Hellooooooooo, Friends and Family,

The past few months have been busy, fun, and exhausting. Glory be to God. He
continues to teach, refine, and allow me to struggle and grow in ways I never imagined
so that I might turn again to Him to taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8).
Thank you for your continued prayers, letters from home and encouragement. I cherish
them so much.
During the month of May, the children began competing in races between all
the age groups as a fun physical activity. The fastest runners were awarded medals and
most everyone had a good time.
We had a field trip to the waterfall
Pailn Del Diablo, the park, and prepared for the Art Show that was to come in a cou-
ple short weeks.
Rick (one of the missionaries) taught
numerous art classes throughout the
year so the kids could show off their
work at the Art Show on June 6th.
Several people from the community
toured the school. Art was hung
everywhere. The kids had so much fun
and we all enjoyed their hard work.

We also had a Maribels quinceaera this month be-
cause she turned fifteen! She got her new shoes (which signi-
fies becoming a woman), danced with significant men in her
life (missionaries), and ended the party with everyone dancing.
Ive had the privilege of
spending more time with the children
in the afternoons, having tea after
school and/or watching a movie. I also
went to Youth Group with several of
the older girls. One night, instead of a
message, they decided to do skits and
we had to compete to see who would
win. Abigail
(one of the
older girls) and I
were thrown
into a random
group as she translated for me and we tried to figure out what we
were doing. We ended up following Jesus as He healed a blind man.
We tried to keep from laughing the entire time and both agreed it
was rather awkward/embarrassing to perform a skit with people we
didnt even know.
This month I got a new roommate! Hannah Hughes came to
join me in Ecuador and serve for a couple months. It has been such a
blessing to have her, even just these past few days and I cannot wait
to see what God has for her in the next couple months.
God has been so faithful these 5 months. There have been incredibly lonely times and I have wanted to hop
on the next plane and go home. However, by Gods grace, I have been continually pointed to Christ, reminded to
find satisfaction in Him and to fix my eyes on Him, the Author and Perfector of my faith.
