

19. Before that we find the entity was in the land when there were those
preparations that man would not be wholly destroyed but how that the Father-God
warned Noah to build the ark and to gather his sons and their families. The entity was
one born in the ark during those periods, for the wife of Japheth, the son of Noah, was
heavy with child, and it was born during those periods in the ark.

20. The entity knows, then, the escape, knows the way innately, and that it is only
through the hands, the arms of God. Keep that eternal. Do give that to thy fellow man.

22. (Q) To what extent should my psychic or clairvoyant abilities or powers be
used?
(A) Used as has been indicated, in the writing.

3. As we find there are those unusual qualifications about this entity. Here is an
entity in whose activities precautions must be taken through the developing years as to its
health, especially pertaining to the respiratory system; else there may be hindrances
which would prevent the fuller or more complete development as to the abilities and
virtues that are a part of the entity's activity in the material plane.

4. This entity should be trained so that when there are the completions of its
development, the activity should be at or near the capitol of New York State; for from
there we find that the entity should become active in the affairs of the nation. You see,
there has been so much said about such activities and there has been so much expression
as to such activities that the entity has entered here; and he should have one day a voice
in the affairs of the state and of the nation.

5. We will find that the entity should be trained in law, and in political law,
political economics, political science. These should be the measures and activities
through and to which the entity should be given opportunities. In the early periods the
entity should express its ability to think on its feet, its ability to speak, its ability to
become as an active force in high places, public affairs, public officials.

6. The entity as we find is endowed with the ability to win everyone with whom
the entity makes personal contact. Then if there are those trainings, if there are those
activities through which the entity may gain the usage of such, keeping such through the
early training in line with spiritual things also, we find that these should be the
background for the entity.

7. With those warnings heeded and with those opportunities given, we find that
little should hinder the entity from becoming one who will respond.

8. For the entity in the early activities in this land, in the southern area, was John
Randolph II. In the House of Delegates his activities were such that the peoples from
other lands were the opponents in regard to the measures that were a part of the
experience.

9. Thus we will find in the present those opportunities for the entity to work under
the very same activities in which there were those measures taken through those periods.

10. Before that the entity was in the Roman land when there was much speech
making by those who were in the ruling house for an empire building.

11. Then in the name Bruces, the entity was an orator, a speech writer rather than
so much a deliverer; being one who controlled through its influence upon those who were
put in high places.

12. Before that the entity was among those journeying from Egypt to the Holy
Land.

13. Then in the name Zelus the entity was among the priests who were the readers
of the law in those periods when the activities demanded law and custom, as well as the
activities handed down from others by hearsay. The entity was rather a student or a
reader of the law.

14. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, among the Atlanteans who were
active when there were the attempts of unifying the varied groups when there was the
return of the priest to authority in partially a religious sense and partially a political sense,
but more in the moral way and in the preparation of individuals for special or definite
services in the land.

15. The entity was among the Atlanteans trained by the Atlanteans after the
entrance into Egypt, and thus a chief spokesman for the groups of Atlanteans.

17. Before that the entity was in the earth in the early periods of man's activity,
when there were children born to the sons of Noah.

18. The entity was among the first of the groups born in the earth after the deluge
or flood and the resettling in the lands of that period.

19. Then in the name Pelus, the entity was among those who made rules, laws and
regulations for activities under which there was agreement by the various groups of its
own peoples, in their separations, as to the records of how there were to be the settlings
and where and what would be the privileges of individuals.

20. Thus we find those activities leading to the needs for the entity being first
mindful of the health, then the opportunity in the training for law and public service.

22. (Q) What were the past relationships, what are the urges from these with the
following: First, the older brother, [2607]?
(A) These should be rather paralleled, for we will find where these were in the
same periods of experience so that there was the knowledge and the questioning
regarding each. There will ever remain quite a variation as to their associations, because
the tendencies of each are in entirely different channels of thought.

(A) These associations also should be paralleled; that is, where there were those
experiences together there were associations. These as we find have varied considerably,
but there are those problems to be worked out together. There will be periods when the
entity will be very close to the father. There will be other periods when great differences
will arise.

24. (Q) The mother, [2425]?
(A) In the same capacity in the early experience, and in those activities there
will come the helpfulness. And this entity will be VERY close to its mother in this
experience.

25. (Q) The paternal grandfather?
(A) These should be drawn upon by the needs, the means and the activities.

26. (Q) The paternal grandmother, [2174]?
(A) Very close especially in Egypt, but in others not so close. But the entity
will be directed, or should be directed, by the tenets and truths of each, especially in the
spirituality and purposes and ideals.

(A) Read what we have been giving. The entity should be very much closer,

own purposes - as well as the fulfilling of the laws that are of the universal or creative
nature. These have been growths, developments for the entity in this material experience.

6. While there are astrological aspects, and while sojourns through the earth have
brought, do bring continuous urges, yet that which has been builded in the present may
not be lauded too much.

7. For, while trials, tribulations, anxieties have been a part of the entity's present
experience, we find that despite these, in the face of much opposition at times from the
various sources of latent urges, the entity has held to that purpose which brings in the
present an experience as of a journey made straight, as a pathway to those with whom the

8. Let that light then be kept bright in thy dealings, in thy application of thy
abilities in the present; that there may come those admonitions from the great power in
man's consciousness of the closer walk with Him.

9. The astrological aspects in the present may have little influence. For, as has
been indicated here, those urges that arise either from sojourns during the interims or
from the experiences in the earth DO NOT exceed the WILL of an individual entity.
And, as this entity has set that as may indeed be an example to many, meeting the
problems and applying those things that are the fruits of the spirit of truth, - patience,
love, longsuffering, gentleness, kindness, - these have brought, do bring into the entity's
experience an appreciation from those with whom the entity may come in contact day by
day.

10. For, as the Lord hath given, they that sow the fruit of the spirit do not find it
returning empty-handed, but full of love, of thought, of care, of appreciation.

11. Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are the ruling influences in the entity's present
experience, as they have been through portions of the experience through this present
sojourn, as well as in others.

12. Saturn also indicates the changes that have come about suddenly, and yet with
the application of love and care and tenderness and thought there has grown more and
more of the beauty of life, and of the patience to bear with problems that to many would

19. Know that the creative forces are not dead, but He is God of the living - not of
the dead.

20. Then, keep thy heart YOUNG! Keep thy purpose true. Let that mind be in
thee as was in Him, that ye present thy body, thy mind, a holy sacrifice, acceptable unto
Him.

22. Before this the entity was in the land of the present sojourn, in those periods of
reconstruction following that known as the American Revolution.

23. The entity then entered the present land of sojourn in that now known as
Massachusetts. And in the activities which followed, in the spreading of knowledge, of
truth, of those purposes which had been a part of that upon which there had been the
establishment of the government of the land as for the people, by the people, through
those leaders, the entity was associated with that entity Adams - John Q.

activities in the appreciation of harmony, of song, of music.

32. Thus in the present may the entity contribute much, in aiding to supply the
physical and mental needs to a musician.

33. Before that the entity was in the Persian and Arabian land, when there were
those activities from same in which there was the spreading of the tenets of truth by the
teachings in the city in the hills and the plains. [7 to 9 thousand B.C.?]

34. The entity then was among the emissaries sent to the English land. There the
entity made contributions for the gatherings of groups or definite service, aiding in the
creating of groups for a common defense, a common cause.

35. Thus the entity made its contribution to creative influences, during those early
settlings in that land, - not only of the Norse people but of the Huns as well, that became
a part of that trying period in the early portions of that land's activity. [GD's note:

37. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when there
was the amalgamation of ideas and purposes from the religious as well as the activities

of the Atlantean land. These brought those periods of activities in that land.

39. In that experience the entity made contributions in the preparation of body for
the propagation of spirit with the purpose of the Law of One.

41. Before that, during the early activity when there were those preparations for the
preserving of man's activity in the earth, - the entity was the mother of that entity who

experiences of this entity may gather something from those purposes that have prompted
the activities of this entity through the material plane.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal
forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present
life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and
that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities
of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions,
as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we are given the records here of that entity now called [2624].

3. In giving an interpretation of the records as we find them, much may be given
as to the purposes and intents of this individual entity. An experience in the present of
sacrifice, and yet one of love and beauty that is above that ordinarily experienced in the
lives of those who may come in contact with this entity day by day.

4. Then, in choosing those records, those interpretations as we find them, it is done
with the desire that this may be a helpful experience for this entity; enabling it to better
understand, to better interpret much of the experiences in the present, and to better fulfill

5. That in the experience of each entity is purposeful, and not by chance. For, the
Giver of all good and perfect gifts has not willed that any soul should perish, nor that any

7. Thus, as promised by Him in His word recorded by the beloved, let not thy heart
be troubled nor let it be afraid; ye believe in God, believe also in Him who is able to
bring that peace as He promised, that If ye love me ye will keep my commandments,
and I will come and abide with thee, and will guide in ALL things, - whereunto there
may be brought the greater peace, the greater harmony in any material experience.

8. As to the urges latent and manifested, - many are evinced, as the abilities also of
this entity to bring consternation or to bring peace and harmony in those about the entity;
abilities in the activities not merely of the material but of the mental and spiritual nature.

9. For, as the individual entity THINKETH in the heart, so does the activity bring
about those vibrations, those activities that bring helpful OR retarding influences in the
experiences of those the entity may come in contact with daily.

10. For, no individual entity liveth to itself. No individual entity may pass any way
without changing, altering the course.

11. These interpretations, then, are that there may be those consciousnesses of that
activity as brings this harmony.

12. Magnify then the virtues of all, minimize the faults. Judge not if ye would not
be judged is not merely a saying or a tenet, but a principle, a law that is eternal; just as is

13. As to urges astrologically, - we find Venus in a double aspect; changes, as

14. The activities in Uranus bring the extremes, and yet patience, yet turmoil.
These are the characteristics or the influences in which the entity finds itself at times in
turmoil as to choices that may be made. These, as should be interpreted, - no influence or
urge surpasses the will of the individual entity, the birthright given of the Father that each
entity may make the choice, may know itself to be itself and yet one with the Father.

15. As to sojourns in the earth, - these, for this entity, have been quite varied. For,
in the household of those in authority, in authority itself, we find the entity making for
those activities as brought good, as brought misinterpretations, as brought periods of
wonderment in the activities of those about the entity.

16. Before this the entity was in the land of the present sojourn, among those who
came to the land as companions of those who had settled in the land.

17. The entity was a companion to one of the householders, one of those that rose
in authority in the house that RULED those of the land, - portions of now known
Virginia, as it spread to that area which included Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee, - all of
these were a part of that area over which the entity knew authority.

18. First the entity was in the name Bessie Walldrop, then it was in association
with one Dulcey - in the early settlings in that land.

19. In the experience the entity gained, for its counsels with not only those who
came to the new land for the activities in the land, but with those as to the establishing of
homes, the better preparations for education, the abilities of each household to become
sustained by its OWN activities.

20. For, the entity was among those who first established in the new land the
abilities for the activity in the loom, in the preparations of cloth needed in the home; and
the entity experienced much in the activities among those of varied groups.

21. Thus in the present the abilities as a seamstress, for any activity in home, the
directing and planning for activities of groups, are a part of the entity's experience.

22. Before that the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those
periods when there were turmoils in the land - because of those divisions among the
Scotch, the Welsh and the English. It was when there were those determinations that
there should be the representation by the activities as brought about eventually the
upsetting of the land, when there was the beheading of the king and the activities that
placed the common people in authority.

23. The entity was among those of her people who brought calmness out of chaos,
and yet not appreciated in that activity. Thus later the entity was sent to the French land,
which the entity abhorred!

24. The name then was Adolpheus. In the experience the entity inwardly,
spiritually, mentally gained; also gained that ability to hate - so that even in the present,
any individual against whom the entity would hold a grudge or malice is indeed
unfortunate.

25. Yet how the entity overcame in those experiences in the new land! Where
there were those appreciations, where there were those abilities of each to measure
according to the dictates of the own conscience, as well as the activities in which there
might be the equal rights to all!

26. Freedom, then, is the desire innate of the entity, to pursue its way of activity.
Blessed indeed then may the entity make of this in the present that as may be the guiding
influence in the lives of those with whom the entity comes in contact, - not by might, not
by power, but by that still small voice within; knowing that as ye would measure, that
measure may ye expect to be measured to thee again. For, the law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul.

Master walked in the earth, during those activities in which many came to know Him in
His personal activity.

28. For, the entity then was closely associated and identified with Martha, in the
city of Bethany. There the entity was as a helper, as a sister - not in the flesh, but in
activity. Thus, through those conditions that arose from the associations, when this
became a place for His footsteps, the entity was acquainted with Him. And there the
entity learned PATIENCE. There the entity learned the manner in which the spirit of
truth, as expressed in the seeds of virtue, of understanding, of acquaintanceship with
brotherly love and kindness, may bring into the experience of others those things that
make for harmony in the life.

29. When there were those periods of mourning for the death of the brother of
Martha, the entity was among those that mourned.

30. When there were those preparations for the entertaining, after the resurrection
of Lazarus, the entity aided there. And indeed in such preparations, few may be found
who may equal the abilities, the virtues of the entity in those directions!

31. And remember, as He gave, He that would be the greatest among you will
minister to all. These are basic truths, then. Apply them in thy life.

32. The name then was Susanna, and the entity was among those of the holy
women when there were the days of persecution. And there may be read much of the
activities of the entity during those periods of trial.

33. Hold fast, then, to those principles as thy ideals, and apply thyself, thy abilities,
in those fields where thy hands find work to do.

34. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, when there were those peoples
brought into the land, or who came for those protections from the upheavals in Atlantis.

35. The entity was among those of the Atlanteans first born in the Egyptian land.
Thus the entity saw those periods of recapitulations, the readjusting of the land for the
activities of the keepers of the Law of One as combined with the Priest, the King, and the
turmoils as had arisen though the banishment.

36. The entity was among those who aided in establishing the choice of vocations
for individuals. For, the entity - being purified by the fires of its own nature, through
those activities in the land - aided in establishing better relationships for the homes
throughout that land.

37. The name then was As-san-ath.

38. Before that, in those periods when there were the activities in the land such that
there had come those determinations for the bringing about of the destruction of the

to Noah in that experience.

40. Thus in the present experience, though separated in activities from those of its
own people, the entity has brought life, health and peace to others. So may the entity in
the present, through its present activities, bring those influences that will make for the
regeneration of those things and turmoils that are in the earth today.

(A) Here in America ye have aforetime found a home, ye have found that in the
lives of individuals who have STRENGTHENED this land. Thy greater purpose, then,

(A) Look to Him, and apply in thy daily life that ye learned and may learn
there, that ye may rediscover in thyself; that serving Him where thou art is the greater
glory, the greater blessing of all.

(A) Only in those counsels and in those aids thou hast administered and dost
administer. These we would keep.

(A) Because ye were once cast out by some of those.

(A) These are fields developing before thee. Be patient. For, in groups as an
instructor, as a director of activities in the establishings of homes, and the principles of

7. Will this entity see such again occur in the earth? Will it be among those who
may be given those directions as to how, where, the elect may be preserved for the
replenishing again of the earth?

8. Remember, not by water - for it is the mother of life in the earth - but rather by
the elements, fire.

11. As to whether or not the entity will be among those in the earth when the
changes again come, will depend upon the entity's preparation of self. Remember as to
how it was stated in regard to those chosen for such channels, in what to many was the
beginning of man's advent into the earth: They were perfect in their day and generation.
As individual entities they had chosen virtue in every form in relationship to things,
conditions and personalities in the earth.

12. In the entity's temperament from the astrological aspects, we find Mars,
Mercury, Venus and Jupiter indicating the manner in which the entity's activities are to be
in the present.

13. Then, abilities exist. And it is up to the entity to begin with the first things first
- spirituality, mental preparation, physical application. For as indicated, much must come
from the experience if there would be the living with self, as it were, in this sojourn; else
we will find the entity becoming so disturbed as to reach that condition or phase of
consciousness best expressed in Well, I don't care.

14. As to the appearances in the earth, not all will be given; yet these indicate a
portion of the entity's abilities. We would here for this entity reverse, as it were, the
order and begin with the appearances in the first and show the variations according to the
manner in which the individual has applied opportunities in conformance to its ideals in
relationship to spiritual things. And this means spirituality, not spiritualism!

15. In the first we find that the entity appeared in the land called Mu. There the
entity was among those who gave expression to the activities pertaining to the
consideration of others as equals, as to individual rights also. Thus there was an
unfoldment in mental and spiritual things.

16. Then the entity gained, in the name Oru.

17. Next we find that the entity entered in those periods when the littleness of man
had come up as a stench before the throne of mercy and grace, or the Creative Forces.

18. The entity was among the peoples not of the lineage of Noah, but of those later
known as the Hittites. Then the entity gave expressions to that same experience that was
materially manifested in Mu, and the entity - as the wife of a son of Noah - became
among the eight souls in the ark, in the preparation and in the endurance thereof, and in
those experiences gained in the activities through the earth's influence.

19. The name then was Maran. From that sojourn there is much experienced in the
present in the entity's liking of the history of the early ages of man, of those experiences
that are the promptings for the souls and minds of individuals, rather than the material
things.

20. At times the entity is berated by others for being rather in that mind of Don't
care than in that of a practical, everyday life.

21. Hence the entity is a sensitive. Read the Scripture pertaining to the days of
Noah, the law proclaimed by Enoch (found mostly in Jude and in the early chapters of
Genesis). Here is one entity who may write, not automatic but rather inspirational
writing, shutting itself away and attuning itself by very distant music, and especially
bells. For, under such an inspiration - not as a means of doing other than attuning the
inner self - the entity may write inspirationally of things pertaining to mental and spiritual
aspects of individuals grasping for attunement to the divine.

22. After that the entity appeared in the Holy Land during those periods of the
Judges in Israel, and in that period of what is oft spoken of as Jepthah's rash vow.

23. The entity was a close friend of Jepthah's daughter offered as a human sacrifice
to that overzealousness of an individual entity, who used his powers for material gains
and strength and yet accorded those judgments of truth; causing this entity, Judyth, to
become disturbed, distraught, and to lose much of that which had been the impelling
force.

24. Hence the making of rash vows brings individual activities that yet disturb the
entity, as to why individuals vow this or that and then, because they change, the entity
can never exactly connect them with truth or sincerity. These bring disturbances for the
entity. Yet the entity itself gained.

25. Following that the entity was in the Holy Land when there were those changes
wrought by the entity called the prophet Mohammed.

26. The entity then was among those individuals who were caught, as it were, in
circumstance, and the entity in its activity, in that portion of the land, again brought a
balance in the manners of presentation.

27. The name then was Shusan.

28. Following that the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those
periods when there was the warring of one against the other, when brother was pitted
against brother.

29. The entity was among those of its present land of nativity who were associated
with those who were considered as rebellious against the government.

30. For the entity was among those peoples of the land of its present nativity who
were associated with those who were rebels, and the entity itself was rather a rebel in its
purpose as to the needs for servants for labors.

32. As to the abilities of the entity in the present:

33. The periods of change that have been wrought in the earth are, as it were, a part
of the entity's experience. And in applying self to truth, to light, to justice as may be
found in those tenets and truths of the Master, the entity may seek to glorify that purpose,
that ideal.

34. As a writer the entity may succeed. As a teacher it may become well known.
As a student the entity may go far, in still supplying to those who seek, a way, a means of
expression.

(A) It will have to be altered as to there becoming a purpose for the song, and
not an emotion of a group or individual.

37. (Q) Who would be the best one to publish it?
(A) This depends upon the change. But this may go through regular channels.
This would necessitate ideals being set for it, and first that it be set to a type of music that
would be in keeping with the purpose set for the song.
It would be well, as we find, to have this considered by one who sets songs to
music, or who prepares them as in the Hour of Charm.

(A) These are well, but you may write things greater than songs. Psalms and
songs, yes - sayings and songs would be well.

(A) This will depend upon what the needs are. There is much more important
help to the family than financial. If this is put first and foremost, ye may lose the way. If
the ideal is set first, the finances will follow.

4. In analyzing the experiences of this entity in the earth, and the life experience of

be a helpful thing for the entity. Though some suggestions may appear at first as jokes,
they may be realities for the entity.

5. We would minimize the faults, we would magnify the virtues. For the entity as a
whole is a very unusual personality in the present, having had (and will have) many
unusual experiences of a purely material as well as of a metaphysical nature.

6. Then, in analyzing those urges that are a part of the whole experience of the

8. In Uranus, Venus, Mars and Neptune we find what would be called astrological
urges, or an awareness or consciousness attained by the entity through the experiences in
unusual environs and surroundings, and of the various activities.

9. Here again we find that the entity has changed back and forth in its sex, and -
while very feminine - the entity would appear in many respects very masculine.

10. In Uranus we find the extremes, the interest in odd things, unusual things; not
that altogether circumspect at times but that in keeping with the very nature of the entity
without desire for hurt for any, or of even the completing of the latent urge for a thrill in
the experiences of the material activities of the entity.

11. The entity is a great student, as indicated in Mercury as well as in Uranus and
Neptune. Thus scientific things and experiments should be a part of the entity's activity
in the present, but preferably as an associate of a scientist that does an unusual character
of research. For the entity might oft be a real inspiration to such an one, if there are other
phases of human experience in which they would respond one to another.

12. Thus the greater purpose of the entity's experience, as we shall see, is to be a
helpmate for some scientific research individual in this sojourn. Whether this has to do
with the helpful forces as in the conveniences for family life or that research in the
activities of the mind or soul, doesn't matter a great deal to the entity. To know those
things that are to many classed as unknowable, to do those odd or unusual things that few
others of the entity's sex have been able to do, becomes an innate urge and is the field of
activity for the entity. The ability to psychometrize the vibrations of places, things and
conditions, becomes a part of the Uranian influence with Neptune, though the Neptune
influence is more of the spiritual while the Uranian is that pertaining to the metaphysical
nature or as to occult forces.

13. Complying with these, or being related in relative activity to Mars, makes for
that very active person. And if there were a talky marathon put on, the entity would be
able to out talk most of those that would undertake to talk the entity down! These are the
characteristics, and the unusual things pertaining to new thought, things pertaining to
unusual metaphysical experiences are of interest. All of this, as we find, would tie to that
ability of the entity in being a companion, helpmate or wife to one that is a researcher in
any of those fields of activity - or one that is a scientific researcher in electronics, or
things of that nature. The entity would be helpful to an individual working in such
things. And he would never get lonesome either!

14. As to the activities of the entity in the earthly sojourns, - we find that these
have been quite varied, and quite far apart; hence bringing this unusual attitude towards
activities in the earth as would deal with physical relationships.

15. Before this the entity was in the Roman land when there were the greater
persecutions of certain groups of individuals, when the church for a time flourished there,
then those in the Palestine area and even in Rome were persecuted and experimented with
as to their abilities to withstand fear of beast and of man.

16. The entity was among those in a part of its experience quite given to seeing
such tests being made.

17. Hence in the present the entity may indulge in the unusual, in oddities - like
going to the bottom of the sea or to the highest mountain; or in connection with
aeroplanes or such.

18. Yet in the latter portion the entity became convinced because of the lack of fear
in the eyes and in the activities of those that had wholly put on love as manifested by
individuals and groups that were tested in the arenas. Hence the entity turned soft
hearted, as many had been called before, and then applied self in contributing to the
needs of those that had been deprived of many things - the children of those that were
offered in the arena, either as in combat with man or beast in the arena.

19. Thus in the present we find the interest in unusual types of Christian ministry,
accepting those things indicated in New Thought - or that termed such, in the present by
many. This has been well.

20. The entity then was in the name of Lelah Henererman. The entity lost and
gained, and in the present is seeking for something it has not yet found. As indicated, this
may be supplied, this may be added to so that the entity may become a contributing factor
for good - as the companion or wife of a research worker in any field of activity.

21. Before that the entity was in that land when there were the journeyings of a
chosen people to the land of promise.

22. In those experiences when there was the full destruction of the Midianites with
the activities in a portion of the land the entity was in the household of those in authority
- in the name then Heloise. The entity sought to know all of those happenings to those
that had attempted to hinder, as well as the outcome of the destruction of a companion
with Israelites by Eleazar.

23. These have brought, do bring a concept of relationships in morality to the entity
in a manner that is experienced by few. These, though, make for abilities of the entity to
write, or to draw conclusions from the happenings that might be applied in the experience
of many, if the entity were to apply such in those directions.

24. Before that the entity was in the Inca land when there had been the journeyings
of the Atlantean peoples for setting up what later came to be known as the Incal
activities.

25. There the entity was a companion of the one that acted in the capacity of a
leader in setting up the customs, rituals and activities in that land following the
destruction of Atlantis.

26. Thus ceremony, routine and such activities are innately a part of the entity.
And at times we find the entity very active in the minutest detail in trying out
experimentations both mental and physical; thus making of itself, as it were, an apt
companion for a student of science in any of its fields of endeavor.

27. The name then was Esema.

28. Before that the entity lived in the earth during those periods when the peoples
were separated that prepared for the preserving of the activities in the earth.

29. The entity was the son of Ham (Canaan) that laughed at the weakness of the
grandfather. Thus the entity was one of those who occupied the ark, or was in the ark
during that period.

30. After the journeys in the ark, the entity set out activities in definite conditions
for the establishing of groups in various portions of the land.

31. Thus things that have to do with mechanical things are innately of interest.
And the entity gathers those peculiar things or oddities about itself in one respect or
another.

32. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain and

7. Hence in the fields of activity as an overseer, supervisor, or the like, the entity
may find the outlet and the manner for giving greater expressions of those abilities which
are latent and manifested in the experience and the records of this entity.

8. Thus, in giving the interpretations as we find them here, much of the faults may
be minimized and much of the virtues may be stressed.

9. When the composite urges are considered from the material and the astrological
activities, - many of those about the entity find that the entity is oftimes discouraged yet
would give expression to the most optimistic outlook. Hence the entity gives the
impressions to others that it is not wholly truthful at all times, as would be considered by
some. This in the entity is not a fault, - most of the fault being in those who would pass
judgement on those who attempt to put the best foot forward.

10. For, the entity lives and acts towards others - as has been indicated - as a
channel through which greater expression, greater spiritual, mental - yea, material things
may come. Thus the entity is especially fitted for directing the activities of those in lesser
position, or who are less able to present their claim from the purely physical or material
angle.

11. More often than otherwise, then, the entity will find self representing the cares
and problems of others. Thus, ever will the entity carry burdens upon its mental and its
physical self.

12. These urges, then, need to be understood by the entity as well as by those about
the entity. For, to few does encouragement in word mean as much as it does to this
entity.

13. Astrological aspects to the entity mean little. Yet, they have their place in the
urges and the inclinations which at times present themselves in the experiences of the
entity.

14. Mercury gives the abilities of the entity to consider the problems as a whole.
This tends to make for the optimistic outlook. This also tends to make those urges in
which the entity sees problems, conditions or activities, as a finished product rather than
the detail necessary for the completing of same.

16. We find in Venus both the benevolent and rather the extravagant appreciation
of finer things. Hence we find the entity is one oft worshiping from afar, as it were;
appreciating those abilities in others and giving expressions of same that cause
questionings at times in the associates of the entity. Yet these, too, are virtues. For, the
cat can look at a king and be the gainer; and so could the king - if he would see the
worshipfulness in the gaze or the thought.

17. From the activities in Jupiter we find the universality, as well as the urges
toward benevolence in its broader sense.

18. In these things we find the associations with the groups and with the
fellowman, particularly as related to things and their dealing with same.

19. As to the urges arising from the appearances in the earth, - we find these more
expressive through the emotions of the entity.

20. The entity is rather an emotional individual, as may be indicated in analyzing
same from the astrological aspects; and these become more accentuated from the material
or earthly sojourns.

21. Not all of the sojourns may be indicated at once, but those as we find that have
their activity in the problems and experiences of the entity in the present.

22. Know that these change, as does the body, about every seven years; unless one
becomes satisfied in body, mind and spirit, so that such have become atrophied.

23. As to the sojourns, then:

24. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, especially when
there were those turmoils that arose from activities upon the borders of the land, when
there were those journeying from the land who later returned to the activities there.

25. The entity was in and about the land of its present environ, being active in the
preparations for better conditions in the land - in the way of aiding unemployment, in that
of road building, in the divisions of lands, in the overseeing of the harvesting of crops and
the preparation of same for distribution, - not only in the various portions of the land but
for shipment to other lands.

26. In all of those activities did the entity engage; and many of those about the
entity in the present were among the associates or acquaintances of the entity during that
period of activity.

27. Not as much stress was given by the entity upon the spiritual life as there is
sought to be expressed in the present. Hence we find those periods in the present when
there is the allowing of spiritual imports to be placated by needs of the moment in
material things. These may become stumblingstones to the entity.

28. Let there be first considered the spiritual life and the imparting of same through
the associations of every form and manner. For, the earth is the Lord's and the fullness
thereof; the silver and the gold are His. He tempereth those whom He would entrust with
the material as well as mental and spiritual blessings in a material experience.

29. For, as He has given, never has there been the seed of the righteous man
begging bread.

30. Before that the entity was in the Roman land, during those activities of the
soldiers in the Palestine land; the entity being among the legions that were stationed
through the various portions of Palestine - during and following the persecution of those
who sought to become more closely affiliated with the teachings of the Master.

31. There the entity was not only among the guard of Cornelius but also of Oxidus
(?) [Archippus?] in Laodicea. For, there the entity first came under the direct activities of
the church established by Lucius and his followers and associates.

32. Through the greater portion of its experience and sojourn in the land, the entity
was an active member in keeping down even the disputes that arose among the Jews as
well as the centurion or Roman guard.

33. In the experience the entity gained the more. For, as indicated, there lies in the
entity at present the ability to keep peace among those who labor daily and those who are
as the keepers of the activities of those who thus labor.

34. The entity through that experience, then, gained in its abilities; bringing into
this present experience the urges not only in those directions of church and social
activities but also in regard to material gains or relations.

35. Then the name was Pollos.

36. Before that the entity was in the Peruvian land, as now called, where there were
those activities that followed the disturbances from the destruction of the Atlantean land.

37. The entity was among those very close to the Inca that ruled during that
experience.

38. Thus we find the desires latent, that are expressed in the spiritual emotions as a
worshiper of those things just above the entity - in mind, in person, in position, in
problems. For, the entity led those who prepared the soil for providing the provisions, and
also the mining and mineral interests of the land, as well as the building and constructive
forces.

39. For, the entity then was one upon whom the Inca depended for the relationships
with the masses of the peoples.

40. The name then was Omhar.

41. Before that the entity was active when there were those first separations of the
sons of those who were saved at the periods when the ark settled upon Ararat, and when

42. We find the entity attempted to create the better relationships with the various
groups of individuals, and those who sought to make for disturbances that brought
dissensions among the sons of Noah. For, the entity attempted to carry on those tenets
and conditions which had been presented by his grandfather Noah in that period.

43. Yet the entity was overridden by those of power, might and position.

44. Hence latently, though he may find expression in over- activity, we find that
the entity feels himself a little bit beneath that he attempts to gain.

45. The name then was Jeurepth.

46. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and
how:

47. First, - analyze self and self's problems; physically, mentally, spiritually. Know
that these depend one upon the other, and that to be creative they must bear the imprint of
the spiritual life.

49. That field of activity in which the entity may deal with the soil should be the
work or endeavor in the material relationships; and yet as a supervisor or overseer -

our present problems and how may I meet these conditions for our mutual development?
(A) Worshiped from afar in the experience just before this; as a companion or a
relationship of those with whom the entity labored. And, so close - oft - not all that
glitters seems bright.

56. (Q) Give my past associations with my sister [1523], explain the urges, that we
may be helpful to each other in the present.
(A) The associations were as brother and sister, during the return of those to the
land; being one among those whom the entity aided. They lose patience one with the
other, just as they did then.
These are to be turned, of course, into channels in which there will be give and take.
No one individual knows it all, though each of you feel you do at times!

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal
forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present
life; also the former appearances in the earth's plane, giving time, place and the name, and
that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities
of the present entity and that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the
questions which he may submit, as I ask them:

2. EC: (In going back over years from present - - '36 - yes - a new environ and
surrounding - '34 - '31 - good and bad, and the changes in activities - '29 - '19 - dangers
always near - '17 - '03 - a new light! - '01 - '98 - what a power in self! '96 - '79 - yes - the
visions! why didn't he hold to those! - '78 - '77 - etc., on back to birth date.)

3. Yes, we are given the record here for that entity now known as or called [1851].

4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, these are
chosen with the desire that the experience may be a helpful one to the entity, - in
assurance, in understanding, in application.

5. Not all, to be sure, may be drawn at once. As the greater incentive is for each
soul to experience the promise which IS in Him, YE may of thyself turn within and know
- through thine OWN inner self - the assurance of that promise that ye may know ALL
things since the foundations of the earth.

6. In the emblematical, - the entity is ever the torchbearer; and this should be as an
emblem to remind the self of the needs of purity and of life, that the truth itself may be
the more readily grasped by those who seek; and again to aid the entity in not casting
before those who are not ready that which may become a stumbling-stone in their
experience.

7. For the purpose (as is comprehended) is that each soul may know its
relationships to the Creative Forces as are manifested in the manner of application of
same in relationships to the fellow man day by day.

8. So live, then, in the light of that which IS thine own experience, that thy life
may become more and more the pattern to those who must have that which they may
visualize in their experiences for the practical application.

9. For, tenets, theories, those things which stand even as an emblem of order, -
even as light, - must be PRACTICAL things, conditions, experiences; that man in his
search may know more and more that those tenets are those that must be applied in the
relationships one to another.

10. For, as ye do it unto the least of thy brethren, ye do it unto thy Maker.

11. And as a light bearer, hold, HOLD HIS faith, His principle, before thy fellow
man.

12. As to the astrological aspects, - these as we find, as the entity has applied self in
the present sojourn, would come to mean little, - save as signs, as emblems as it were
along the way.

13. Yet these in the analysis of the relationships of Creative Forces as manifest in
those things that are spiritual as well as terrestrial, are indeed one; yet it depends upon the
manner of application the individual entity or soul makes of same as to how great or how
little the influence of such becomes in one's experience.

14. These as we find, then, as in the Uranian, the Jupiterian, the Mercurian, the
Venus, all become portions of the entity's experience, by the very sojourn of the entity
through those environs in the interims between earthly sojourns.

15. Hence the extremes that so oft become a part of the entity's experience in
materiality, - the relationships to the masses, and yet how close the individual activity has
been in the entity's searching out the minds, the intents, the purposes and the sources of
imports of individuals! making the very extremes become AS the manifested activity in
the entity's present experience or sojourn.

16. The Mercurian influence makes for the mental forces, as in Venus the sly, - yet
the beautiful, yet the harmonious, yet those that make for the relationships in which
material activities are more or less forgotten, as is self. For only that which ye give do ye
possess. This ye know.

17. For if ye would have life, give it, - if ye would have friends, show thyself
friendly.

18. These are laws, as ye understand and comprehend in the light of the activities
that have been through the experiences as well as in the present activities.

19. As to sojourns in the earth, these are they - as we find from the records here -
that are influencing in the immediate. Many ye have passed over, - a few ye are yet to
see.

20. Before this we find the entity was in the English or Scottish land when there
were those activities of the peoples who through their very exodus from the Holy Land
brought much of those activities from ancient days, - in their manner of CONDUCTING
their activities in relationships to the worship of a Supreme Being.

21. The entity was one that counseled, yet one that led as a priest - as would have
been termed in the days of old - in the manner, the mode, the realm of activity of various
individuals, - as to how the various realms of the stone, of vegetation, of animal, all had
their part in the evolution of ideas as well as mannerisms of activity of individuals.

22. The name then was Kremel, if it were to be interpreted into words or letters of
the present.

23. In the experience the entity gained, and - as indicated as the emblem - was a
light bearer.

24. For as he set a light upon the hills of those of that land for the guiding of others
for principles and purposes that were creative in their natures, those purposes and aims
were builded that are being sought and seen, that are being given into the lives of others
in the present.

25. Before that we find the entity was in that now called the Promised Land, during
those days when the Master walked in the earth, - and among those who crowded about
the Master, especially upon the mountainside.

26. We find the entity, as one Zacheus (not the little man), but was of the Judean
country where those activities were just beginning, during that early portion of the
ministry, to become a thought or tenet of those peoples.

27. There we find the entity holding both to the form as well as to the principle that
was being proclaimed. For the entity was of that group of Essenes of which John and
others had been a portion. Hence to many of the peoples, especially of the Pharisee
group, the entity was termed a rebel, a radical. Yet the entity gained through those
activities much that brought - while disturbing forces and hardships in the material
activities - the love of nature, the love of the beautiful, the listening to the voices as for
the interpreting of the message from the teacher that proclaimed, Blessed are the
peacemakers - for they shall inherit the earth.

28. Practice this again in thy experience, - not as one that is a pacifist for the
secular forces or reasons, but that there may be an opening into the mind and heart
between the spiritual and mental forces of each soul to know that peace which passeth all
understanding! and that giveth a surety in the minds and hearts of those who know the
consciousness of His abiding peace within.

29. Before that we find the entity was in the Persian land, during those periods of
change as wrought by the Grecians as well as the teachers in the city in the hills and the
plains.

30. There we find the entity acted in the capacity of one who was not exactly a
soothsayer, yet as an interpreter of the experiences of others through their visions, their
activities, - as of the sun, the moon, the stars, the seasons and the astrological aspects that
become a part of each and every soul, as combined with not only its racial tendencies but
the heritage through the associated activities of each soul in its environmental forces of
each period.

31. The entity there, as Mekeael, counseled with Uhjltd as well as the individuals
from the Grecian land, to make for rather a united effort in the healing arts as were
proclaimed by Uhjltd in those associations.

32. In the present the application of that gained is the inner knowledge which arises
by the deeper meditation into the realms of not merely the tenets or lessons of others but
within the inner self.

33. Hence those things pertaining to the affluences and activities arising from all
such relationships become as a realm of thought, as well as activity for the entity in the
present; and will be developed more as these progress in their application.

34. Again we find the entity, before that, was in the Egyptian land during the very
early periods.

35. For the entity was the eighth from Adam [Methuselah, son of Enoch? See GD's
note below, 1851-1, Reports.], and in the days of the exodus and the periods of
understanding through those activities; journeying more from what is now the Chaldean
than the Egyptian land, though spending many of the periods in the activities through
which the records were set as for things that were, that were to be, - these became a part
of the study of the entity throughout those periods.

36. Hence oft the entity may lose self in those things that are found there. For, as
that was the interpreting of the earth as it was, as it is, as it is to be, so came those
activities to preserve same for the seeker to know his relationships to the past, the present
and the future, when counted from the material standpoint.

37. And as the entity sought in those experiences to make time and space, as well
as patience, the realms that express the universality of the Force called God, so may
THIS become in the present experience that in which the entity may excel, - in giving
that assurance to those who seek their closer understanding of the relationships one to
another.

38. As to the abilities, then, - that to which it may attain, and how:

39. WHO is to give the sage knowledge, but Him Who is the Creator, the Maker of
All?

40. For as ye and others know and realize ye were in the beginning, then study to
show thyself approved unto thy Maker, a workman not ashamed, rightly dividing the
words of truth; keeping self pure in such a way that thy conscience never condemns thee,
or from man unspotted of the world.

41. Ready for questions.

42. (Q) I have a certain plan in my mind regarding the West. What do you think of
its possibilities?
(A) The plans are excellent. As to the seeking to give to others the material or
physical activities, this requires thought and consideration. These should work well.
We are through for the present.
Much might be given as respecting individual experiences, or as to thought and
purposes. Keep thy faith in Him!

R1. 5/6/62 GDs note: Wife of Dr. (1851) wrote thanking HLC for stopping by to see
them on his way out west. It is interesting to note that Dr. (1851) was still active, just
about to enter his eighty-ninth year. In Mr. Cayces Bible group I heard him refer many
times to Enoch as the seventh from Adam, who walked with God and was not because
God took him. If this is true, then Methuselah would be the eight from Adam?

R2. 11/25/74 Mr. [1851]'s niece, Hermine Anne Magnus visited A.R.E. and obtained
copy of her uncle's reading. He is deceased and she will write us exact date he died once
she obtains information from her aunt.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal
forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities latent and exhibited in the present
life. Also the former appearances in the earth's plane, giving time, place, and the name,
and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the
abilities of the present entity and to that which it may attain, and how.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, and those relations with the universe, and the
universal forces, as are manifested in the earth's plane in the present life, and the
influences from those as are exhibited from sojourn in the earth's plane, with those
conditions for which the entity has merited or brought to itself, that may through the
present earth plane be met with the will, the development in the passage through the
plane at this time.

3. In this entity (the present earth's plane) we have the fulfilling of that injunction
as was given in the words of the great preacher, [Solomon] A high look, a proud heart,
but the plowing of the wicked is sin. [Proverbs 21: 4] [An high look, and a proud heart,
AND the plowing of the wicked, IS sin.]

4. In the present earth's plane, through the entity's sojourn, we have many different
phases in development and in the manifestations of same, for in the present we find the
position assumed from that of Mercury, with influences of Mars, Uranus and Neptune.
One then desiring to create about self mysticism, or one not understood by others, yet
presenting a bold face and position, and able to establish same in fact or by letter of law.

5. One who is given with many mental abilities. One who with appearances keeps
the ennobling influence of religious thought paramount in secular action, yet weighted
with those mystic forces as are found in Neptune and in the occult forces in Uranus. One
with mental abilities to gain great wealth through the periods when we find Jupiter's
influence in that of Uranus and Neptune. One with doubts as to whether such monies
would bring the better development, or the better aptitude for the DE-velopment rather
than development.

6. One that we find is good in character reading of individuals. One we find who
has been associated with individuals that have proven untrue in operations, though self
not entangled in same.

7. One capable of handling many peoples when the correct principles are outlined
for the individual. One who, with making the mental combine with the ennobling and the
real forces of Universality, may give much to self development and to others.

8. One who will ever find the better relations, whether of social, mental or
financial, in those that have to do with ecclesiastical relations, and rather those of the
moral code.

9. One we find whose mentalities lie then in many directions. As to how these may
be developed and brought to the usage of the present entity, we find same manifested
through the various phases of development in the earth's plane.

10. Then, as to appearances:

11. In the one before this, we find in the early days of the settling of Ukraine, when
the Promised Land peoples were being distributed among those peoples who sought out
the destruction of those people. The entity in the youth brought to Ukraine. Then in the
name of Omri, and the entity then served in that capacity of the attendant to the power
that sought the destruction, or the household of him who was a leader in the Crusade. In
the development then, and in the personality, we find that ability to take orders, when
given from the source that to the entity is unquestionable, and with the same we find the
entity desiring freedom in thought and in action. Hence bringing to self the mysticism, or
the unaccounted for, to many, of the secrecy of its (the entity's) actions.

12. In the one before this, we find in the days of the rebuilding of the walls from
the first time the destruction brought to Holy City. The entity then in that capacity of the
scribe to the ruler. Then in the name Enlea, and the entity developed much in that day,
and through the law and the giving of same to many peoples, and especially to those of
the household of that faith. The personality then as exhibited in the present earth's plane,
the love of the letter of the law, the desire to always appear abiding by same.

13. In the one before this we find in the Mongolian peoples when the divisions in
the lands brought the peoples together in that walled place, now near that of Sitar, in
Mongolian, and the entity then in the name of Oibjuea. The development there through
force rather than of self-will, and the entity only remained in that of the ne'er do well. In
the present we find the personality is of the one seeking to acquire that through the labors
of others with the information furnished by self.

14. In the one before this we find in the beginning of the peopling of the earth, near
what was then called Babel, and the entity in that of Sitknar, and was in the household of
the founder of the building then first begun. This was before the town afterward called
tower was built on same site. The entity from this sojourn again finds the ability to think
for self.

15. Then, as to the abilities of the entity, and how to apply them in the present
earth's plane:

16. First, seek to make self aright in spirit and in truth, through the Divine forces as
relate to self and others. Then apply self to the usage of the abilities in self in no
uncertain terms, seeking ever the welfare of others as of self. Never undermining, never
underhanding, never giving cause for the doubt of the faith as lies in spiritual laws
applied to the physical conditions, and in this manner, and through the channels the entity
has chosen for its present work and labors, will come much of this world's goods, for in
the meridian of life we will find there will come the conjunction of the influences of
Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Mercury, with Neptune and Uranus, and in that month Nicen*
[Nisan?] we will find there will come the greater amount of monies through the efforts of
the entity.

17. Then, use that as given for the manifestations of the liberty as desired in self for
those who depend directly upon the entity for liberty for themselves.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, and those relations with the Universe and
Universal Forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present earth's plane.

3. In taking the position in the present earth's plane, we find the entity coming
under the influence of Jupiter, Mercury, and of Neptune, with those influences from
Venus and Uranus. Hence we find, irrespective of will forces, these influences in the
present life, and many of these urges are seen as latent, as well as the influences in the
urge from the experiences in the earth's plane.

4. One, then, given to ever do good to others.

5. One that always prefers others before self.

6. One that has the high ennobling influence on the life of others.

7. One given to good works toward others.

8. One that finds the greater conditions in life being in that of being of help and
assistance to others.

9. High minded to a fault.

10. One that loves to see the greater influence of good in the lives of those whom
the entity contacts, disliking any little, mean, petty, conditions.

11. One given to the love of games, of sports, of any condition requiring the mental
abilities of the individual.

12. One that, with the will forces applied in the life, brings such conditions to
others.

13. Without the application of will's force within self, gives that impression of the
opposite conditions in own life, with the responding effect to those dependent upon the
entity.

14. One that will find that in the giving of the opportunity to express individuality
would go far in giving others the opportunity of manifesting the expression of love.

15. As to the influences as are seen, irrespective of the will as applied in the present
existence:

16. One that has often, under the influence of the Pisces, brought to self those of
the eccentric forces as not understood by others, reaping same in self's action as the
aggrandizement of the weaknesses in the flesh.

17. One that will find that the application of those influences in Jupiter and in
Uranus will, in the present year, near the date October 21st, bring the greatest
opportunities for good in the present existence, will the entity apply will forces in
carrying out that as is presented at that time, for near then we find Uranus and Jupiter in
the square to each other, and there will be exceptional conditions in the earth's plane
through the influence of that in the lives of those in the earth plane whose sojourn has
been in Jupiter and Uranus. Uranus, then being in the square to Jupiter, brings both the
exceptional GOOD and the abilities to apply same. Take advantage of same!

18. In that of the appearances, we find as these, for their influences in the present
existence brings much of those of urges and influences in the present existence:

19. In the one before this we find the entity then in power, in the rule as in that
known as France, and in that as of the entity then known as Louis 16th, and the entity
gained through the oppression to the entity and those about same, losing in that of the
ability to apply OWN will with reference to good of others. Hence we see the two
combating influences in the present as an urge. One that loves those of the intrinsic
conditions as respecting detail in any mechanical devices, and the entity would have
made a wonderful clock repairer, or clocksmith. The entity finds also that urge as
pertains to those of medicine, and of mechano-therapy, as was first given then by this
entity during the sojourn in the earth's plane.

20. In the one before this we find in that of the entity Romulus, who assisted in the
building of that now known as Rome, and the entity lost and gained in that period, for in
the labors there came success, and in success came self-aggrandizement, which gave to
the entity that of the oppression to others. In the present urge we find the entity not able
to countenance, stand, or bear, oppression in any manner or form, whether in the animal,
mineral or vegetable kingdom.

21. In the one before this we find in the days when the building of the city that will
soon be discovered in the plains of Araby. The entity then in the name Obdieugoan, and
the entity gained in that period for the service to the peoples in that plane, in the
assistance given to suffering in body and in mind, for those were those conditions that, in
the present urge, gave to the entity (as in the dream which came to the entity in the
present plane) that of the application of self to that of medicine for the afflicted, and as
same was builded in the mental, so came the expression in applying same, so would be
found that as of expressing same through the continuation of same.

22. In the one before this we find in that land when the Tower was being builded to
the heavens. The entity then among those who labored in that as of the building in that of
the mental, rather than of the physical, for then, as the leader, the entity gave that of the
help to those who labored, in giving that as to WHY the building was being made. Then
in the name Ouiael, and the entity gained in that experience in the efforts of the help to
those peoples, yet was submerged through those who rose as chiefs above same. In the
urge as is seen, the desire to see many of the casts of ideas expressed in forms of material
nature, and the study of same is ever interesting to the entity. Hence we find the entity
would have made a good sculptor.

23. In the one before this we find in those days when the division came in that land
known as the Egyptian. The entity then in that position as the counsellor to the council,
and as the sage to those who would bring together those of the stores for the preservation

first be conquered and put in submission to the Will of the Giver, the Omnipotent Force
as is manifested through the various phases of those experiences through which the entity
has reached, does reach, will reach, that plane in which the Oneness in Him is made One
with Him, the ALL.

24. Then, apply self in THAT direction, for in Him is the Light, and the Light is the
Light of the World, for the giving of self in service is lending to the Maker.
